Cool flashback to your first carp since being a kid on the ultralight no less, what an epic battle ! That will definitely get you hooked on their strength and the way they fight and make ya want to target them. And then chaos ensues with a double ! Great day on the river ther buddy.

Love watching your vids mate. The difference between what you do and what we do in the UK are interesting too. Love the new weigh tripod too 👍🏻👍🏻

Awesome Fitzy! That new line came in handy for getting the fish out of the shtuff. The 23rd was my Birthday, I did get to catch 3 over 20 pounds. Thanks for another great video.

Thanks Micahel! I'm pretty happy the new line and think it will be my goto unless I need to really bomb the rig out there. Awesome about the 3 over 20 on your birthday. And Happy Belated Birthday to you!! 🎂 🥳

Good to see you land those fish. I don’t think you land the first 2 on your short rods. I spent too much time fishing too light of tackle when I started chasing carp around also. I have to fish out further, average of around 25 to 30 wraps so 100 to 120 yards so I am using braid. Fun video again thanks.

Thanks Scott and I agree. Those longer rods helped me get those 2 fish to shore. I still may use the braid to 80lb leader option down the road for some other venues I fish, where I need to get out further. Also nice having some different rigging options that work. Thanks

I'm just curious why you have everything so spread out? Why don't you have your weight tripod right next to your landing pad? And why is your tent so far away?

You probably can't tell, but the ground is that even. Lots of humps, dips and slopes. Where the tent is there is a good sized, flat plateau. Where the cradle is, there is a nice flat bowl. Also, because I'm filming these sessions, it's nice not having things in the way of the camera. Also, I like having the option of putting my camera in the tent, for ease of turning on and in case it rains. But the camera needs to be back off a bit to take in the scene.
