I'm gonna be real with you, I played it when I was younger, and even when I was 8 or 9 - I was incredibly bothered by how the environments are in no way realistic (they look goofy, really). Also the flying is not very pleasant, rather heavy to control. Not my favorite! I would understand why some would like it, though. The colors and visual filters do give the game a gritty vibe.
Crimson Skies was so good, it was one of my favourite games when I was a kid. I loved tinkering with the plane loadouts. But the xbox version does not have it I think. The soundtrack still hits me at random times. Thanks for this video
Ace combat has the most potential. It’s MGS with jets. Birds of steel and IL2 were very cool. The Star Wars flying games were fun until they became too lore focused and theatrical. I encourage everyone to pick and play ‘Wing Arms’ on the Sega Saturn. It’s a step back in time.
God i got so many hours on WarThunder, I get the itch and buy a month of premium like 2 or 3 times a year. I wish a new more narrative focused single player/couch co op type ww1-2 era game would release.
Those came out in 2019 and 2020 respectively. There have not been any single player flying games of similar quality release since then! Ace Combat 8 will come out at some point, but how soon? Back in the 2000s, there were many single player flyers being released! Quite the contrast.
@@phlyingphalanges sadly we are in multiplayer/live first mind set. now in days. the dev behind slime rancher had to do GDC talk how to make your complete single player offline game not look dead. fuck the industry. and the people who say complete offline single player games are dead.
I WILL NOT STAND FOR THIS BLAZING ANGELS SLANDER!! That game was dope and it's the reason I love arcade flying games to this day

Damage inc. is another decent WW2 flying game. My favourites are jet games, and Project Wingman is dope AF
Bro keep making videos. Your dry sense of humor is just so entertaining
Thank you, it is what I strive for

your channel is really cool
Thank you!
Don’t mind me, just dropping an engagement to support this quality content.
Knights of the Sky crew, we making sure to manage our blood pressure and blood sugar?
goated, we need more racing game videos with style
Crimson Skies always seemed to me like the world of Tailspin. Where everyone is just SUPER into Planes and use them in replacement of cars, seemingly.
Well, now someone is gonna revive said genre
Crimson Skies is also a really good Tactical board game put out by FASA Games AKA The People that made Battle-tech and Shadowrun
Think you need to expand that date of the last SP flying arcade game by 1 year due to Project Wingman
Chorus was a pretty fun recent flyer, pretty sure it's double a, I guess
Crimson Skies PC was my childhood
God hero’s of the Pacific was my childhood
A person of taste! Same!

What? No love for The Brew Barons?
I did not even know of this game! Looks rather charming. Unfortunately I sold my gaming PC, and only play on console now, so I cannot play it 😞
Ace combat 7 and Project Wingman just came out. The genre isn't dead.

hey man you should get into rc planes
Its on my list, I'm already waist deep into the RC cars hobby...
@@phlyingphalanges real as hell man. I just got into cars after being into planes as a kid
i don't think single player games should be considerd dead.
I don't think so either! Single player flying games, though, have very little titles coming out, hence me saying they are dead (for the most part).

Play Skygunner on PS2
Need for speed is dead because the new ones suck ass
Crimson skies was by far my favorite flying game ever.
