This report came out in 2011 and was based on a figure of 1217 reported cases. The Rotherham Report listed 1400 official victims (at that time of release) over about 20 years, many of whom stated they were often raped by dozens of men on numerous occasions. That's just Rotherham. Then there's Telford, Rochdale, Oxford etc. Do you think these girls are lying? If they're not, then the scale of the problem bears no relation to the number of prosecutions. Those convicted (with very, very few exceptions) appear to fall into the category described by Mr Robinson (and the victims). I had a falling out once with a friend, trying my best to explain a similar situation involving motorbikes. My friend made a public post saying 56% of all motorbike accidents were the fault of car drivers. I didn't agree with this since it seemed a very high % to be waving about. Turned out something like 78% of accidents involved another motorist. Of these 68% were car related and of that we get the 56% my friend was talking about. The numbers here aren't factual and more a rough idea because it was 5-6yrs ago now. But it took me all of 30 seconds to find the actual figures which were posted on a online version of a well known biker mag. In short people hear what they want to.
