The simplest assistive system for controlling an active exoskeleton. Evolution of Mark-9. [eng_subs]
Evolution of the active ecoskeleton in the process of development.
P.S. If someone does something similar, keep in mind that even a 150-watt motor bends the iron leg of the exoskeleton into a spiral, when it rests on the stopper, and cuts off the fastening bolts. Test on yourself with extreme caution.

Human joints, especially those of an untrained individual, will not withstand such speed. You can remain disabled after such a test.
wow
Would be good to have some acceleration profile, not just full forward and reverse. Look forward to seeing you combine this with the sensing from your prev video.
This makes sense for teleoperating a robot, but for an exoskeleton it is strapped to you, so the movement of your body and the movement if the exoskeleton depend in eachother. How can you change the angle of the join if its strapped to sn exoskeleton frame?
There are large exoskeletons. Such as Mark-3 or Mark-4M, for example. In them, a person is not so rigidly fixed. There are other areas of application.
If you use hall effect sensors and a current regulator circuit it could improve accuracy, or you can adjust the code itself to be less sensitive to change only being changed by bigger actions
Yes, you are right, there are several ways to reduce parasitic noise. I just wanted to show what difficulties there are when using cheap components for such systems
Доведем до ума зкзоскелетон - будет легче убитаться в гараже. :)
The exoskeleton is nice!!
Hi there, looking interesting! Are we far from the tests on a person itself?
Near. In about one video there will be a human test. Maybe a little later. I have a lot of videos with individual shootings. It’s difficult to say exactly how they will be combined into videos.
Just do some squats and get in shape maybe look into performance enhancing drugs you can’t beat human strength to weight ratio and power consumption. Muscles are silent🥷🏼
And that’s true - why do we need cars when you can run to the neighboring city and back. Why do we need cranes on construction sites when you can lift everything by hand? Why do you need running water when you can carry water in buckets home, up the stairs to the 21st floor? Why do you need medications when you can simply not get sick :-)
@@Xone83haha yes, but try fitting a crane or a car in a humanoid. transformer effect, you can have a giant robot that transforms into a semi truck, but you will have both a worse off humanoid robot and a worse off semi truck to allow for both in one. Skip the mobility assistance, make a kick ass motorcycle instead the humanoid exosuit won’t be burdened with actuators and noise only to run at 12mph for 2 hours
@@claytonmcsweeney9499 Here you are completely right. Universal devices always work worse than specialized ones. But such universal things as a Swiss Army knife or a smartphone still exist.
ухаха) Че серьезно Марк 9?
That's right. Mark-9 is the name of a test platform for demonstrating various control systems for active exoskeletons. This video shows 3 control systems on different types of sensors: optical, sound and tensor
I appreciate there is no sensationalism going on here: just a dude putting on/removing a passive exoskeleton.
That's right. This demonstrates that you can do this quite easily yourself. And how fast. His other tests are in other videos on the same channel
What is that laptop doing there
The control system is built on a programmable controller. The firmware for this controller is uploaded via a laptop.
if it off-load on vertical, then it is same as putting load on a sled and pulling it. I remember dragging concrete pole on the ground with rope & timber-knot, I wouldn't need to carry it up on my back.
That's pretty much it. But there is also a nuance. The load on a person shifts his center of gravity upward, which makes it difficult to maintain balance when, for example, a person sways on his back. Therefore, although the frame can support much more weight, you should still not walk with too much load. You may lose your balance and fall.
Hi there. I really like the bonus at the end ;) By the way - what's Your opinion on it being mass produced? Is this design even simple enough to make it cheapely mass produced? (taking in account that it's made aout of titanium that isn't as cheap as steel or aluminum) Keep up the good engingeering work! Best wishes!
Glad you liked it:-) It can be made of steel. For example, the black variation of Mark-8, which was shown in the bonus, is steel. And the variation of Mark-8, which is made of white metal, is titanium. I just wanted to try making it out of titanium - it's a new experience. And it is lighter than steel, and for an exoskeleton, weight is crucial. In principle, if desired, it is possible to organize mass production. Still, this set of metal sticks is much simpler than some car engine, which are easily mass-produced in factories.
you literally built a passive exoskeleton which is amazing strangely mehler made something like that as well but with full a full kit heavy armor rig
This is the fourth part of the video about this exoskeleton. In the second part of the video there is more material on using heavy armor on it. At least the one we had available. Of course, the same shin guards were sorely missing, but alas, we couldn’t get them. However, even here at the end you can see a plate carrier with additional hip armor
@@Xone83 yeah it's pretty cool you should get some steel plates to cover more of the body and steel has better multi hit protection as well which leans more into that walking tank like idea against small arms fire and some rifle rounds.
@@TimothyMark7 The frame itself uses titanium, so I thought about titanium plates. They are lighter than steel. But that would mean I would have to make the armor myself. And the exoskeleton needed to be optimized for regular bulletproof vests.
@@Xone83 yeah I guess you could go with titanium but it's harder to get a hold onto compared to steel that has a bunch of a 6x8 plates you can attach
@@TimothyMark7 Do you mean it's harder to attach to the frame? No, it makes no difference. In any case, everything will be implemented in fabric covers. And it doesn't matter what you put in them - titanium or steel. You can't weld a steel plate to the frame either - this will worsen its properties, and its disassemblability will suffer. And drilling it and attaching it with bolts is also not always possible. Plus, mobility will suffer from this.
I couldn't handle the music
i understand the concept of an exoskeleton but i don't understand what this does exactly is this one that gives you extra power or is it useful until the user gets tired? what benefits does it bring to the wearer?

Another 5 years and Russia will probably have its first powered exoskeleton
Fully support Russia, but there seems no point in this equipment, maybe uploader can explain !!
The weight of the bulletproof vest and the additional load carried falls on the frame, not on the person. Thus, in statics, the weight is not felt at all. And in dynamics, there is no vertical load, and only horizontal, due to the upwardly shifted center of gravity (I am now describing carrying a person on the back). In any case, such a frame will take on the shock loads from jumping ammunition when walking and running and will protect the spine, hip, knee and ankle joints from compression injuries.
Crap-o-matic😂
Most new recruitments today lack bone density! So harder to recruit viable candidates. Seems more reasonable to improve the quality and price of food! 😊
From what i can gather from the video is that exoskeleton is not powered (we have no audio from the skeleton) so it means that the skeleton lifts everything of your body you will notice this by his body armor the exoskeleton is wearing it not him
You are right
The future is here

sometimes, propaganda is outrageously ridiculous... in 2024, russian soldiers lack of tanks, weapons, ammo, bullet proof vest and some try to faking human-ladder... absolutely pathetic....
Why is good? For what
You don't feel the weight of a bulletproof vest, for example. It doesn't put pressure on your shoulders. That doesn't cause those same herniated discs.
So it’s just an unpowered exoskeleton frame? If so, what’s the point?
The weight of the bulletproof vest and the additional load carried falls on the frame, not on the person. Thus, in statics, the weight is not felt at all. And in dynamics, there is no vertical load, and only horizontal, due to the upwardly shifted center of gravity (I am now describing carrying a person on the back). In any case, such a frame will take on the shock loads from jumping ammunition when walking and running and will protect the spine, hip, knee and ankle joints from compression injuries.
@@Xone83 Interesting! And how does this translate for the wearer? Is he able to comfortably walk while carrying heavier equipment? Or would it still be felt in the knees since it’s unpowered? I’ve considered building something like this for my Superhero Armor (see my videos), but i wasn’t sure it would be effective.
@@SuperheroArmorychannel The point is to not feel the weight of heavy equipment. This weight is not felt. This is a vertical load (like gravity - directed from top to bottom), which is taken by the exoskeleton frame. Therefore, if you do not move, then you can hang a ton on yourself (as long as the frame can withstand it), the weight will not be felt. Difficulties will appear when you need to walk with a load. A person's center of gravity is in the lower back. Due to a heavy load, for example a person, the center of gravity shifts upward. That is, the body becomes heavier than the legs, just by the added weight. And when you walk, the body sways. And the higher the center of gravity, and the heavier the load - the greater the load on the muscles of the foot, with which you keep yourself from falling. And they are used to your weight, and not to an additional +100 kg. Which is a very big difference. Also add the lever effect, which occurs due to the difference in the length of the body and legs in relation to the length of the foot. In general, to walk comfortably, it is not recommended to exceed the tolerable weight as a percentage of your body weight, which is 50%. That is, half of your weight is easy. If more, there will be increased stress on the foot.
@@Xone83 Excellent explanation! Thank you. The concept is very simple then and it seems like it would be fairly easy to replicate. Do you know if this particular Russian exoskeleton is a commercially available product or just a demo unit? Another RUclipsr named Mr Teslonian built something very similar to this but more primitive and he incorporated a 12v electric winch as an actuator.
@@SuperheroArmorychannel In the video I’m walking around in this exoskeleton :-) It’s just that now I’m writing not from the account of an English-language channel, but from my personal one. No, this model is not for sale and is a prototype. More precisely, several modifications of the Mark-8 model are presented here. If you look closely, you can see that they are structurally different.
Btw. How about the stalker video series? is it in the postproduction? or still the video capturing ongoing?
At the moment, filming the sequel to the series has been complicated by the fact that the buildings of the "mercenary base" location have been demolished. We decided to make them graphic, got a little carried away, and as a result, we will soon finish developing a game in the "shooter" genre "Area 66" instead of filming the next episode. In this way, viewers will be able to feel like the series' george. Ideally, 3 parts are planned, where you can play for 3 different heroes in different locations of the Zone. Part 1 is almost ready.
Hi there. Nice to see You guys still developing the exoskeleton. But how about any specs? the weight of the exo itself? how much it reduse the load? what is the final mechanism? (i could only see the frame in here?)
And we are glad that our subscribers are still with us:-) This is only the first video about the modifications of the Mark-8. The following ones will show other modifications. They are all made of different materials, there is a steel model, aluminum and titanium, so they weigh differently. But on average 5 kg. The carried weight depends on the operator and is determined by his physical indicators, since the recommended carried weight is 50% of the operator's weight. More is possible, but there will be difficulties in maintaining balance, due to the lever ratio of body length to foot length
Of curse the Russians See that in Call of Duty i dont See Any advantage In this one . Expept the Lader thing 🤣
@@RalfBergmann-y7oIt’s to prevent impact stress injuries (microfractures from carrying too much weight) and fatigue from weight while standing still. The exoskeleton offloads weight from the user.

You can make it more triangular at the back so it could be more bullet proof.
Yes, they could have used better angles to make the bullets ricochet, and made the outer coating out of titanium to withstand shots. But there would not be enough money for this. Even this aluminum coating was bought with money sent by subscribers
I have multiple questions and an idea Where did you get the time to make this (I want to know so I can make one myself) How much did it cost Can you make it bullet proof?
Where does the time come from? This is a hobby, I find time for it on weekends or after work. It is very difficult to say how much it will cost. Everything greatly depends on the materials used, which require appropriate equipment to work with them. Yes, you can make it armored. But this will be irrational. The complexity and cost will increase so much that it will be more effective to use a light armored vehicle rather than power armor
