This is a really good tutorial. Thanks for sharing. Question: I need to change my valve stem seals. Do you think it's possible to get both cams out without removing the timing cover if I start with removing the chain tensioner, then exhaust cam sprocket to create enough slack in the chain to also get the intake cam out? Obviously I would need to tie the chain up to prevent it from jumping a tooth on the crank sprocket. But would it work?

Coolant temp sensor is located on the passenger rear side of eng near fire wall on later models. On earlier models its behind the alternator. On earlier model trailblaizers its behind the alternator and later models like 2007 or 2008 & higher its in the same corner of the eng like on the envoy. I HAVE A VIDEO OUT THERE THAT SHOWS WHERE IT IS & HOW EZY IT IS TO REMOVE & INSTALL.

4:14 Folks. Remove air box & climb into eng bay. Place 15mm socket & 3/8 ratchet over sensor and slowly break it lose. Goes back in the reverse order. Lightly tighten until tight. U really only need to view the sensor from passenger side of eng so u know where it is. Once you cut wire after removing negative battery cable. put your head into eng. You will clearly see the electrical connector & the sensor too. Good luck. Took me 10 min to remove and install. Yes some coolant will come out so have a catch can

To the video maker. Too much time spent on talking about tools. FYI. if your sure the sensor is to be replaced. Simply disconnect black cable from battery. Cut wire and put normal socket over it. No special tool is needed. Ima make a video on this sensor so folks truly SEE & grasp this simple sensor removal but thanks for trying. 4:14

nvm, i see where the pipe im asking about came from. autozone did have it, i just failed to notice that it was indeed the right part i was after. *size may not had been in stock* but they do indeed carry 2 1/8" piping. just must be clampable.

where can i get that pipe 2in ID around that length. bc autozone nor advance seem to have the shit.

1) wear gloves 2) use soapy water to check for leaks. do not get your face close to the exhaust

You can just buy the correct piece of pipe with bolts ready to fit for $10 online saves alot of work 🕵️

This helps a lot just got one of my own and I didn’t realize you could get a better bend by bending in multiple spots so that it doesn’t kink

You could eliminate most of that work by using three overlapping shells. No cutting. See "Instructables - DIY Exhaust Repairs - Beagles" Cannot add a direct link or my post will be deleted.

A hacksaw will take hours to get through the pipe, I recommend the cutter or saw-zaw

I used that technique also for my exhaust..What I did is I am putting high temp silicone gasket maker on the old pipe, then insert the new one..to give a better seal.
