Crimson skies was by far my favorite flying game ever.

Ace combat has the most potential. It’s MGS with jets. Birds of steel and IL2 were very cool. The Star Wars flying games were fun until they became too lore focused and theatrical. I encourage everyone to pick and play ‘Wing Arms’ on the Sega Saturn. It’s a step back in time.

Crimson Skies was so good, it was one of my favourite games when I was a kid. I loved tinkering with the plane loadouts. But the xbox version does not have it I think. The soundtrack still hits me at random times. Thanks for this video

God i got so many hours on WarThunder, I get the itch and buy a month of premium like 2 or 3 times a year. I wish a new more narrative focused single player/couch co op type ww1-2 era game would release.

Notes for people that got interested in those games: - If you want to play Crimson Skies, play first one on PC and then second one through XEMU or backwards compatibility - Play The Sky Crawlers: Innocent Aces through Dolphin. Wii has shitty video output + slowdowns that wouldn't make this game any justice - DON'T PLAY THE PC PORT OF HEROES OF THE PACIFIC! This port is a downgrade over the Xbox version and if you want to experience this game in it's full glory, then play it through XEMU. - Blazing Angels and Heroes Over Europe (sequel to HoTP) aren't as bad as people claim 'em to be. You can have decent time with those if you're starved to play some arcade flying game. - I can also recommend you to play Birds of Steel (through RPCS3), Wings of Prey (PC port), Dogfight 1942 (PC port), Combat Wings games and Wings of Honour: Battles of the Red Baron.

As a forza motorsport player i think what forza lacks the most it's personality, GT series have a lot of iconic features; t an amazing soundtrack, singleplayer gamemodes, unique tracks, unique cars etc. Dont get me wrong i absolutely love forza (my pfp is from horizon 5) but i feel like Grand Turismo is an overall better and more iconic franchise.

Damage inc. is another decent WW2 flying game. My favourites are jet games, and Project Wingman is dope AF

People always talk about the more sporty or super cars but I was more attracted to the commercial cars like a subaru legacy. They also have like unique cars that no other racing game would have like the Mercedes Benz old tricycle in GT4 or the Schwimmwagen in GT5. Feels more like a celebration of car history and a cafe, though I do wish it had something like project gotham's museum mode. I think that's a really really cool feature.

pretty good review! i really get that "it's within the ballpark of my perfect game but not quite" kind of emotion. i wish it were easier to mix up a bunch of other game's DNA (Pacific Drive, of course, and My Summer Car and The Long Drive, with Voices of the Void as the non-car game glue to tie everything together) but it looks like im actually going to have to learn how to MAKE a game if i want the thing that is so, so tantalizingly crystal clear in my mind to come to fruition

Nice video! I just bought this before the 360 store closed. So far I only played to the train crash scene. I have only just broke it out of storage recently for the reason I just mentioned. I always liked the idea behind the kinect. Some games had pretty smart implementation like Skyrim where it responded to voice commands like fus to dah and others.

I still play with the Kinect. It's the best thing that I bought. Kinect Adventure, Sports 1 & 2 and even Disney Pixar rush. I legit rebought all the games including the system it's self to play them all again.

Honestly A LOT of problems with arcade and even simcade racing games (in terms of limits on customization, limits on damage models, limits on which cars can be included (especially in games involving street racing and/or police pursuits)) could be avoided if the game developers took the Tokyo Xtreme Racer Zero approach, and simply took real cars, debadged them, and put them under aliases (that anyone with a decent knowledge of cars would be able to identify which car is under each alias) so as to avoid licensing issues (for example calling the Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 V-Spec the Type-R34RV). Car customization could thus be expanded to include changing the front and rear ends to tube frame, replacing the cars' bodies with carbon fibre, adding extreme wide body kits that are inspired by real cars but DO NOT exist IRL, etc.. (where if the licensed cars were used, licensing agreements may forbid that). In addition, the damage model could be expanded to be more similar to Grid 2008 or Burnout 3/Revenge, and the car rosters could be made more diverse, particularly if developers were willing to sacrifice a little bit of graphical fidelity to make cars quicker to model and allow for more diverse rosters (using 7th Gen models in an 8th/9th Gen game is more forgivable if you are transparent about it, which Turn 10 SHOULD HAVE BEEN with the new Forza, just as Polyphony was about using 6th Gen car models in the 7th Gen Gran Turismo 5/6).
