I knew one guy who was running nationals and incredibly slow and would always move off line for the faster drivers He had a guy to race with which is cool but on our small 2 mile track theyd get lapped 4 or 5 times When the leaders would catch them on the straight hed move off line and the leaders would have the entire track blocked the entire straight line
Geez, dangerous driving around you (and choice of cars for the same run group). SLOWER CARS--- NEVER TRY AND GET OUT OF THE WAY. Hold your line and faster traffic will go around you. Much safer if you are predictable on your racing line. Each scary near miss was a slower car trying to get out of the way and causing issues.
Lets take a minute before tearing the volunteer up...THINK FIRST! Guys were so eager to help they would forget to make sure there's nothing coming in after the first car.. .For example some of you would have run out thats great BUT By the looks of it that's an oil fire, What happens to the cars behind the one laying oil down? Hate seeing marshals catch shit.. They aren't paid and without them we would have no motorsports..
@@ConklinMotorsports I appreciate the benefit of the doubt here, but there were some breaks in protocol here. Someone had called in the fire and all stations had the double yellow steady out (all cars slowed, no racing) about 20 seconds before he stopped (5:00). Its possible that Race Control was not approving a response t, but the conditions were not going to get any safer than they already were and the danger was only going to grow as the fire was growing just a few feet from the workers. The manual states "handle the fire first" and that two workers respond with extinguishers if possible. Under no circumstances should the workers hand their fire extinguisher to the driver. If approaching the vehicle was not safe for them it isn't safe for the driver, and handing the driver the FE does not encourage them to get to safety. Where I will cut them some slack is: they're human. These incidents are not expected and it's not uncommon to freeze for your first incident or fire. The first time i worked a corner a Formula Ford came over a crest, made contact with another car, flipped a couple times, landed upside down, and caught fire. I was already running with the FE before I realized what was happening. I arrived at the car and froze for what felt like minutes. Luckily I didn't arrive alone and was snapped out of it in just a few seconds. Everyone except for the car was escaped unscathed.
as someone that knows what there is to know about pushing a machine to it's limit on a track, I can officially certify a few of these corners as absolutely maxed out
how was the guy in 2nd place pulling away from you so easily on the straights? Even when you had better exits out of corners he just pulled away from you like there was a substantial horsepower difference..
WHAT CRASH!!!!!!!!!!!??????????? Track worker DUMBASSES!!! 1. didn't give any flag notice, 2 Didn't have extinguisher ready with pin pulled, 3 driver INTELLIGENTLY pulled over to marshals stand and slid with slicks tires slowly into tire barrier!! Well, at least HE/driver knew what to do and when to do and how to do!!!! (just keyboard observation ) cheers to all good people
Love that four wheel slide just before stopping. The fire started before you passed your buddy, so it didn't stop a great battle until after you'd won.
Totally thought it said VR and I was like "nah this is real". Stayed until the end as it was great racing. Marshalls were useless though, leaving you to figure out how to remove the pin and put out the flames.

0:11 LMAO WHAT
*Blue car at start* "lol well rip me I guess?"
Is this your daily driver?
was it rubber build up ?... the engine didnt sound like it lost power .. but then again i couldn't feel it ..

Slower cqrs hold your line please!
Car didn't seem to like that adjustment you made?
I thought I remembered the back straight going straight under the bridge and down the hill in the early ‘70s.
It did. There was a dip, but as the cars got faster, they teneded to lose grip, so a chicane was added to slow them down a little.

Those engines sound like sport car engines, bad ass.
GREAT DRIVING. THANK YOU FOR POSTING. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS LOCK!
Might help if the car wasn't so dark. Looks like the slow cars have trouble spotting you in the mirrors. Consider a brighter color!?
What track is this?
Virginia international raceway
@@lucianpancea6728 Thank you very much.
Tragedy aside that is the weirdest shifter mechanism I have ever seen
So what caused the fire?
Oh fack.. Hope you that's not dramatic to you and your car
Que putada porque estaba haciendo una carrera brutal
I want VR racing with a reshade that looks like this. Must be out there somewhere.
The fire.marshall stands there them lets the driver put the fire 🔥 out ......tool .
Sweet video game
I've done many 2 wheel bike trackdays at VIR. Must admit the breaking distance is super short WOW ! Top speed looks about the same I wonder ?
The engine sounds like a motorcycle and probably is as I see the rev limit of 12,000rpm. Does it still have the original bike transmission?
Damn u were doing pretty good too crazy how things change
that Mazda completely messed up your race...clueless.
that was one lazy marshall...
Great drive! I hope the car isn't damaged to much...
awesome overtakes!
why crash it, just stop normally lol
Man, the marshal could have been a little more helpful. Great job getting it right up to the stand. Great driving btw
What are you talking about? Marshal's job is not to be helpful 😆

RIP right mirror. what engine is in that? sounds awesome
What caused the fire?
Oil line
@@lucianpancea6728 Was oil on the tire what kept you from stopping the car? Also, if you don't mind, how exactly did the oil line fail?
Oil pressure sensor line broke off caused the fire which rich the brake lines who also caught fire
@@lucianpancea6728 I see, thank you for the responses. It is crazy how some things cause cascading failures like that on vehicles.

Fake - so obviously a racing sim!
How many apex’s can 1 miss? Jesus Glad you made it out of this horrific accident. 😢
4:57 was when the fire started....ran for like another minute! wow
earlier than that. You see the first flame in the mirror at around 4:32
Good driving, sucks that it catch fire.
Was that deliberate to park it by the Marshall stand? Presume it was and great decision making and awareness
Very good driving, but i think they scould make this track more colorful the grass is ro dark there
Can see the first few lick of flames around the 4.32 mark in the right mirror. Great driving and such a shame to have to retire at that point!

Belle remontée mais pas de chance …

dam it wasnt even his fault, I thought it was gonna be a legit crash. His engine blew!
