Great reaction! Tom Jones loved soul music. Born in Wales. I think I'm about Stevie'age ( my birthday 2/21/1951). Place in the Sun one of myf avorites! Fun together!😂
Many people stateside don't realise just how massive a star Tom was here in UK, with his own show featuring many top stars of the day. He was so well loved that Supremes singer Mary Wilson became one of many lovers, and even flew across the Atlantic to meet up with him, later saying he was one of the great loves of her life.
Love these guys both are on my playlists ,I have to add this one now . I agree,I’m assuming this performance is from The Tom Jones Variety show . Love you Jayyy ,and your reactions are the best , good vibes blessings and love from SC .🙏🤗❤️
This is from Toms TV show bak in the late 60s. He was a fan of black soul singers and he had all the top artists of the day on his shows . Little Richard ,Wilson Pickett . and lots of others . They are all on You Tube Go check them out . He always had respect for his fellow artists . He loved singing with them . He never got the chance with Elvis cos Elvis manager would not allow any other artist to sing with Elvis . Elvis and Tom were great friends .
I love “A Place in the Sun” Stevie Wonder had a hit with this one in 1966! I actually like his version a lot. Maybe you could react to it sometime. Stevie also did a song or two with Paul McCartney. This was great. 🌺✌️
Sub 5 minutes of perfection captured and preserved 😊 Hey girl bd sure to check out Tom with Wilson Pickett, check out Tom & Little Richard among dozens like it from this period! 😊
Two MEGA VOICES sounding so angelic together!!!
In a time of riots, persons like Stevie helped break alot of things going on back. I've got alot of his music. I absolutely adore him.

Jayy, if you've never heard Stevie's original recording of Uptight, you really should, they changed it up quite a lot in this medley!
