    Limited to just 1,000 pieces worldwide, this watch commemorates the 30th anniversary of the first highly popular Seiko Landmaster field watch launched in 1993 for adventurers and mountaineers. The graduated blue dial is designed to express the peak of the mountain where the ice blue land and the deeper blue sky meet.
    This new model builds upon the original Landmaster design concept with modernised high performance in any land environment. Following feedback from adventurers, the watch case and bracelet are made from lightweight titanium which is super hard-coated, making it scratch-resistant with a beautiful shine.
    The rotating bezel offers a compass functionality, a signature feature of the original Landmaster series. Powered by the reliable and highly accurate in-house 8L35 calibre movement, for high visibility the indices are coated with three-dimensional Lumibrite and the super hard-coated Sapphire glass eliminates 99% of reflections whilst having a special ‘stay clean’ feature.
    Prospex is a combination of the words ‘Professional’ and ‘Specifications.’ Seiko Prospex timepieces are designed to be practical, reliable and durable; to meet the high standards required in extreme environments for sports lovers and adventure seekers alike.

    First saw this last month online and it immediately grabbed my attention. Im not one for the endless special and limited editions that Seiko churn out but once in a while they make something truly wonderful (in my eyes). So i bought one and it hasn't disappointed. The anti reflective coating is spectacular, showing that amazing dial and indices so vivdly. I just think its a very special watch and so glad i pulled the trigger

    Yep. I like this one. Really nice review. Cracking dial and I’m going through a phase of liking steel (well metal anyway) bezels. I’m going to have to learn how to use a compass bezel… or I’ll wait until I buy one. I wonder what the Seiko quality is like on this one when you have it in your hand. The dial is its standout feature for me.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  6 месяцев назад +1

      The dial can't be faulted and being titanium is another plus , just a shame they went with a compass bezel

    Been waiting to hear what you think and what accuracy you getting. I stopped buying Seikos because accuracy have been all over (I guess I have learned to overlook alignment issues) but wanted to get a review of this watch and 8L movement from a watchmaker (you getting closer). Would also love to see you look at some grand seikos.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  6 месяцев назад

      The 8L movements are normally pretty solid and operate within COSC spec's I've found , The movement itself has two set of shock settings, one for the balance which is normally and one for the escapement which is what Rolex also , I'm not saying its in the same league as them but its a nice touch which even a ETA 2892 or 2424 hasn't got. They can be regulated to run spot on with no problems at all, As for GS I've reviewed a few but they don't like if I say anything negativity about them not F&G but Seiko themself , so I've been asked not to touch them

    I believe the diver extensions on Landmaster's is to wear it over a heavy winter coat sleeve, for example. I recently sold my SBEJ003 Landmaster with the same bracelet type. It's a bit disappointing that it hasn't got drilled lugs. Plenty of cheaper Seiko's do.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  6 месяцев назад

      Thats a fair point and I didn't think of that Dave as for the drilled lugs I agree and like them to but its not considered premium so thats why it doesn't have them

    • @APBCTechnique
      @APBCTechnique 6 месяцев назад +1

      One thing to add is the watch is hand made and hand assembled in the Grand Seiko factory. It’s like getting a Grand Seiko at a top tier Seiko price. I just bought a new one last week for £2000 - I made a deal with Jura watches after buying a Tudor S&G black bay 58

    • @davew8841
      @davew8841 6 месяцев назад +1

      I'd almost talked myself into getting one, and I get where you're coming from...it's something of a premium Seiko. But, those little things missing...the drilled lugs, signed crown, extra diver strap. I don't even feel that SLA models are that special anymore....there's just so many of them now. Maybe I'm getting jaded. Anyway...I bought a used 2018 Shogun instead, and went on a holiday with the change. It comes with all the little things the Landmaster doesn't. How can that be?

    This is just nitpicking on me side, but I can't understand why Seiko stubbornly uses the lume on the counterweight seconds hand, makes absolutely no sense. I'd appreciate a normal lollipop hand much more. A cool watch otherwise, love the dial.

      I don't mind it myself ,I think some of their MM200 models had it on the tip of the hand second, This a pretty cool model all the video doesn't do the dial justify

    Does this have a replaceable crown tube?

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  2 месяца назад

      I not sure if they thread them in or press fit and glue them. if they are press fit you could always remove it and tap a new thread for a different one

    • @8AP1
      @8AP1 2 месяца назад +1

      @@ClickSpringReview The SLA055 and variants have a removeable crown tube. That was released in Dec 21. However other releases don't have them.
      I'd rather not not drill a tube and do a triplock mod if possible.

    • @ClickSpringReview
      @ClickSpringReview  2 месяца назад +1

      I drill Rolex cases every so often its pretty straightforward

    • @8AP1
      @8AP1 2 месяца назад +1

      @@ClickSpringReview I would attempt a press fit tube with a drill press if there was an equivalent tube available. However, I think tapping a thread could get real messy without using some sort of custom jig.
      I guess I'm spoilt with Sinn and Tudor, which have replaceable tubes
