As someone who has been watching Doctor Who since 1982 or so, I hope the guy who said, "You couldn't pay him to watch Doctor Who," stays true to his word and stops watching. Harkness and Missy are two of the most iconic characters in recent Dr. Who history. Who played in sci-fi shows with plots where plots; where plots where not ideology. This latest season of Dr. Who being touted as? SEASON ONE. As if they never were 13 prior seasons of Dr. Who. Trying to ERASE prior Dr. Who's. To give us what is arguably the WORST DR. WHO EVER. With THE WORST VILLAINS in Dr. Who history. Netflix tried to rewrite history with Cleopatra. BBC + DEIsney trying to rewrite Dr. Who into Dr. Woke. There are far more regular fans of Dr. Who than their ever will be of Woke fans, in terms of numbers. Trade that huge audience who loved Harkness and Missy for that tiny Woke audience demographic. It does not end well for Dr. Woke.

My thoughts on “Disney Doctor Who” The Gender Metacrisis: I will say your argument that talks about the “Binary/Nonbinary” makes sense and I agree. That being said I want to talk about other sections of that part of the video that I DON’T agree with. For starters, Donna did say: “You know nothing. It’s a shame you’re not a woman anymore. ‘Cause she’d have understood. We’ve got all that power, but there is a way to get rid of it. Something a male-presenting Time Lord will never understand. Just let it go.” Why does being a woman have to matter when gaining this “all knowing secret” to getting rid of the time vortex? Why couldn’t it be the fact that they now have unlimited knowledge of the universe? Why would a WOMAN understand but not a man? Honestly all anyone has to do is put two men in place of Donna and Rose and put a woman in place of the Doctor to see that this speech is serious sexist. This does not feel like a friend trying to be funny but rather someone being extremely sexist to someone that literally still contains the memory of when they were a woman! Pronouns: It felt very out of place/agenda driven considering they are in the middle of an alien invasion. I would have appreciated it more if someone misgendered Rose (who has been bullied because of gender) and she just snapped back with something pertaining to how you shouldn’t assume how someone wants to be called (which is ironically what she does by assuming that The Meep minds being called by “male centric” pronouns when up until that point it didn’t look like they cared). Controversy should NEVER be the point when trying to be more inclusive, you should just treat them like you would any character. This brings me to my next point: Shirley Anne Bingham, The Lady in the Wheelchair. The Wheelchair problem: I agree with everything you said about Shirley being resourceful and a badass in her own right that doesn’t need a high tech wheelchair, however the writing is off for her character. I don’t like that she had a dart gun imbedded into her wheelchair instead of a normal gun that she could just quickly fire because it makes her character more “fantastical” than it needs to be (yes it’s a “sci-fi world” but she’s still just an ordinary person working for the government.) I also don’t like the line “don’t make me the problem” in response to the guy apologizing about the stairs because it’s NOT her fault she can’t go up those steps. In my opinion she should have said “there’s no time, just go” because while it’s not fun dealing with places that are not accessible, she is used to this happening. That gives the character much more depth.
