I think it’s a cop out… having a relationship and a family means sacrifices and I think a lot of the modern girlies don’t want to sacrifice or compromise

A lot going on here, this is what i hear a lot. People want their forever person, very understandable. The thing is, that doesn't just happen over night. You need to learn what it's like to be in a partnership and that sometimes takes sacrifice but it's also enriching. But you can't expect to find that at 35 when you've been single off and on and only into casual relationships. You haven't had the time to develop the skillset. This is why i believe that to develop these long term skills, you need to meet your person when y'all are young, I'm talking high school maybe college at the latest. No baggage ir prior dating history to skew your perception, plus lots of years down the line to develop. Of course people will fight what i say and say, what about abuse. Thats terrible, but it doesn't always happen and it doesn't have to be a guarantee.

How i see is, if you are in your 30s and you been wanting to be in a serious relationship and ut hasnt happened or youre hopping from one relationship to the next then yes start looking within but if you want to be single and you are single then thats called freedom, the freedom of choice, the freedom of autonomy and much more.

Growing up I never particularly wanted kids but I always assumed I would as I got older bc I thought it was a thing I would just start wanting.... now I'm 30, my husband got a vasectomy, I'm on long-term birth control (to stop my periods), and I have a 4 yo fur baby that my mom refuses to acknowledge is her grandson 😂😤🐾 Hilariously none of my siblings want kids either LOL. My 26 yo sister wants to adopt "some day." My 27 yo brother says they're too expensive & his 42 yo gf doesn't particularly want kids either! ❤

I get what you’re saying. But there are millions upon millions of people that are working that don’t get PTO for anything ever. If they’re not working, they don’t get paid. So the sympathy is not overwhelming at this point.

Companies cutting PTO holiday days are going to immediately find that employees aren’t going to want to work those holidays without that added bonus and will instead find companies that will. Also, check your state labor laws. There are a lot of states that require employers to pay time and a half on federal holidays.

Your job is posted before your obituary. People choose jobs based on what works for them. If you need holidays because you have a kid that does not have school on those holidays and daycares are closed, find another place. Employees leave bad companies just like companies let bad employees go.

My children are the best thing that has ever happened to me. They are the best people that i have ever known. Yes being a parent can be difficult at times esp the younger years when you have to do everything for them. I can't imagine being in a world without them. They make life worth living. There is support available for those who are struggling but for those who are selfish pricks get a life, step up, and be a better parent. Think about someone else's well being and get the help you need to be a better parent. There's no excuse.

My work used Covid as an excuse to tell us that Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years would be unpaid holidays that year. A week later a local union chapter sent out flyers inviting us to start a petition to unionize. Shortly after that our work announced that they "found" the money and that we would be able to be paid for those holidays afterall.

I am retired from a county job. A union is essential...corporations are making major profits. I went to college because I knew that was the only way I could get a job with full benefits. Unionize. Do not cross picket lines, support each other.

I don't get holiday pay at my job, benefits, sick pay, or really any benefits. But my job allows me to do my college work while working, which is nice, and my team and bosses are amazing. It covers my bills for now, but this is only temporary. 2 more years and I will have my second bachelor's degree. ✌🏾🤞🏾

My job doesn't give holidays. We work our normal 10-hour shift, 4 days per week, and get 3 days off. If we want to take an additional day off, we have a PTO time bank. Some jobs need to have a minimum staffing level 24/7, like hospitals, police, etc.

Get back to small businesses!! Boycott big box stores if you can
