The interview that we recorded for participation in a small conference of enthusiasts developing their own models of exoskeletons. In the interview, we talk about ourselves, how we started doing this and about our projects. For the first time in our practice, the interview has been dubbed into English, so no subtitles are needed.

      Where does the time come from? This is a hobby, I find time for it on weekends or after work. It is very difficult to say how much it will cost. Everything greatly depends on the materials used, which require appropriate equipment to work with them. Yes, you can make it armored. But this will be irrational. The complexity and cost will increase so much that it will be more effective to use a light armored vehicle rather than power armor

    You should do more tactical full body plating that can stop 5.56 caliber armor piercing rounds up to 33 caliber rounds and cover lower armored movement areas with soft flexible armor pads. I think the problem with air cylnders without feedback is you have no way to control the distance they move, they just push to full length. Or the air compresses and doesn't move against the load if it's too much, but then explosively moves to full limit if the load is suddenly removed. That could break the wearer quite badly. Hydraulics and servo motors give much better control as they don't compress gas. Even if they are overloaded they won't go out of control if the load is suddently removed.

    • @nomadcontrafact6305
      @nomadcontrafact6305 10 месяцев назад

      Yes, in theory there is such a problem. But it can be solved in several ways. For example, rigid stops are placed directly into the frame, which will prevent the joint from bending further and damaging the operator. Secondly, adjusting the pressure in the cylinders using a receiver, in which the operator sets the required pressure specifically for a given load. Thirdly, the working fluid itself is air, it is compressible, that is, the pressure decreases when entering a wide pneumatic cylinder from a narrow tube. And therefore, there is no hard actuation or stopper; in the initial and final stages of movement, a soft and slightly moving small stroke of the rod in the cylinder is obtained

    Um. I didn't see this the first time because I think I got bored... but this might get REAL INTERESTING if you practice plugging in electronic cords while wearing that METAL HAND AND METAL ARM AND METAL ELBOW! And one more thing... I hope you have plans for strapping on that endoskeleton TIGHTLY to your forearm, bicep, shoulder, back, front, neck, etc. And what's the power source here? Oh yeah. That metal hand needs to be built around a thick leather glove with armor plates for each finger digit, and armor plates for the palm and heel. And can you post another video of you actually punching the hell out of something and breaking it? You know, something that you can't do with your bare hands.

    • @nomadcontrafact6305
      @nomadcontrafact6305 Год назад

      This model was a test sample demonstrating the possibility of creating a heavy exoskeleton. it also worked out options for implementing the control system and ergonomics. Therefore, small and weak drives are installed on it, which are only enough to move the frame itself. At that time, even this model had an exorbitant cost in terms of components, and we simply could not pull more financially. So, alas, high-power tests on it were never planned
