I watch to see what's new in Hawaii and how much has changed since I moved away. When I was younger, I said I would not move back. Now that I'm older, I'm having second thoughts - plus my parents are aging too. Ka'kaako is our vibe if we ever move back.

Yeah, grew up in Hawaii and left for college after high school, lived Northern/Southern Cal, spent little time East Coast, visited several states, but you really appreciate the food, culture, people, beauty of the island and aloha spirit after you leave. Hawaii no ka oi, man. Gonna try make it home eventually.

I love Birch St. I used to test ride bikes on that street from the Bike Shop on King St and I went to McKinley high so that’s my hood! It’s quiet, random, old school Hawaiian vibe and yes with single family homes. It’s under the radar so to speak. I would buy property on Birch St in a heartbeat!

No lie, I'm one of those watchers who grew up in Hawaii and watches your channel religiously. As for okazuya, I bleed Masa and Joyce but the shoyu hotdog from Fukuya looks legit.

I watch to think about the times I’ve spent visiting my boyfriend and to see other parts of the island since he lives in Makaha and mostly stays on the west side. Also to look at where I might like to live if I moved there and could convince him to rent his place out or sell so we could be a little closer to things.
Mahalo for sharing. Makaha is amazing, for sure. But the distance between Makaha and the things that town has can make lifestyle better or worse, depending on your wants and needs.
@@movingtohawaii he inherited his grandmas condo. His work is mostly on the computer or has so he’s very content to stay put. I’m disabled and cannot drive so I’m more concerned with being able to access transportation. I would prefer to be closer to a bus stop and shops I could ride my scooter to. Maybe we will come to an understanding. I think he enjoys the drive and long bus rides more than I do.
