I heard this song prior to 9-11 and when I heard it again, after that tragic day, my son and I knew that song was written just for that day, unbeknownst to Live. Horrific day and days after, I will never forget. Rest in peace to all those who perished, all those who came to the rescue and those who have since passed away. The first use of it for 9-11 was not initially authorized by the band, in fact they had no knowledge of it till they saw the video on one of the video channels immediately following 9-11. The original comment is actually not true. This song WAS written prior to 9-11 - it wasn't Live's idea to make it the "theme" for 9-11... someone else did it for them. They had to scramble to get the new video re-shot, using 9-11 footage. Plus they performed it live on one of the late night shows. Their album that this song is on (V) was released on 9-18-11.
