    Im new to the concept of proper layering so this was good to watch. I must admit though, this guys mid layer would be my idea of an outer layer. I am always running hot and just the thought of having a jacket like that coupled with a gore tex outer makes me heat up. Once our weather changes, I’ll be trying out some new combos though.

    Nice to see the thought you put into to desgin. But, one aspect I'd like to see added to your jackets listed specs is how cold are they rated for? The down filled jackets...are they good down to -25c? -30c?? Important to me as a buyer and someone livingt in Canada were there are the odd 1-2 weeks where it has dropped down to that temp range....Canada Goose jackets lists temp ratings....

    Dude, cut this sentimental bullshit, this gore-tex stuff is a clammy junk and nobody sane uses it in the field (except clueless people, for fashion reasons). Just manufacture propper Tweave Durastretch softshells or come up with better fabric like Outdoor research Ascentshell. You literally picked the most overrated gear to advertise.

    Go with a polyester or polypropylene base layer. There are many manufacturers of these products. The mid layers are important use the same materials, or you can use 100 % wool?, it will weigh more but will continue to insulate when wet. Stay away from down if there's a risk of it getting wet, especially in coastal mountains like the Pacific Northwest of the USA or Canada. Once it get wet you have to get into a warm heated tent to dry it out. Goretex works for the most part, but in coastal areas with heavy rainfall 100 % waterproof shells with a poncho that covers your pack and shoulder straps is the only way to keep your gear from being saturated with water and adding alot of additional water weight. You will still become damp from perspiration, but that is better than the alternative.

    It sucks that ARC’ discontinued the "Wolf 🐺 Gray" and Black Riggers Belt and the Suspenders for the totally awesome Drac Pant 😤. Amongst other kick ass LEAF apparel such as and my personal favorite the superior fitting *Naga Hoody (Gen 1). NOT happy to say the least 😡!

  • @deathcheatersguild4266
    @deathcheatersguild4266 5 лет назад

    Unfortunately in the past couple years Arc'teryx have discontinued and messed up some of there iconic 🥇 designs and what I especially liked was the Gore-Tex Shells with ⛷ "Expedition Fit" 🏂 for better mobility 🥋 and more comfortable layering options. Arc'teryx LEAF has also recently discontinued some exceptionally well designed and well-made apparel. I'm highly disappointed 😤 about such amazing outdoor apparel such as: *Theta SVX Jacket and Theta AR Gore-Tex Jacket, *Theta AR Pants > Theta SV Bib, the kick-ass *Drac Pant and the necessary matching Riggers Belt in "Wolf 🐺 Gray", matching Drac Jacket, Bravo Jacket AKA: *Alpha SV Jacket & Vest > Alpha AR Jacket (three different names for the same jacket 🤷🏻‍♂️, now that's stupid and totally confusing). The Combat Jacket & Combat Pant (Gen 2), Minotaur Jacket, and my personal favorite the superior fitting *Naga Hoody (Gen 1). I know my Arc'teryx Gear 🎿 inside and out as I've been wearing the Dead Bird brands apparel for 20 years now. DCG 🏴‍☠️

    Interesting knee pad setting, only problem I see with the design is, that this set up will rip the hell out of the outer cloth layer of your pant, and after 1 to 2 days you'll have a darn hole in the pants at the knee!!,...Not pretty sight!!,.....

    • @berendxd2641
