    I'm currently choosing between two paths right now, Which is if I should continue being a Concept Artist or start a new journey as a Software Engineer, And I honestly have no idea on which to choose and I've been questioning my answer for about 3 years now. Going through an endless cycle where I don't know which I should become, But the advice that you gave here just came at the right moment. Since I did a leap of faith 2 days ago and tried out being a Software Engineer since it's been on my mind for so long now, And so far its been going great. I don't know if this is the right path for me but whatever happens at least I tried, Thank you for the video man.

      I don't want to rain on your parade man, but be careful with software. It's very saturated and AI is a bit of a threat for entry level positions. I'm not going to tell you not to pursue it, but personally I would try to look into AI proof jobs. I wish you the best of luck on your journey either path you choose. You got this :)

    Been thinking of going back to school as well, saw that several schools here in Sweden have indie game dev educations for adults. Been sort of using blender for quite a long time now (never focused on trying to become good at it, so always felt a bit lacking there) Want to go such an education cause I want to learn programming, could also help pick up some stuff to improve my 3D modelling.

    7:47 "nobody wants to do them" That's quite wrong, nobody wants to be taken advantage of greedy business owners that give you pennies for the work you do. People don't mind working, it just have to be worth it for them do do the work (the majority work to live, very few live to work).

    • @LeKaixen
      @LeKaixen Месяц назад

      I think everyone has something they would rather be doing than work, there are always exceptions as always, but if people weren’t required to work to make ends meet with a system like UBI. I bet we would have a lot of people doing what they really want to do (with the exception of those who genuinely love their job which is rare)

    • @LeKaixen
      @LeKaixen Месяц назад

      I do enjoy your points btw, very well said

    • @SvengelskaBlondie
      @SvengelskaBlondie Месяц назад

      @@LeKaixen UBI sounds lovely on paper, in the end it's one of those things that would end up being much worse than people expect (the average person would end up paying for it, somehow). Would be much better to just let people keep much more of what they earn, it's quite funny how even income tax was meant as a "temporary thing" until politicians discovered they could pretty much get away with it. Here in Sweden, working isn't really that great since the income tax is quite high (people forget employer fee, often making their income tax roughly 50%). Would be better if their incomes where taxes much less, either that or wages increased (allot of worker wages have been stagnant for decades now).

    "The news is always about something negative" That's why Ive long since stopped watching the news, it's become way too much fearpron and fear mongering. Only social media I have is Faceberg and that's only for a few groups that I actively participate in. Used to have Discord, I deleted all of my accounts that I had (had a server, ended up deleting it as well).

  • @SvengelskaBlondie

    You are right about depression and long-term health issues, the latter doesn't really do much to help make the former any better. One of the worst feelings ive experienced is the desire to do/make/experience things but lack the ability (due to health problems) to capitalize on it. Another thing that sucks with that is culture, here in Sweden it's quite common that health problems also lead to loneliness. There's some weird stigma where if you become sick long term, people just give up on you and you find yourself losing pretty much all your friends. One thing that caught me a bit by surprise was when someone close to me was really on the brink of ending their run, glad they didn't. Don't think Id be able to take such a thing very well, might be one of those things that pushes you over the edge.

  • @SvengelskaBlondie
    @SvengelskaBlondie Месяц назад

    She had guy friends cause she was either keeping her options open, already dumped you in her mind and was getting ready to smoothly transition into another relationship. Women do this all the time, she had broken up with you long before you had that talk with her. She probably justified it somehow with her feefees, women are weird like that (cheating is ok for them as long as they can convince themselves about their feelings)..

    3:05 wtf is up with stepdad's being jerks, my stepdad was the same. He was some emotionally stunted manchild. Guessing my mom was really desperate for a walking saxtoy with a wallet, since she decided to marry him. Same story that you had, my stepdad also never showed any appreciation, at least outside of a short time when he took me to a club for shooting airguns (I quite liked that). It was like he was trying to use that to get on my mom's good side, not that she cared that much either.

  • @SvengelskaBlondie

    Id rather be a bit out there than trying to be a carbon copy of everyone else,. At the same time, it's quite funny how sometimes the opposite is true. Allot of people are so desperate to stand out and be special, we have all sorts of weird behaviours come out from that. One of them was the period where pretty much everyone had gluten allergy or pretended to, think we also had a time when everyone had whatever flavour of mental illness that sounded hip and cool to have. Being yourself is fine, trying to be something you aren't isn't that good (especially when taken to the extreme)..

    4:38 There wasn't really something you could do or where expected to do, if grownups need children to help them being grownups then they aren't really fot to have children in the first place. My own family was almost completely destroyed cause my delusional mother thought that my dad should help out more at home, she was a stay at home mom while he worked full time at a local warehouse storage as a forklift truck operator. Things got out of hand, stuff happened and I ended up living with a friend of my fathers for around half a year. Later om my mom remarried to some mentally stunted manchild, pretty sure she only really did it for the money. My stepdad cared a bit at first and then stopped caring entirely, only thing he really cared about was wasting hundreds of dollars per month on horse gambling. One of the most frustrating things was that I was pretty much neglected by both of them, only my real dad showed any desire to motivate me and help me find stuff I liked doing (he helped me get into video games and hockey cards). While my mom helped me slightly, she never encouraged me or supported me in any way. Ironically, the only real support she ever gave me was to get a disability pay so she and her walking *** toy could kick me out of the house (they wanted to move to a smaller house and didn't want me there, the feeling was mutual). I still have lots of regrets, mostly having wasting so much time dealing with the aftermath of my mom's moronic decisions. Could have used that time better if I wasn't busy dealing with health problems and depression.
