I only fly in simulators but is there a reason you don't use the AT when landing? I know particularly with the PC-12 it has lateral and vertical guidance even with visual approaches any time I have landed it in the simulator the AT handles speeds as I drop flaps. I only have to kick on the reversers when I touch down. Super cool content btw really interesting to see a plane I love to fly in MSFS being flown for real.

28 years of aviation here, corporate, airlines, contract cargo ops plus a few others as well. My 2 cents for what it’s worth, do what gives you the greatest satisfaction..then find the best paying role in that segment of the industry. The most fun in aviation I’ve ever had is right now, and I’m flying a little twin engine turbo-prop…island hopping in a beautiful part of the world. I recently completed a contract flying and training new crews on the 777, and whilst I love the aircraft..the job is meh. Cargo is great, land, set the park brake and you can have a cold beer in your hand in no time. Corporate is fun, lots of variety, different and challenging airports..hopefully with a good boss/principle. Airlines are generally stable and predictable, it’s great if you like a destination where you can have a routine of your favourite things to do…here’s looking at you San Diego ❤ I guess my point is this, everyone is different and we all go through various stages in our lives where we have differing pressures and priorities, as I said at the beginning, do what brings you the greatest satisfaction…and don’t be scared to change, you are perfectly capable of managing your carrier, don’t just rely on a seniority list.

I’ve never flown or flown in a PC12. It looks a really comfy beast. I’ve heard the AC works well, what about the heat? Baked feet and cold hands or is it pretty evenly toasty?

Some areas do not have many LSAs for various reasons. One I just learned about is that some LSAs have a max crosswind of 4 knots. In many areas near mountains or other geographic features, normal conditions are 5-7 knot crosswinds. That is fine in a Cessna or Piper with tricycle gear, but may put a light taildragger into a ground loop.

I would hate to be a corporate pilot. Flying some narcissistic d-bag who thinks he's too good to fly with the poors down to the "Sioux Falls branch" or wherever, so he can tell them in person they're all doing a terrible job, maybe let a couple of them go, and have him back home by lunch. Meh. I'd rather fly cargo planes full of rubber dog sh*t outta Hong Kong.

Thanks for this video. My biggest mistake was quitting my good paying job to pursue flight school

I used to fly GA out of Camarillo, KCMA in the 2,000s. I always used VFR advisories (flight following) around the LA area. It keeps everyone safer. I’m in the Midwest now and have infrequent need over the country here lol.
