Single-core double emulsions made easy!
Single-core double emulsions are great for many different experiments and applications, but their fabrication is challenging and requires complex equipment. Or is it?
In this video-tutorial, we show you how to make well-defined single-core double emulsions in the simplest possible way - using readily available and inexpensive lab equipment following only a few easy steps. Use this method to make double emulsions for any application you can think of. This method is reported in: J. Wang, S. Hahn, E. Amstad, N. Vogel, Tailored Double Emulsions Made Simple. Adv. Mater. 2022, 34, 2107338.

Acoustic Crystallization of Two-dimensional Colloidal Crystals
Old master - new dance! This video shows the Acoustic Crystallization of Two-dimensional Colloids (ACDC) process in action. Using sound waves to set the air/water interface in motion allows annealing interfacial colloidal assemblies into highly ordered crystals. Watch the individual particles dance into their minimum energy position to Beethoven's 5th symphony. Despite the small scale of the in...

I am confused about one thing. If plasmon frequency is same as LSPR frequency in metal nanoparticles, should term omega _LSPR be equal to omega-Plasmon in the equation w_LSPR = sqrt (w_p^2/(1+2Emed)) My confusion is if plasmon resonate with LSPR frequency then why both terms are different? (box around equation in 14:35)

Looking at the trommsdorf effect I thought about latex/natural rubber polymerisation with radicals as an additive to the sulfur, to speed up the reaction but prevent too much exothermic reaction and keep a high enough chain length, without too much exothermic heating. But I don’t get the equations because polymeric systems are so complicated with all the additives and chain extenders that the equations make little sense with most systems.
