Yeah I kinda feel you with a lot of this, my mom died when I was in middle school so a lot this resonated with me. A lot of times I found myself doing things just to “make her proud” even if it’s something I don’t have much an interest in. I think for me personally I just needed to start believing she would’ve wanted me to do what I wanted instead of wanting to try to please her.
