- An epic legal battle is underway in an apparent attempt to stop the explosive Wendy Williams documentary from airing on TV. The documentary comes on the heels of news that the legendary talk show host was diagnosed with dementia and aphasia. The lawsuit was filed by Williams’ court-appointed legal guardian. Williams’ current whereabouts are known only to the guardian and her care team. However, she is reportedly in communication with her niece, Alex Finnie, and other family members by phone.

Bruce Willis is surrounded by loved ones people that love him she has nobody for real her son wanted to see his mom and everything but he was not able to but that's the best thing for her for real a attorney that's doing the right thing and she didn't care and she was in for the money she wouldn't stop trying to stop that movie sometimes we live our lives in a way that will cause Us in the end consequences she talked about so many people for years and hurt so many people with her words and sometimes it's just what you sow you reap I pray to God that she repent of our sin and receive Jesus as the Lord and savior

I don’t like the idea of attorneys being Wendy’s power of attorney. I’ve never been a fan of Wendy and I’ve always seen her as a mean girl. I still hope that she’s being treated with dignity and respect. I hope a trusted family member can take over her guardianship soon!
I only saw a clip of Wendy interacting with Chyna, but it reminded me very much of my own grandmother who suffered from this hideous disease. If someone approached her about doing this documentary in the condition she’s in, that’s disgusting. I don’t know Wendy Williams, but I know my grandmother was a private person and very proud, and although there should be no shame in having been so unfortunate to develop this disease, she would have been mortified to have anyone outside her family, see her that way.
Yup my father was the same way in that he was easily influenced by others, and ended up selling two cars to an auto dealer and buying a new one before we even knew he was on the long road to dementia.
The niece explained on The View that Wendy had already signed a contract for this docuseries years ago and still agreed to do it because she wanted to tell her own story.

Yea a legal guardian, which is usually a lawyer, would know there's 100% chance that an injunction won't stop it from airing. This feels like a publicity stunt to make sure people tune in to watch.

My mother-in-law is currently suffering from dementia. And it kills me to see her like this. She constantly asks when she's going home, calls us liars when we tell her she is home. Tries to fight us when we help her take a bath. But I believe in my heart, that one day, she'll look back on this and thank us for helping her. But I can't imagine anyone looking down on a lawyer from heaven and saying, "Thank you!"
I don't see a lawyer, I see an opportunist. She needs to be fired and have someone who is looking out for Mrs. Williams best interests, even if it is not family.
My grandmother was like this in her last few years too. Always trying to escape to go “home”. It was really challenging. But her former cognitive self would definitely know what we were doing for her.

I wonder how it happened that with all the family she has the court allowed for a court appointed guardian. There must have been a lot of in fighting regarding her finances and assets that’s the only way I see this making sense. Anytime I hear court appointed guardian I instantly think “I care a lot”.

Thought it was odd to announce to the word that she has this debilitating condition and oh yeah because of said condition she's not the one who announced it. The documentary seems like nothing more than a money grab by whomever her "manager" is or who ok'd it.

According to Wendy's niece/Goddaughter, Wendy made a 3 picture deal with Lifetime. The first doc aired a couple of years ago. This doc's 1st and 2nd parts will complete the deal. I hope that the only person making money off of this is Wendy. At least the money earned can help with her continued care.
The niece stated that she (herself) is getting no compensation for participating in the doc or for the interviews she has been doing lately.

She did not consent to this. Although she initially wanted a doc about her comeback, this is clearly not what she intended. The guardian is right for filing this suit. As a social worker, I am astonished this doc is allowed to air.
If her "guardian" was doing her job, Wendy would not have even been filming. That gors to show the "guardian" is no good. Wendy should be with her son and family!

Anybody who acts as a guardian for someone and ignores the fact that the person has a family and intentionally keeps the family in the dark about what is happening with that individual, and makes decisions that the family disagrees with should definitely have a guardian themselves. No stranger should have this kind of authority over a person's life. Especially a person who may not have the mental capacity to understand what is actually happening to them. This is really sad and I feel so bad for her son.
What is the purpose of putting her life on blast?. I am fine knowing that she is okay. However, I believe that Wendy would want this to air because she loves her fans.

Just looking at the short clips of this "documentary" made me sick. This should not be aired, and a lawsuit for some type of abuse should be filed. I saw bits and pieces of the lifetime documentary this past weekend as my mom was watching it. Man, I feel so awful for her. She’s deteriorating rapidly to nothing. I’m concerned about the people around her. Most seem financially motivated. Her only poor son seems lightyears beyond his age. I feel so bad for him

What wendy needs is love and support. She needs a good friend that will help her thru this. As for this being dementia, I have my reservations about that. Remember folks, life is not easy. Some of us have it harder than one could imagine. I too suffer from edema as she does, and its very painful and debilitating. I pray she finds someone to really care for her, and not do it for other reasons.

Deborah asked some great questions along the same lines. Including who is benefiting from this documentary?
Some very good points and questions to ask. If Wendy is in the right state of mind and aware of what's going on, would she consent to this? I care for her and aware of the negative backlash she's gotten over the years but she's a human being and has faults like many of us do. It's just easier to call someone out you don't know personally but you can still have compassion.
That's her God daughter. She always spoke highly of her family including her niece who is actually a news anchor herself.
I didn't had a good vibe with the family. I've seen the trailer, and something crawled under my skin. Even if Wendy agreed with this project, any sane person with an honest agenda would have put a stop to it.
