This is my 2015 Kia soul that was used in western Oklahoma on a mail route. Red dirt and sand. 218,000 miles and I’m going to see how long I can make this last and keep everybody updated with the good the bad and the ugly. Thanks for looking . Cheers
Excelerator turbo mufflers on crown Victoria
Просмотров 2082 года назад
Got given a pair of Excelerator turbo mufflers and had them professionally installed and I also cut the two rear catalytic converter‘s off. No real rumble or drone in the cab at all especially at highway speeds. Would say it’s just a little above stock standard sound but this video makes them sound a lot louder than they really are in person. I hope that helps you make a informed purchase decis...
Crown Victoria Rear catalyst delete only stock standard mufflers
Просмотров 1,5 тыс.2 года назад
This is just the rear converters removed and everything else is all stock. I did not get a great weld on the tops of the pipe so i may need to take it to someone that knows what they are doing. It may have changed the note a bit but not loud thank goodness ( i hate loud vehicle's )i did this to see if i can get a bit better MPG . Thanks for watching , Cheers .

Buick Lucerne passenger seat occupancy sensor location and replacement
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.4 года назад
Quick tutorial on how to replace occupancy sensor for your Buick Lucerne and maybe other GM models. Tools to use our small prying device and patience. I pulled the replacement sensor from a Pull A Part junkyard in Oklahoma City cost about $4 . Was quoted about $1000 to do it in a shop . Took me about 15-20 minutes to do this.

Lose ground
To be honest i just got a used cluster and replaced it .
The one consistent issue i have with park aves and lucernes is the brake rotor thing. It's got to the point i just accept a bit of skake n brake
Yes mind did that

What was the Last Buick with the legendary Buick 3800 V6 series 3 engine? How about the last SuperCharged 3800?
not sure sorry
I just brought a 2006 Lucerne CXL yesterday, its a really nice car, its a gold exterior i think within a beige interior, i wish it was a V8 Northstar but im ok with the V6 3.8L
Very nice . The v6 is a more dependable engine . enjoy the nice car my friend .
Well?
To be honest i just got a used cluster and replaced it .
Well then , put some shrimp on the old Barby
Ahh Mate , no blooming onion?
Know for blown head gaskets..,2007 for sure.. smooth ride though.
Nice Vics mate
Cheers
Your accent is crazy bud like southern Australian mix! I can't stop listening to you! These panther cars are sweet and comfy to drive
Cheers mate
I have a 2009 P71, SAP 3.55’s, rug/bench seat, purchased from the NYS MTA Police with 62k in 2017, still running it today with 148k. The rear noise is the control arm bushings, I PB Blaster mine every six months call it good.
cheers mate
I just saw a video on steering shaft components wearing out and failing. Also, that there is an old recall on this. Are you aware of this and can elaborate? Thanks!
No never had any of those issues . But i am sure all these P71 fleet cars have had all recalls done . Thanks
Lol sounded like shit field
nope
I have a 2009 and it has been amazing since it was new. Still drives perfect. I changed the oil and filter yesterday and put in 5-30 Mobil synthetic! Easy to jack up under the front. I would say the best car ever!
Did you get rid of the lights from the cars, I am an outfitter and looking to buy the lights off of you?
Hi . Ya i have been throwing it away . Is it cv stuff you are after or any type of emergency equipment ? . Cheers
Do they put speed limiter in when selling to public. Does it make any difference with or without one.
No they don’t do anything but just sell them. They sometimes sell them with all the equipment as well. 2005 and on were limited to 138 miles an hour, but anything under had no limit on them.
@@Kiwiv65 thank you
Two towns over from where I live they have two Vics that are still patrolling. They refuse to let them go too.
If I was a cop I think I would still want to drive one . Cheers
Wait are you in the one of the the Vic pages on Facebook I think I seen a post on the “field lice” Vic
Yes i am in a few groups . Cheers
Nice personal fleet. My daily driver since 2003 has been the P71 and I currently have three. Idle hours are so misunderstood. They're to help fleet managers with oil changes and such; they don't add miles to the odometer like some people think they do.
Awesome. Yes, I can’t seem to get enough of them. Lol yes you’re right on the idle hour topic. Take care. Cheers.
@Kiwiv65 you know someone that will rebuild a transmission for $900??? This is a personal friend or a public shop? I heard most transmission shops will charge about 4 thousand for a complete rebuild. I'm very worried about when the trans goes out on mine
@@Kiwiv65I am from Michigan so if they are from Oklahoma I probably wouldn't be able to use them lol but my transmission is okay for now my car is a 2011 with 106k miles and 3500 hours. I really like it but I'm really thinking about trying to get some rust prevention done. Rocker panels are pretty toast other than that it's really just a bit of rust starting to bubble up on the drivers side fender. Also all the driving I'm doing is city driving but I'm only getting around 11mpg like 23?? Holy shit
Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved. Acts 16:31kjv
Field lice
Where are you at and what are you doing with them?
I am in Western Oklahoma
fix that rear fuse box
did you see improvement to mpg?
No not really.
@@Kiwiv65 Regardless, sounds better, I'm considering doing the same for mine. I have an oreo that looks just like yours.
The start and stall issue (on mine) was a dirty throttle body. Use a can of cleaner and you’re good to go. Also, don’t forget about lower and upper intake manifold gasket failure is very common. About $1000 to remedy that at a repair shop.
That makes sense. Thank you for the tip.
Mine the same color crank no start gets plenty of fuel changd everything cam, crank sensor coil packs icm ,icm harness check engine light stays on won't erase shut off while driving starts back now haven't start in months
this is one of the hardest cars for me to get in and out. my dad has a 2011 and I drive it when we use his car,,, its like sitting in the bathtub...very poor front and rear visibility ... I have the seat all the way back and the B pillars blocks my side vision. I had more comfort in my 2003 Grand marquis...
I have not heard that complaint before, but I guess everybody has their preferences. Yes, the Grand Marquis is one of the best Cars ever built in my opinion so they are very hard to beat. I do agree.
Im 6'4" and 270 plus pounds..my dad is 6 foot and about 180.. It's just too difficult trying to bend over and get down into the driver seat.My dads first Lucerne' was a 09 with the gear shift on the column, That and a bit more room for me to sit in. It was totaled in 2016, it was hit just forward of the drivers side front door and was pushed into the right lane .. His insurance company totaled it. Both front doors were out of line ...and of coarse the "illegal driver * had no license but the car was insured by her boy friend thru State Farm... she never reported the accident . I called an agent friend of mine at State Farm and gave her the whole ball of wax.. My dad looked for a used Lucerne because he didn't want to learn a new car ... LOL...The 2011 had very few miles on it but had that euro style gear shift.. He didn't like that at all...@@Kiwiv65
What causes the heater to quit changed the resistor and blower motor and still doesn't blow . Digital dual climate controls and its a 2009 Buick Lucerne with a 3.9 l engine
Hi. That could be a number of things. I presume you check the fuse. Could be a bad motor, but those climate controls. Specially, if the dual climate controls are really quite a problem child. Could also be a bad ground to the motor or something as simple as a wire broken. You might want to get a voltmeter and see if you’re getting voltage to the motor plug in
Bought a 2006 Lucerne CXL with 203,048 miles on it, inside is super clean, just a different color drivers seat & the right front fender was pulled out as best he could, great rims, looks awesome..start it up & once it heats up the rpm gauge goes wonky, it bucks & stalls or dies, after waiting awhile it starts again, only to do the same thing, the AC blows warm, I haven't juiced it because there's a leak that we detected, the windshield is also broken..we thought it was the fuel pump but a friend of mine has a real gadget you plug into the computer & it's telling us it needs an ignition control module...an ignition coil & intake gaskets with injector O rings..I'm gonna fix these issues & if they don't correct the problem I'm gonna dump it & chalk it up to being a frikin' idiot when it comes to buying used cars...any other suggestions as to why it doesn't perform at all...?
I bet it still has a lot of miles left in it . Enjoy
Color does not mean oil is bad.
Does throttle response feel better? Like more free?
Yes it seems to. Thanks
It’s good tire 🛞 Nokian. I used it. My Volkswagen Jetta GLS 2002. It can handle the desert 🏜 heat of Las Vegas Nevada. And Extremely cold 🥶 and the winter 🥶. Good grip on wet.
Ya they are I like them . Cheers
"Loud cars are for people with smal pee pees" - DEAD. You got a subscribe. Great vid btw this is exactly what I'm looking for.
Thank you . Cheers mate
The stalling is caused by a dirty throttle body. Not enough air can pass through so it stalls.
Thank you
Was this the light with an X on the passenger air bag....mine is on. But nothing in the main dash....
I'm in Canada not sure if we have the same lights or if yours says 'off' but mine has a symbol of a person in a seat with an x
@@xjanexx I can’t honestly remember it’s been so long. I think the light came up in the dash indicating a airbag fault. I put it on a code reader and it read occupancy sensor. Fault. Best advice I can give you is go to a place that will scan your computer for free and they will tell you what the code is or fault is. Holler at me and I’ll try and figure out what it is. Thanks.
No sunroof?
No sunroof. Thank goodness I can’t stand them myself.
Love to have one!
Was thinking of upgrading to one of these i sold my buick lasaber and now i miss my buick i bought a base model impala not near as comfy as the buick
You won’t be disappointed. They are really very good value and smooth as silk. Good luck.
If you've already replaced those mounts you might want to look at your bushings upper and lower and control arm bushings might be worn out
Things I love about our 2008 Lucerne CX: My wife loves it. It's reliable. Things I hate: Oversized "A Pillar" can hide a sequoia. Seats not that comfy. Not a "refined" auto. To me, she's an "average" car; not nearly as fun or accommodating as our old deceased 1995 Park Avenue. BTW, purchased our CX in 2009 for 18K with 26,000 on the clock - and it's still under 80,000 miles.
Don't waste time Turning a Brake Rotor, just buy a Quality one, will last 2 times longer before pulsing. Got 31 Mpg on trips with mine . Owed 2 of them an 06 and 011, both were good cars.
Yes I think you’re right I’ll learnt the hard way. I really do get good mpg for the size of the vehicle.Thank you
had a question about your 2009 crown vic, Did you end up getting better MPG after removiing the rear cats ?
I don’t think it made a lot of difference . I guess maybe 1 mile per gallon at best improvement.
If ur Buick starts and then dies, u have carbon build up, I did a shock treatment and now she starts up right away
Awesome thank you for that info
I ordered one just like this one in "Metallic pea" but it never came in.
Well that sucks mate
Very reliable cars. I had a 3800 with 211k miles when I sold it. Original transmission and floated down the road like a dream. I’m looking a purchasing another one soon. These cars were built near my home here in hamtramck Michigan near Detroit.
What symptomes were you having before you changed this mount?
It had hard Feeling shifts. And you can actually see the engine move quite a bit with the hood up and under a load in drive and reverse .
@@Kiwiv65 Ive been getting at times a longer first shift....the torque strut upper left mount is alot easier to see and replace, maybe that one is in need of replacement
@@skiz72 ya it cheap to do and if they have not been done before I bet they will need it soon anyway
I have a Buick Lucerne and if you don't replace the engine mounts quite often you'll have hardshifts with the transmission and jerky shifts with a transmission
I'm a bit late to comment but... Did any trouble codes come up from this delete? I want to do the same to my 2010 CVPI but don't want any issues with the engine light
No. Had no check engine light on as the O2 sensors are not behind the second converters. Runs very well and have been driving it for about 5000 miles now . Thanks
@@Kiwiv65 thanks!
@@Kiwiv65 Removing the catalysts makes the muffler noisier?
Definitely bought for the leg space I love it tho
Was it nice and quiet? (I agree about loud vehicles and penis size- my old car’s exhaust rotted through and I felt so stupid driving it)
Yes it was still quiet. About the same as it was before I remove them so I really didn’t make any difference. Thank you
@@Kiwiv65 thanks! Maybe I’ll do that to my 2011 some time soon
