Bought an RCA mod monitor and then a QEI monitor. Showing the QEI in action.
What about preamp the 120x has a preamp the 140 doesn’t
Yes correct, the 120 has a built-in preamp. I use a very vintage ATI P-100 as the preamp for the 140. I don't think the 120’s preamp has anything to do with the motor noise. Saying this because the preamp is always on when the turntable power is on (Rotary switch), but the noise occurs only when the motor is on (square button).
Your on aurcaudio is too loud. If youre counter is going that high, that fast, youre too loud. And youre allowed 100% total mod on FM, so if that yellow light is coming on at 105%, and tour little red lights are coming on at the left & right meters, youre seriously overdriving it. Send it to J-Squared and let them go through it so tou know what youre doing!
I have the 140 and I love it. Great for mixing, do not need technics
Hey man, are you going to do another update on the studio? I believe many of us really want to see more of it 😁
Interesanting, Humberto, what you explain about the visual and the musical differences between these two turntables. I havre to buy one of them. Yes, the 120 model is nicer but yes the 140 model is silent. I should have appreciated to listen few seconds with them with the same album. But congratulations for this beautiful presentation. My choice : I really do not know again. The 120 is much more nicer. But we listen the music. Hello from the north (Québec) !
people who complain about behringer are the same people that never actually make any music ....stay over there in your crybaby shed and keeping turning those knobs
He's only got a face for radio, that's why it's blurred out. 🤣 (Of course, I'm joking)
you have a license to broadcast?
All dummy loaded. Not broadcasting.
Logically, the difference of price between the two turntables is in things like the ambiental noise reduction to start to play the machine. To me, personally, It doesn't matter
What to buy today in 2014? 120 or 140?
It's been a long time since I did this review, and a lot may have changed between then and now. Even then the 120 was fine. Probably still is.
Hi i wont start home radio station studio and broadcasting equipments lists place send me
why do you need so many racks for one mic though? i have a chance to pick up the 286s and the 528e both for 160...but i cant see why i would need to use both
Yea, this set up is a little much. There are 4 mics and 6 processors. The Behringer is just there taking up space - nothing connected to it - more like storage. The Presonus is in series with the Symetrix 421 because the Presonus does not have a downward expander/gate and the 421 does. And this set up did not last for long. Later on I set it up with one processor per mic, keeping the ART, two 528s and the 286.
@@humbertowrigolini578 thanks. i just got the 528 and 286. gonna test them now ....hopefully it was worth the 160. currently i just run right into an apollo so this should help
@@beatpax The 528s are great.
Issue seems to be fixed on the 120x version.
Do you still use RadioDJ?
Yes. It's a great tool so far as I can tell.
102.9 fly ride fm 📻
Had one of those QEI 691's years ago, that's a great pickup.
I worked at many stations that did not have half this amount of equipment. great report
What radio automation software do you prefer?
The only automation software I have used is Radio DJ. I picked it because it's free, and it actually works pretty well.
and where's the sound when using neither?
Beware Broadcasters Warehouse is a fake spin off company selling unlicensed products purporting to be Broadcast Warehouse and are scam artists, they were originally Transmitters 'r' us. BROADCAST Warehouse has taken back off again under new ownership, however I haven't been impressed with their customer service since. Was great with Brendan and Andy there before it was taken over.
Wubba wubba. I hear it
Can you listen italo disco on 140? At homme...? I think it would sounds great. Can you compare 140 with Tensai td 760qz? It's from 1979. I think. In the point of sound. Best wishes
Can you tell me please how much is a license for fm am transmitter 25 watts
Don't know.
@humbertowrigolini578 how many watts is yours radio station
@humbertowrigolini578 you owner of radio station ?
@@WorldWideHipHopVideos No watts really, This is just a studio. I have a tx but its into a dummy load at nothing power on the extremely rare occasion it's even on.
@@WorldWideHipHopVideos not a radio station in all reality. just a studio.

AT 140
I posted a video of my Wheatstone! New Console - 1998 Wheatstone A6000 ruclips.net/video/h12kKkFi0cw/видео.html
Cool setup
As someone who used the AT120's to DJ on that 'thud' sound became even mire apparent when back-cueing or spinning the record. You could actually feel it under the platter, it sounded like the motor was overloading and would skip the records all the time
They are both trash
I believe red indicates that it’s gating.
Sorry , couldn't get past the snap, crackle, pop of the dirty or misused records.
On the AT-LP120, there were no improvements made in the last decade. The same problems: none working AS mechanism and motor cogging. AT-LP140 was newly designed, so something very different. Still, for just a third price of AT-LP140, you can find a very decent japanese direct-drive turntable from 80`s and it will not spoil in terms of mechanical parts. You will have to replace some capacitors and that is it!
Nice console. Is there a way to contact you? I've got some questions about my station build and I'd like to run by you?.
I just got one of these. Pretty excited to get it.
Love it. I'd love to build me a studio like this. George from South Carolina
The sound of the Behringer is strange (comb-filtered, no transients, not enough top-end) and to me it sound like one or more settings problems. First check input/output levels, polarity and settings, if that's fine use very little compression and transient-friendly times. Use peak limiter only for 1-2db peak reduction. Killed transients and too fast release are what sucks life out of program material. It's hard to see but it looks like there is very low levels in the upper two bands which would explain part of the dull sound. The cheaper the processor, the more you need to know and the harder to work, which is why people get bad sound out of perfectly find equipment. But Behringer stuff isn't bad in general, they only need a low of knowledge about settings and the manuals are often giving misleading advice.
The DSPX is fine for the hobbyist, its clean but not particularly loud. The Arianes have also been surpassed. I have a TransLanTech Ariane (the original, analog one) and it is a great, transparent stereo matrix leveller. However, broadcasters are either barefooting the audioprocessors or are beginning to use Angry Audio C-Levels if their airchain is still analog. Plants that are modernizing are using Audio over IP (AES67/Dante, etc.) and are doing processing in the digital domain. Those without a big capital budget to buy an Omnia 11 or the Optimod counterpart, are doing all the processing and stereo generation in software with StereoTool or BreakawayOne/Omnia9.
That is a nice board. Well done on sorting the issues and bringing this great hardware back to life.
I love the wooden equipment racks. Nice touch
Red could be two things is clipping and the compressor has to work hard to pull back the sound so it not heard on air our stop playing the music watch the meter if it goes red its a noise gate function
Appreciate the insight - I'll try the stopping music and see what it does.
The Ariane Sequel doesn't clip.
Ok so its not clipping so maybe its a noise gate function
Saw somewhere in your comments section that you took down your 2 antennas you had in the attic ? So I tried to find your old video of your antenna setup and it’s not on here anymore ? Just wondering what antenna’s you are running now with the new BW 600W Transmitter ? I have a BW Broadcast DSPX-HD audio processor I really don’t use anymore it’s a 2014 model. It’s a Great processor just have no use for it since I am running my stream through the Telos ZipStream R1 that has built in 3-Band Omnia Processing which actually sounds pretty good.
Im so happy for you bw broadcast processior you have mulliband compressor and 15khz lpf for fm output you can use mpx out one cable to trasnmitter mpx imput make adjustments and pre emphasis 75 for usa 50 uk and have fun your the same as all commercial station ❤a😊
Do you have the old board from the old videos for sale?
Unfortunately no, not for sale because already given to someone.
Green means the audio in that band is within the set threshold and it’s either actively compressing (applying faint reduction) or red, meaning that the audio level for that given band, has fallen below a set threshold, and the gain change action has been paused or frozen for that moment. This helps to prevent unnecessary gain rush-up in low passages of audio, and helps keep things consistent, without making the processor go nuts trying to always chase the perfect loudness level. It knows when to act, and when to wait. It keeps the AGC and limiter from sounding too busy, also.
That is great intel and makes total sense! Appreciated!
Is that an old radio station board? Looks real cool!
I don't know this board's history, but these models were used in commercial radio stations back in the day.
@@humbertowrigolini578 Yeah it looked like an old radio station board to me. My old friend who's well into his amateur radio stuff (not HAM, but actual music broadcasting) would love this! He had a self made 'On Air' light outside his home studio that triggered when he pressed the button to send audio coming off his live feed to the main bus and everything, although he mostly focused on online radio (and occasionally AM iirc), as broadcasting on FM without a license here is highly illigal. 😉
My station on 1620 am doesn't have such high tech equipment but still is blasting heavy metal .
💪 nice one!
Niiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiice.... love them old boards
Very cool! Thanks for sharing 👍
Amazing! With every new video, I just get amazed how awesome this studio is! Highly functional while being very compact and clean
nice board.
