Thanks, Don! Haha, getting old sucks! It was a good bite day, but I struggled to land them. It's crazy how quickly they dive for that cover once they get hooked. But I'm glad I did stick around a bit longer to finish the day strong. I went out the other day on the river in the kayak for smallies for 3 hours and only managed 1. So I think my kayak season is over.

@@AmericanCarpAngler yeah my kayak season is definitely over now too, I did get out this week and managed a decent couple of hours landing 5 cookie cutter sized 15 inchers. It was a good way to finish the season and now sadly, the kayaks are under cover for the winter.

Thank you, Malcolm. It's probably never going to be the big sport fishing here in the states that bass is. But more space for me to fish for them. It's more popular than I thought though as I've only just gotten into it within the last 3 years and I have met a few carp anglers here and there on the bank.

Those upper teens are nice too Ralph. Im hoping to get into some big boys and gals as the water temps drop a bit more. Things have been banged up with the warmer than normal water temps. I'm hearing the Salmon run is just now starting to pick up.

Yeah, I believe that too. I've seen some guys from Europe come over here and fish tournaments with just boilies for hook bait and baiting bait and just about get skunked, next to guys fishing pack back and catching fish. Thanks brother

I've got a few sets Philip. I have backups to backups lol. I have a set that came with a rod pod kit. The set I'm using here is some generic set I got from ebay (my beat down set) My good set i hardly use but I love them. Kind of have them in a safe for a rainy day lol. I need to take them out. They're the Rippton Bite Keeper Pro set. Very compact. But I'm sure the Sonik Vardex set will do you well.
