    Thank you so much for these videos. I’m building a similar door - what size springs did you go with??

    • @TheFrugalHugelGardener
      @TheFrugalHugelGardener 9 дней назад

      To determine what size spring I needed, I used a scale. With the door down, I knew what the door weighed in its down position. Once you know that, you know what weight spring you need. I hope this helps.

    I'm fairly new to gardening.. got a few fruit trees that are now a few years old and getting bigger. I am pruning them to keep them short, but thinking if I keep doing so then I'll eventually not get much fruit off having only the old thick branches after pruning each year... Or that i leave it to get bigger and it's too big for a net.. with or without a structure such as this. I'm probably overthinking it, but could use some advice

    Cloned plants are not necessarily organic, and some techniques use extremely toxic chemicals to develop the culture. Nor is the advantage of cloning "knowing the variety" you are getting (this can also be accomplished by dealing with honest, knowledgeable nurseries. The advantage of cloned plants is that the clones will be an exact match of the parent plant, and disease free due the cloning process.

    Wow.. I was trying to find someone who explained the possibilities of cutting the flower and how it can rot. It happened to me once. I had cut the flower like over 2 months after blossom and days after the whole rack had started to rot away from the bottom up. I was mad and confused as hell lol, because I had cut the flower many times before and something like that had never happened, neither have I ever seen it happen. And from then on I vowed to never cut the flower ever again lol.

    I am having a really hard time doing a 235 75 15. I have this same setup with the aluminum centering cone. The top bead was easy to get out but I can’t get lower bead up on the duckbill with the tire irons

    • @TheFrugalHugelGardener
      @TheFrugalHugelGardener Месяц назад

      for the lower bead, you need to make sure that the opposite side of the tire is below the lower rim.

    • @jimkhoury3346
      @jimkhoury3346 Месяц назад

      Also, I forget to mention that I can’t get duckbill inside the tire without the metal bracket hitting. Do I have to readjust the locking screws. Maybe I can send a picture. I would greatly appreciate some help. Also, thank you for your quick response

      @@jimkhoury3346 try to angle it sideways so that it goes inside the tire. if not de[pending on tire size you may need a smaller bar? (( do not use screw drive )) as it will rip the bead.

      Measure the center of the bar and see how much space you have on each side. Your starting point should be half the distance from the center. that would depend on the weight of your door and the springs that you are using.
