You should always do a backup of the files on a PC in case it corrupts or you lose access. Your computer might just not be recognizing the right files on the card/assigning it a drive

Yeah a couple of details that make this stand out among the minis! The RG ARC D looks very cool. I have always loved the 6 button controller on my Genesis. I have them on my mini system now

Yep make sure you're using a new SD card, not the one that came with it. Format it to FAT32 is the best option. Then install everything on it

Oh I see now, sorry. That's either an issue with your computer, SD card reader, or the SD card itself. I had to get a new SD card reader, as my old one was not working great. You will have to try searching for multiple methods online on how to retreive files from an SD card that isn't reading on a computer that is asking you to format it. If you can't retrieve the files, it's not a huge deal, as there are other ways to get game files in general, but I can't share how

If you’re like me, it’s probably that fear of the unknown, buying Chinese handhelds, scared to jump on it. I still hadn’t jumped on one yet

​@Metal-Josh in my experience with these, the Miyoo Mini Plus and the Anbernic XX series have been the best quality. Lots of review videos on any you'd be tempted to pickup, so there shouldn't be any surprises. However, the SD cards are unreliable, so at least do a backup and also check out custom firmware. Definitely use PayPal! In case something is wrong. Powkiddy seems to come 3rd with quality, although I've heard Miyoo's hasn't been consistent outside of the original Mini & Mini Plus

@@batpixel the fact that I already own a RG353M that is already very pocketable and runs all the systems that I want, including portmaster. What I like it she even smaller form factor and the overall esthetic.

@@Metal-Josh I am okay with Chinese handhelds and I have had several from different brands. All of them where fine. Form factor is a bog deal to me since I mainly play during my commute. My RG353M from Anbernic fits perfectly in my bag but the RG28XX will fit in my pocket.

It seems like you tried all the things. Is the device not booting up at all with ArkOS installed on a new SD card? @batpixel no it's not booting at all 😮‍💨 I've tried going through all the settings and everything but cant fix the drastics at all! So i followed your tutorial and tried to make another arkos on a new sd card and it shows the arkso logo with the super nintendo controller and then just goes blank!! Dont know what else to do 🤯 lol

@ashleighham6352 it sounds like you know what you're doing so you might just have a dud. You can try testing something out when it goes black screen.. this sounds weird but I experienced it on my Powkiddy RGB30.. when you power it up and the screen goes black, use your phone's flashlight and shine the flashlight at the screen on an angle. If you can see the menu or text slightly, you may be able to navigate to the screen brightness menu and turn up the brightness. If it's completely black with no trace of the menus, then you might be out of luck if none of the software is working

@batpixel that's the thing but, I don't know what I'm doing lol. I bought the powkiddy off a tiktok seller. And he told me he would send me a replacement sd card and he never did! So I've just been trying everything to try an fix it myself, and trying every possibilities that I've seen on RUclips!! But I'm just having no luck!! 😓

Hmm, maybe because your 'bay doors' are open? Notice when I am up high on the ledge in the launch area before that, I use the machine to close the bay doors before I head back

My version is ArkOS 2.0 (09292023) that must be September 29, 2023 so try searching for that. Also try searching for a different version of your partition software

Great to hear from ya! Had some well needed R&R haha this product specifically mentions the IOS mode is for iPhone 15 and above, but the app can scan for the controller via Bluetooth wirelessly, so it should work for devices that support Bluetooth

@@batpixel with it connected Bluetooth, would the usb connector be in the way if you were to cradle let’s say an older iPhone?

It would totally be in the way yep. I'd say this is better for iPhone 15 users and for older iPhones a different product would be better in general

I'd suggest formatting the new card again to FAT32 and try it again. If that doesn't work, and the old cards are not working, I'd say return it for your money back or get it exchanged, as it may be a faulty device

Oh that's weird, are you opening it in RetroArch under the 'RA Game' folder on the main menu?

I used Xbox controllers and a Retro Fighters Brawler 64 controller. I know Bluetooth 8BitDo controllers work. So it should generally work with Bluetooth, but it could be hit or miss. It can be a little tricky getting it to connect but I connected mine just fine. Make sure to set them up in RetroArch. I setup mine as 'Port 2' because the handheld itself is 'Port 1' I just set player 1 as port 2

Yep turn it on/off with the new feature 👍 don't use the registry. I have an updated video I released in January 2024, but will be working on a 1 year update in the coming weeks as well

Try changing the GPU to 6GB, make sure CPU boost is on, turn on turbo mode, put the screen resolution to 720p, try 30 frames per second, and in your online game settings put all the graphic settings to low settings. See if it helps. If not, it might be your connection, so try playing with wired internet in a dock. For the settings.. you could try using the same settings for Cyperpunk on the ASUS ROG Ally, just search what people use for that game

@batpixel yh it's just really odd it's only with online/multiplayer not single player games haha 😆 I was like do I have stick drift but it isn't that as single player stuff plays fine

I usually use 'auto' but some games might work better on a specific setting, like a lot of people try using 6 for more performance intense games. But like you said your games are performing fine in single player, so I wouldn't worry about that too much in this situation

The best way to explain it is in RetroArch controller settings, for N64, usually the C buttons are setup on an Xbox controller by using the right joystick up/down/left/right. So with the Brawler, you essentially setup the C buttons in the same place the right joystick is setup instead. It takes a bit of tinkering, but a game like WWF No Mercy is good to test it out Just make sure to take note of your setup and save the settings Also, I usually setup the brawler in Port 2 and leave the handheld itself as Port 1. You can set Player 1 as Port 2 in the quick menu of WWF No Mercy and then tinker with the controls. It sounds complicated but it's just a matter of getting the buttons right

The system is designed to go 30W while plugged in/docked. It will boost past that temporarily, but you're risking going beyond what it was designed for if you keep it above 30W all the time

Yeah just make sure no extra water is running from your cloth so it doesn't get into any cracks
