I still remembered watching Marina Chin in the SEA games with a black and white TV. She is the most famous sports woman in 70s.
Dear Lat, you were an early inspiration for me in my drawing journey. Your art has provided a unique way for me to experience my heritage. Your ability to tell stories and capture the essence of your memories allowing us to enjoy the nostalgia of your childhood is incredible.
Dah tua bangka tak pandai2 nk tutup kepala ke idah werr..bkn main spokon ayong poteh werrr mace dok ket londong pulok dohhhh

A national treasure. An iconic storyteller.
The famous tailoring street? Saville Row?

Absolutely loved this. Prof Jomo is a figure I look up to. Thank you for capturing his story.
Appreciate very much this sharing of your many successes on as well as off competitions. You might not have said it but your many mentions of your late father means that you acknowledged the big roles he had contributed.
A good Malaysian.Remember her contributions!
How about u, Melvun, starting the ball rolling by employingg OKU in yr used car business. That would rncourage othrrd to look beyond employing OkU workers.
Good one and best wishes from Olympic City, Brisbane
Happy Birthday Silvia
Congratulation for your past glory. The best woman player of all time. I still remember. you did come to Kuching to play a friendly match. In 1977. Wish you the best.❤

Avhive to represent. Unlike you just pick up shuttle COCK
I was just trying to represent English College when I saw you play against our school top player, Hamdan, Najib & Natashah back in 1975. You had won the Commonwealth Games Gold medal and you played so well. Back in 2001, when I represented Malaysia in the SEA Games (not badminton), I met you personally. Your story is an inspiration to sportsman & women. You are truly a Malaysian Legend!
Bro I am that Najib Sharif you mentioned. Remember our teacher Mr Michael So who invited Sylvia and her brothers Roland and Robert to play matches with us? Anyway for your information Hamdan has passed. I am in Mersing and Natashah is in KL all retired but still play badminton.
@@NajibSharif-g4w Hi Najib, I'm Seng Huat;s brother. What a pleasant surprise to hear from you. We must catch up. Will let my brother know.
Few of our Generals can't speak English. Malu lah!
What's wrong with speaking English?
I love the game but lack the talent. I remember you. You were a household name when it came to badminton in the 70s. tq Sylvia!
I am amazed by General Arshad who is so fluent in speaking English. This is what I call he had good education. I believe he had colonial education. Those days he studied in English in Science, Mathematics, Geography, History & etc. Congratulations General Arshad.
Oh my....she's a legend....I grew up watching her playing badminton....Love this❤
Take Care. Thanks
Tq Sylvia for your services to the country. As a fellow Jay Beerian (from Wadi Hana), I've followed your badminton journey all the way to your retirement. You deserve all the plaudits and recognition that have come your way. Your family was well-known in JB for their badminton prowess. Your brother Billy of course stood out, representing Malaysia in the Thomas Cup. I still remember your house with its open air badminton court on Jalan ? (adjacent to Jln Ngee Heng), with its fluorescent lighting, in your night games. Rest well in your golden age Sylvia and tq to the producers of this video. I dare say women's badminton in Malaysia didn't take off until you came along to spearhead it.
As a General a one, two, three or four Star why don't you speak in Bahasa Melayu. Where is your Patriotic Sir?
you didn't achive much unfortunely, not even in asian game not to mention all england.
Better the you Who only good in picking shuttle COCK
Nonsense, she won Gold in Commonwealth game.
Sh wom Gold for Commonwealth game.
@@truthful3777 we don't need this kind of competition champion without china, koren, indo, etc.
@ongtengkee9225 Commonwealth is a big organisation of 56 countries. Even get a gold to compete against 56 countries is very good enough. Why not you compete with China best of 1 45 billion people and get gold for Malaysia?
Thanks for representing Malaysia and may God bless you good health n happiness
What you say about future Malaysia is use your influence to make Malaysia better to live.
True Malaysian legends. Period.
My favorite cartoonist!
I still remember “Lau Beng” was a regular caller who can tease Patrick and make him laugh
Thank you Dato LAT, always enjoy your LAT cartoons... bringing joy & laughter in our daily lives😂😂😂. God bless you always

I’m Singaporean, I guess these gentlemen was our very own Asian Bobby Charlton era… good show !!
Thanks bro Patrick for bringing up Malaysia situations. Keep up the reforms so that everyone will be treated equally in Malaysia.
Didnt he first started in Redifussion Penang?
He can tell one story after another. Feel entertaining listening to him. Gift of the tongue.
The most recognisable voice over the radio and thanks for your companionship during our younger days.

What a great "Tell All "interview. I followed your shows on Blue network back in 1976 when you'd come on Saturday mornings to host playing new songs. Cliff Richard then released "I'm nearly famous" lp. You played much of his songs including Devil Woman, You got to give me all your loving. a hit song from that album. Youd say, dont buy pirate records because they don't sound good. You also played David Bowie "Station to Station" album especially "Golden Years". You spoke very good English back then for a Malaysian Chinese on radio as a DJ. You still do the same today. I remember that year itself, in 1976, you had to leave the radio show and you said, "Every good thing must come to an end". And it was sad you left that show you started well in 1976. I just hope you won't be convicted in November case. Good to hear from you. Take care and stay away from making risky comments. It is Malaysia, unfortunately. We must live by the rules unfortunately. Keep in touch! And stay strong with the grace of God. Cheers!
I be looking for ' Return to Paradise ' , what !
