Hello, was it necessary to replace the entire engine? Could you just replace the damaged grommet?
@@lmmr74 under warranty and they instruct to replace the whole motor. They do not sell the sensor or grommet separately
Thanks for sharing 👍

Man i would very much like to just pull that flange out in the engine bay and solder that leak with the evaporator in place. 😂 Looks like the pipes are a litle bit too short. I have a leak like this on my Ioniq electric. Do you think a normal handy home mechaniq that works as a refrigerat tech would manage too changed the evaporator?
I wouldn’t see why not, if it’s under 5 years old then Hyundai will do it under warranty
Yeah but you get 2 mpg more than a v8, well, until it blows a head gasket.
😂
just replaced my screen washer pump with a new one on my 2012 mercedes vito and it's still not working any idea? wipers going okay but no pump noise still.
Checked the fuse? Always start by checking the fuse. If that’s okay then need to test for power at the plug when operating. If no power then possibly a broken wire
Thank you sooo much! I am new to working on my own vehicles and you were a great help!
Hi, I fitted new diesel filter on a Ceed, same setup. But when I try crank the engine I just hear the fuel pump noise when I turn the key to start, but the engine won’t crank,. Any ideas?
Double check that you connected everything back up properly
How do you tell if you need a switchable/electronic water pump?
There will be a wire going to it?
@@owensautotipsI was meaning before you strip it but it looks like you might be able to see it in front of the cam cover
Yes next to the cam cover will be a wire with a brown plug

Yukkkk,, dude your Mrs is gonna be pi££Ed you nabbed her favourite toy. 😂
Ands that’s what an egr does to your inlet and throttle body. The one thing you want kept clean in your engine is intake air and yet we throw this shit in there to completely destroy it.
👌
This noise if different to the one In my Hyundai. It's a knocking noise. I'm trying to understand how it happens when it's driven 12986 miles. The noise is here. m.ruclips.net/video/xD35DBvYEUY/видео.html
Had a listen, it’s a pretty similar noise and the main part is that it is when you are regen braking. I would get it to the dealer
It’s going in tomorrow. At 13k it’s worrying this might happen again unless Hyundai have fixed this issue

Thank you. This Chain is so easy to Change. I had made, as i was not ill, the VW 1,4 TSI Chain. No marks on it. You had to Take a clock? In the spark plug hole of the First Zylinder for OT. Some engines had bekome a Chain at 60.000km. but i had liked to doo them. Some needed much more than only the chain. We Always had to Look what VW wanted to Proof or change. Sorry my english is not so good. I hope you can understand what I meen. I don't know the english word for Messuhr
No problem buddy, but yes these chains are easy to do. Same as Hyundai/Kia chains so easy

I realise you don't work at at franchised dealer now - hence why you don't have to use genuine parts. Doing this Kia noted you are not using genuine parts - is there a reason for this - cheaper or are some patent parts as good or better and is there a manufacturer you prefer? Very interesting video, thou also interested why all these parts were replaced as noted only 15plate or has it high mileage.
Being at independent customers get prices on what they ask for. So if they want genuine then we will do that but if they can’t afford it then they tend to go with the cheaper parts
Hey there.. i found your video because im having same issue. What is the name of that part you replacing?
Fuel flap actuator
Hey can you please let me know part number..the place I'm bring it to fix says if I buy it it will be cheaper than them buying it from hyundai. If you bought online what site? Thank you
@harmonyjean4921 if you are ordering parts from hyundai then you have to call them unfortunately
Nice upload....very well explain...keep going the good job! Cheers from Portugal

Haven't watched the whole vid yet. But for the base model, does the whole bumper really need to be brought down first for the radiator grill to be replaced? Tia.
Watch the whole video 😂 the grill is screwed to the bumper so yes needs removing
Hi thanks for your video, do you know why some wing mirror have 6 pins and other 8 pins? i cant figure out, internet doesn't help me, thank you anyway
Some are heated, also can have blind spot warnings built into the glass
Thanks!

He nice vid perfectly clear. What is the torque spec for the waterpump? Does INA make a kit with a waterpump without the moveable shroud? I have trouble with this shroud im thinking of doing the belt +pump but would rather put one in without the shroud. Thanks for the vid.
There is a kit to have a non shroud water pump but I always use dealer for the water pumps
Talk a bit louder please
Sorry buddy was having a problem with my mic in this one
Ooops good old wet belts, what a great invention ,,,,,,,NOT
💪
How many miles were on it? How old was the vehicle? At what intervals do they recommend changing the belt? Could well be your fault
70k, 2017.. Interval is 150,000 or 10 years which is ridiculous. Secondly it was recovered in to my garage like that so 100% not my fault 😂
@@owensautotips never crossed my mind that you were the mechanic and not the owner 😆 think it’s the same interval for my car, got it done at 13 years old and the belt that came off it looked fine, speaks volumes about these wet belts
That engine said bye bye
😂
SO I had never heard of these before Until my son purchased a 1 litre, 3 cylinder , petrol Peugeot He has had it from new it’s done 144,000 miles and I have serviced it all time Never had a cam belt !! 11 years old, Runs perfectly!!! It is slow as fuck lol, And has always used a lot of oil But don’t know why ??? But keeps on going 😂
Had mine changed after 6 years and 28k Was on its last legs £1200 though but peace of mind is priceless
I think that wet belt went dry 😂😂😂
Dont hurt to keep turning it over bend them valve guides 😅
Customer requested a new engine 🤷♂️
Eco BOOOM 😂
💣
Non maintain car problems...
Failed plastic crank casing
Buy a kia!!! My diesel 15 year old 120 k miles and still going.
Only the 1.7crdi are decent
NOPE kia is worse than ford especially their GDI engines
@@joshmanis9860 nothing wrong with the gdi engines. I’m a ex Hyundai tech, only issues I seen with them is lack of maintenance
@@owensautotips so one quart per 1000 miles is normal oil consumption? My 2004 Saturn ion consumed that much and it had 450k on the clock and it left a little cloud of blue smoke when I hit the gas. One recall for premature catalytic converter failure due to excessive cylinder temp? And the fact the 2.0 or 2.4 could just spontaneously seize because they left metal debris in the engine during manufacturing? And you’re telling me they aren’t bad engines? You said it yourself “only the 1.7 crdi are decent”
@@joshmanis9860 oh wait, you’re not from the UK 😂 uk have a lot loss failure
Where do you buy the part from.
Hyundai as they are colour codes
Designers need replacing.
Ya think?
Never buy these.
It’s a massive design floor having a wet belt thought, oil eats belts, having one time use covers as you have to bend the plate to get it off, and the 8/9hr labour time too is just a wtf moment, Ford have changed the service interval on the belts too but never emailed owners to tell them, I’m sure it’s 80k now but I could be wrong
Honda lawnmower engines have been using a wet belt design for 20+ years. With no issues (regarding the belt) I think ford is just using crap belt
Stupid engineering, but clever in the respect that its something else that scares owners back to the dealers to get stung on the cost of replaceement and others to avoid it and punt it on to the next poor unsuspecting owner
It’s a FORD which engineers thought it would be a good idea to submerge a RUBBER belt in oil ,rubber and oil don’t like each other ,but let’s not worry about the poor design let’s worry about the poor bugger that payed good money for this shite design it’s his or her pride and joy on finance paying for something that’s scrap 🙈🇬🇧🇬🇧
It is so so important to put the correct oil in these.
Correct oil and regular maintenance 👌
@@owensautotips yup exactly that they are far from perfect but I still have one and am not too concerned as mine had a new engine for belt failure just before I got it. It's a brilliant little car perfect for the Mrs to do the school run.
@@HA05GER as I say no car is perfect, they all have flaws
Any engine that blocks it own oil pick up pipe with bits of crappy belt long before it is due for a belt change is a joke
@@owensautotipsdefinitely right in this day a age even honda and toyota are starting to cheap out like the Germany car companies 😒
