I sometimes keep an external microphone (Zoom H1n) in my backpack for when I do more "spirited" riding. That normally yields zero to little wind noise. And then I mix it up in post with the GoPro audio. Looking forward to seeing where the channel is going with the addition of the Z to the stable.

I couldn't believe how the thing was able to do highway speeds in first gear. These things are something else haha. Looking forward to more 1000cc content bro

Also I do the same going super close to the pump also side note don't listen to the click at the pump as I've found it shorts me over a liter of fuel. Best believe after being on it for a short period I nearly cancelled the trip and turnt back around😂😂 I disliked it that much.

I thought about getting the Z900 or larger bike but I’ll never use all that power. I don’t go to the track so I’ll never be going 150 160 miles an hour. I ended up buying a GSX 8R last week. It has all the power I need and I saved a few bucks.

That was also on my list at one point, i test rode and just didnt like the naked feel, fairings are great at deflecting the wind which i prefer and they look cooler obviously haha. I have a CBR650R and a z1000sx (faired version of what you have, same engine) And as much as the power on the 1000 is great, the 650R puts a bigger smile on my face, maybe its that the power band is at 11500 rpm on the 650, and it's in the middle of the rev range on the 1000, and I couldn't agree with you more about the exhaust sound on the 650, its loads better, mine has a Pipewerx stainless on it, it sounds mint. Hope you are happy with your new purchase bro, ride safe

New bike is decent! Looks amazing. Pops & crackles is probably from the exhaust where it’s just still really hot. My R6 does the same everytime I go out on it 👌🏽

Nice, as someone who had Hornet 600 then went to a FZ1 it felt like a Hornet on roids. The CB1000R was fun too, but realistically it was too much and after having the FZ1 for almost a decade I rarely ever dipped into the power but the thrill was fun, 85MPH in 1st gear..... Probs worth getting a small screen Z1000 look good ironically I've gone down to the vstrom 650 you last reviewed lol
