Cool comparison and I love your enthusiasm! The GT3 is my dream car but I own a GR Yaris! In fact I sold my Lancia Delta Integrale Evo 2 to buy one. The Yaris is even more fun to drive than the grale and a nailed on future classic.
You should really consider putting two hands on the wheel when driving fast. This one handed on, off the steering wheel approach, is very dangerous and will lead to a big crash. Great review though and a lovely summary of the two different cars.
Toyota get a lot of flack for not building EVs quick enough, but we should be thankful that they are building cars like this! Also, go and find a video of the 2022 WRC version of this - the anti-lag sounds like a machine gun being fired! P.S you're doing great 👍
Here in Greece GR Yaris starts from 43.000 euro...but this is the reason...you pay more for less...you pay for this simplicity without digital screens, in front of the steering weel...that reminds the 90s and also for that driving experience!!!
Great review BUT, 19.45 "Toyota would probably sell a lot more of them"????? I believe the order books are closed, only ones available are what the dealers currently have, whole lot sold! That's unless they've decided to produce another batch which they should really, a "halo" car and good for business!
They’re still available on their website, so maybe they’re going to sweat that tooling a bit more. Limited edition often means we think we might be able to sell this many, not that we will only sell this many. Remember the limited Ed. Clio Williams? Then there was the Clio Williams 2…
@@ZaZa-ra GR for B road fun at legal limits. I live near Dartmoor where this little car is epic and safe fun. It feels uncatcsble in the wet bumpy roads. And I feel like a rally driver - which I am not! The 991 is more about the whole machine, flat 6 and engineering finesse. It’s grunt is fabulous and every inch of car feels cohesive. I never go high speeds because of my license, but know the car has far more capability for high speed corners than I can safely manage. I no longer do track days, but would take the Porsche if I did. I feel very fortunate but both cars paid in full and I come from a humble working class background. Both are keepers in the autumn of the ICE. I don’t actually think I will lose much value. Porsche service and bills are large tho. The GR is very cheap to service and Toyota 5 year warranty un matched for such a specialist car. Thanks for asking.
My mate just bought a brand new GT3 (Actually he bought two. One manual and one Granny Tranny). I own a GR Yaris (Rallye edition they call them here in Australia). He picks one of his GT3's up next week. I'll let you know what I think of the comparison
Loads of cars use sound augmentation now. Some better than others. This is one of the ones that works. See the old Peugeot 308 GTI for an example that doesn’t. Sounds like a wasp trapped in a snare drum. 😬😄 Mark.
When I watch a Chris Harris review, I have to remind myself that he is a very good driver with vast experience of racing, drifting etc. and that I can’t really take his word for anything. Oh, and he’s always driving £100k cars without a second thought, and smearing thousands of pounds of cup sport rubber over his favourite miniature test track. Surely he gets his tyres for free? Out of touch? You decide. Now Mark on the other hand is much more down to earth kind of guy (accepting the peacock hair and tats) and has a much more relatable perspective when it comes to motors. All of which is to say Mark should really be on Top Gear instead of Chris. It’s only a matter of time.
@@JasonISF yes, I am. Perhaps I should have added that my opinion is not based in its driving prowess but mostly on aesthetics terms, which is completely subjective. I would not feel special sitting on a car which looks so ordinary, if not ugly, to my eyes.
@@Verbindungs I do have to admit the Yaris looks a bit like an insect, compared to my BRZ, but something lightweight, turbo and AWD is always a magic combination and I can't wait to drive one.

Nice! That’s some trade 🔥🤘🏻
That was a fantastic review!! Honestly exceptional quality. Keep up the good work!
Never seen this channel, but this guy is good…..enjoyed that review. Witty fella, isn’t he. You def are deserving of more followers. 💪🏽

Gr8 and fun video! I own a GR Yaris, here in Sydney, Australia, and best value for money, ever !
The BEST GR review on RUclips. 👍🏻
Thanks mate 😊 Mark.

I’m almost tempted to get a GRrrrrrYaris in a Porsche like blue colour - de-badged of course - to use for my shopping trips😊
Best gt3 and yaris video!! Congratulations
Always a pleasure, your reviews.
I have a GR and a 991 C2. They are both very different cars for very different roads. Fast A road? 991 supreme. Bumpy wet B road? GR king.
Thant's some garage mate. Nice! Mark.
Any preference? Which is more fun? Which is more engaging?

you still alive ?
@@ZaZa-ra GT3 is a brilliant car but on wet mountain roads? Give me the Yaris every single day of the week. The GT3 cannot keep up.
Rear seats in 911 aren’t a waste i have my 2 kids in the back all the time

Fantastic review on 2 epic cars.
You has me laughing saying Mini is a quality car, reliability is all round rubbish and the ride quality is worse than the GR. I had one , never again.
Yeah the ride quality probably is worse. 😁
pretty awesome review
TOYOTA 😎👍🏻
Just letting you know that the noise you love in it is fake and piped in from the speakers

Can’t get past the terrible Mullet
Do you know what a mullet is?

Whatever the driving magic the Yaris may possess, it will never make my pulse race as a GR86 or a MX5.
