I saw LIVE preform as an opening act for Bon Jovi in Ireland a couple of years ago. Was the 1st time I heard them and WOW they were amazing. Really got the crowd going. Amazing!!!
MTV Unplugged and VH1 Storytellers both yielded a fantastic archive of music - but sadly, much of it doesn't seem to be available on RUclips. Both were favorite archives of music for me. They included some great bands, pared down to the basics. Every band, no matter what style they were, was appealing to a broad range of fans. I hope these broadcasts will return!
My wife heard this song shortly before giving birth to our daughter...it frightened her very much...I dont think she fully understood the meaning but I can see how it might scare an expectant mother about to give birth
Ed has an amazing voice- aside from the album version this is the best version i have ever heard of this song- Im having a nostalgic day and this song has been the cherry on the cake!
A long time ago when they 1st did the "mtv unplugged", Ed K. admitted that he was a bit leery of the whole "unplugged" setup. He never envisioned them selves as an acoustic-type band. It's nice to see that after all these years that they developed a kickin' "unplugged" sound.
I think it doesn't solely refer to death. I think it actually talks about ones death brings another's life. Kind of like if one man' success causes another man's failure. But this is a true story on top all this metaphoric symbolism. The song writer is the only one that knows what the true meaning of this song is.
Does anybody know about a recording they made in Australia, I guess the cd is called The Accoustic Sessions (it has 6 songs) Could anyone confirm that, tnks!
Why does that bother you...it happens, it's the imagery that the song creates that give it meaning, in this case I saw a young mother giving birth before the doctor could get to her.
No. This is the band "Live" & their album is called "Throwing Copper". Look things up before you start trying to sound clever man. Incredible song/band. Peace x.
Live is a great band of 90`s . I`m 32 now and remerber wen I bought this album in 94 when I was 19 .LIVE RULES
Have been a fan for a long time..... They're Fantastic...!!
Damn, this is a nice version on Lightning Crashes! So beautiful, especially with the piano. Definitely my favorite version.

They're incredible. I saw them performing live and they played so flawlessly, it sounded like I was listening to a CD.
I love the song. It's the bomb and that was an awesome version of it.

they gave a few of these details at a show several years ago. so it's pretty accurate. this version is incredible!
Great video, great song
Great song. Love you live.
Yes, it´s that one. I have to get hold of it. I love the versions they made on those five songs in that cd. Thanks for the info!!!

Btw, this is about a friend of theirs that died because of a drunk driver. She donated her organs and saved a 10 month old baby.

love them
You gotta love it when the dong dips....there's nothing better than a dipping dong....I'm sorry but that's one of the funniest typos I've encountered.
I caught these guys yesterday with blues traveler and collective soul, they fuckin rocked.

I love how he's singing in falsetto. Rare for him. Great sound though.
BEST band live ;d
brilliant band love it uve got good taste if you like this :)
How on earth could anybody dislike, let alone 23 people!
This song makes me cry. I love Ed's singing in this track. Makes me want to make lots of lovely love to him :o)
It's more than that, it's one life being given up and a new one beginning. "The confusion that was hers now belongs to the baby down the hall."
This song is theme of my first love.
❤❤🍀🙏
Hey guys hope you enjoy my acoustic version of this song!
the mtv unplugedd version ist the best one..
but this is the greatest song in the world
yeah "live"..... as a metal guy i love Live...
its about ppl dying in this one an old lady, hence the reference to docter, an old mother dies, angels, and lightning crashing is a reference to death
If you were laughing at me i was telling the kid before me that the band name is live
Can't wait to see these guy at the end of summer hummer
C.L.A.S.S.I.C!!!!!!!!!!
that's what it's about, but the background of the song lies in the comment above.
LMAO! Awesome...

Live rule!
great f'n voice
I have been looking for an online version of them doing MTV Unplugged. Anybody know where I can find it? Awesome, awesome band. m@
beautiful tune, great lyrics, sweet vocals, does anyone know the story behind the song?
this was a poem of barbra lewis who died in 1993
Ed wrote this and dedicated it to Ms. Lewis in the liner notes.
idol
Apparently, some people think this song is by Pearl Jam.
ruuuuleeeeeees
With Ed back, hopefully the next album these guys record will be as good as TC or MJ.
This was already my favorite song but i like to watch the video......whered you get his?
I just got back from seeing them live and they didn't play this song. Shiiiiiiiit.
Hmmm, good question! not much call for a band from York Pennsylvania in the UK I guess.
Does anybody know about a recording they made in Australia, I guess the cd is called The Accoustic Sessions (it has 6 songs) Could anyone confirm that, tnks!
This song has to be about about reincarnation. Fits so perfectly.
love the song. and they are sponsored by a sunglass company?
where you from, bud?
great version of this song, but what's with the bono glasses?
Why does that bother you...it happens, it's the imagery that the song creates that give it meaning, in this case I saw a young mother giving birth before the doctor could get to her.
Anyone knows the name of this concert?
what is that keyboard???!!
é o cazé cantando?
No. This is the band "Live" & their album is called "Throwing Copper".
Look things up before you start trying to sound clever man.
Incredible song/band.
Peace x.
center of the earth again?
why does that part bother you?
as if that voice comes out that face
Remy Zero is more underrated man.
ever heard of tuning down the guitar? and looks like he is using nickle strings.
how bout chris shinn...but chris is good ed is the best :D
that's kewl but...Live...is NOT a British band...they are from York, Pennsylvania..in the U.S. They are Americans.
This is a bad version off this song, but still LIVE rock!!
