when you separate them, just make sure you get the roots with the new plants and make sure you have roots established before you put them in the ground.

I didn't think you'd have to try and grow more. I thought you had to worry about the opposite.
Hi, there are two types of Bamboo (Clumping) AND Running. I have Clumping which does not run or spread, they stay in tight clumps.
Why? I personally want more of bamboo plants on my property. You must not know much about bamboo. We are NOT talking about invasive bamboo running bamboo, but clumping bamboo.

No, there are two types of Bamboo, Clumping and Running. I have Clumping.

@@TheFrugalHugelGardener Because there isn't a water stressed plant anywhere, even in the distant background, it looks like 80% humidity and at least 2 inches of rain in the past month.
bamboos grow in the wild, very drought tolerant, I thouht?
yes but not when first propagating.
