If you fail to save Isobel during the attack on Last Light, you will find Isobel again near the end of Act 2 during the final fight against Ketheric as an "undead" kind of character controlled my Myrkul I think? She will work with Ketheric and is hostile to the player. Ketheric probably attacked Isobel during this fight because the order of "parties" is completely broken (this is not expected to happen).
Ketheric has the ability to dominate minds even without tadpole- if you release dame Aylin too early in the second fight against ketheric she gets mind dominated too. Ketheric essentially makes Isobel into a puppet with no will or desire of her own to force her to stay with him as she won't do it of her own accord. she hates who he's become and is disgusted by him
Hey, just curious what version of the game this is: currently on patch 6 kethric still won’t join combat as long as everyone else is still alive. My theory is that you need every single one of the rune powder barrels but in vanilla 1 is only possible. Would be great to get in touch to recreate this bc I’m trying to test if I can kill kethric before encountering the nightsong. Via strength drain from the shadow lantern

@@The_Siggo He will despawn even if we deal 10k damage to him. It’s scripted. I tested several conditions… just didn’t upload the videos.
@@ElenaBG3 have you tested illithid strength drain + the shadow lantern? Which doesn’t use damage to kill - you can even kill withers with this method
