Yea definitely, it's saves a lot of time getting stuck in rocks and weed.

David, fishing is hard enough at the moment but a pike being caught on deadbait at the moment. Jusk keep going and it will turn for you buddy. The canals are going to be the best to fish at the moment. But if you fined a few nice slacks on the main river, you might find a bigger stamp of a fish.

Its mad how it's changed from a week ago. The river badly need it. If you can find a few slacks on the main river, it can be very productive especially with bigger fish. I'm hoping to try a few tomorrow evening 🤞🏻.

Definitely buddy, I'll take out the deadbait rods tomorrow evening. Try a few slacks for the bigger ones. At least a lot of the weed will be washed away with this flood.

The river is fishing well with deadbaits at the moment a few big fish coming out. 28lb down the road from me yesterday. I may get the rods back out myself.

Ah man I'd love to get over to fish for a musky. I use the whopper plopers for pike in the summer over here. Iv had a few on them. Great lure.

@josephfinn5164 ah great stuff, yea the weight was the hardest part for me to figure out. Tring to find the perfect spot to get the action I wanted. Marlin baits older youtube videos were class. For learning where to put the weight for the perfect action.

0.06 9lb diawa j braid. I find it very good buddy 🎣🎣

@mikeoutdoors22 he says that the rod is 2-6 lbs is casting ok with bigger diameter braid??

@SPINNING_Pro yea it can cast 1gr jigs no problem at all. I use the 9lb as I get a lot of jacks when fishing for perch. But 0.06 is very light especially the j - braid or spider wire is very good as well

@mikeoutdoors22 I ask because I buy from temu a jot braid 0.06 pe and I don't know if it will be ok because many is bigger diameter and it won't cast we'll

@SPINNING_Pro not sure then, I can only tell you what works for me. The 0.06 is fine and on a size 1000 reel.

I only use Shakespeare Segma 12ft rods, they are not expensive around 50 euro or so but very reliable and a reel around 4 or 5000 size is plenty.
