What I particularly like about the live version is the bridge part after the solo (with the repeated "Brand New Day" backing vocals). It grooves so much more than the album version. I'm not sure whether it's just because of the guitars being more prominent, but I like it a lot.
Excellent double feature as always, thanks! Dude, 41 seconds in and you were already "broken"... I was worried you wouldn't survive the live version, haha... Really cool collaboration and nice chill song with a sophisticated and elegant touch, perfect to take a breath in the middle of a high energy set. 😁 🤘🦊
💕 ⚡ 🍑 / 🌅 Asu ga mata kuru kara. (Tomorrow will come, after all) - The song was written by two of BABYMETAL's frequent songwriters. The music and arrangement are by MEGMETAL (Wada Megumi). Lyrics are by MK-METAL (Miki Watanabe). The rough mix was sent to the guys at Polyphia, and Tim Henson added guitar tracks. The next time he heard the song was on the completed Metal Galaxy album. : ) After hearing the finished version, he was determined to perform it live with BABYMETAL, and that wish came true five years later at BABYMETAL's FOX_FEST. Scott and Tim mentioned in a recent interview that they had even more fun on this song than during their own set at that festival. It was also the first time they have performed live with a vocalist. I'm looking forward to their future collaborations. There's at least one more coming on a future Polyphia album.
This song was always a Babymetal song with Tim guest writing and recording the guitars so that is why they don't show off as they would if it were a true colab. It was awesome they finally got the chance to perform it together
Excellent double reaction, thanks that was fun. BABYMETAL's collaborations and songs with featured artists or where they are the featured artist all work so well as they are so versatile they can do pretty much whatever style and match up with whoever they are collaborating with. As you know Tim Henson and Scott LePage recorded the guitar tracks for the original recording of the song. They had a rough demo to work with that BABYMETAL sent to them with synthesised vocals and a place-holder guitar track that they replaced with their own. They had no idea what the song would sound like until they heard the album - and they've said it sounds like a Polyphia track with vocals and they really hoped they would get to play it live with BABYMETAL one day. Fox_Fest in Tokyo in May (arranged, hosted and headlined by BABYMETAL) was the first chance they all had to meet up and to finally do this very first live performance with them all together.🎸🦊🎸
You will be getting more.🤩 A Polyphia song with Babymetal as guests; is happening as soon as Polyphia release their next album. As chrisharris said, this isn't the same type of colab like Ratatata, it is written and arranged by Megmetal, with guitar work by Polyphia. It was written in Polyphia's style emphasized by Polyphia themselves but is also Megmetal's sound. A song called 'Stone Cold' he recently wrote for Ayaka Ohashi has a similar vibe. Saying that, it was inspired and influenced by, and contains the guitar work of Tim and Scott, so i think it's ok for people to think of this as a 50/50 colab. It wouldn't make much sense without them on it.
Dear Jon-Metal, if you would have told us you liked Polyphia, one of us would have suggested this song, it came out in 2019, lol, but now that we know, I will let you in on a upcoming collab or feature on the new Polyphia album with BABYMETAL returning the favor for them.
Metal galaxy D1-2 are the best babymetal's show i think. All avenger and both Kami band easter-western show at same time in Road of Resistance clossing day 1 and ijime dame zettai clossing day 2. Sounds great, so much better live . The thing i noticed about people doing when actually joining BabyMetal on stage live is they always have a smile on their faces 😁 they have that effect on people 🤘🏼🦊🤘🏼
Nice reaction! The bass and drums were there to set the tone, but they didn't stand out, because the ones who should stand out in this song are the two guests with their guitars.
This song was released in 2019, but they never found the time to perform this song together, till the Foxfest since it was an example how they can collab with other groups.
Polyphia had nothing to do with writing this song It was sent to them complete where they added their solos. Please save your praise for who deserves it...
Great reaction! Beautiful SU singing and MOA&MOMO Beautiful dancing & Tim Henson and Scott LePage's guitar sounds, amaaaaazing!🎸🦊🎸
Nice one, this is one of my favorite chill songs, ever! Get ready tho, Tim already said they’re working on a new collab with Babymetal 😮!
🤘🦊
Nice reaction.. great collaboration, I love Polyphia's touch in this song, I believe any song made by Babymetal will be gold.

The level of artistic "holy ____" still baffles and amazes me even after 7 years as a fan...

I think Polyphia is inviting BabyMetal to collab on a track on their next album? Maybe? Can't remember where I heard that. But yeah. Moar! 🤘🦊🤘
Yes, I've heard that as well!
Think it was them saying it in an interview 🤔🤘🏼🦊

Weird, I didn't hear the part of the song that explained that.
