How to Connect a PC Keyboard to an Arduino?
First up, this video is a gem of a turorial, keep up the great work, short and on point. I've really enjoyed the german accent... like i hear myself talking :) My first "hands on" with FPGAs was a course during my masters at heidelberg university. The content you provided in a condensed manner within 13 minutes was actually multiple lectures there :D Before and after that i've only used various types of microcontrollers and currently thinking on a project requireing precise timing, what e.g. arm-cortex based µc's cannot achieve due to their NVIC architecture. I was thinking about FPGAs to do this precise timing stuff in oder to sample a high frequency periodic signal by delaying the sample start each nth-period to oversample the periodic singnal. With this type of FPGAs (i've got the 20k, because... why not) this can achieved more easily...i guess. Cheer and a happy new year from munich :)
thanks for trying to speak English, but the accent ...
can you install linux on the device and the take out the motherboard and the charging port out the frame and make some good projects like drone with automate flight system etc
it is actually a good starting point to turn a smartphone into a user interface to your own hardware projects, instead if using external keys and LCDs. I will give it a try....
sigh, I really hate this, the 'smart'phone invading everything in life. Please, people, STOP ALREADY!!!! I don't want phone apps taking over everything. Plus, it's a lazy temporary shortcut. really folks, everyone just needs to put the phones down now. Those dang things are ruining life.
And it will be much better than an Rpi.
Wow. Just discovered this and your other videos. Makes me wish I'd gone EE in college. You are having too much fun! Thx for sharing.
can we develop a Robert using this method this like raspberry pi so that why i Really curious and expect reply🤨
Of course you can use this to control a robot.
Kanns sein, dass du Schwabe bist?
Thank you for explaining how start with Tang Nano
Thank you! My pleasure!
What about Tang nano 20k? Can it fit full GIGATRON?
As far as I can see from the specs, it's FPGA has no integrared Flash to store the programs in. So you'd need to connect some external Flash or EEPROM to it to implement the GIGATRON at all.
No offense but you can get "nulled" APP and that has no limitations for free. Thanks for video
Perfect.
ok this is fucking AWESOMEEEE
Could one use a powered USB hub instead of replacing battery?
Sure. See my recent video.
2:06 *Careful with your editing. You got some goofy noises in the background!*

To say the least, welldone!
Xmas 2024, and I'm going through my 3 tier drawer labeled, Misc. Gadgets looking for a USB-V to headphone adapter and notice we have like 5-6 old cell phones in there and I'm thinking there has got to be something I can turn these into....
very cool!!
This idea just crossed my mind just awhile ago. I wish i could still learn implementing this with an idea i wanted to build.
Great project man!
Nice work Volt.. I can't wait to see how to build the better interface on python.
Sorry it took me so long to finish the video. I was was stuck on thick german accent.
Multiple one wire interfaces could be very useful indeed to add a bunch of standalone modules to this setup.
can i do this with an esp 32 devkit v1.0?
Electronic's repair and moding seems like the coolest job. Wish I knew about all this younger.
I’d love to find a video that converts an old android into a Bluetooth transmitter for 3.5mm audio port
Connecting to android phones via wifi or Bluetooth is easier and should give similar functionality?
Do you think it's possible to use the RemoteXY app between an ESP32 and Android/PC? I'd like to graph data from an ESP32 to a PC via USB UART*. Normally I use NiceGUI for any simple PC GUI, but I need performance so I wrote a python application that used one thread for PyQtGraph, and another for the serial handling. Unfortunately, after just a few seconds of graphing the incoming data, it progressively started to slow down, and it was nowhere near real-time. I also wanted to try Flutter/Flet since it can be run on Android and PC, but I couldn't get the hang of the widget and state-management stuff. Perhaps BeeWare or Kivy might keep up better? *The ESP32 outputs continuously at 115kbps, where every 60 ascii bytes, my application must parse , convert to binary and add to the graph. The ESP32 also has wifi, so maybe another option would be to use it as a webserver and transmit via wifi (websockets) to the Android/PC browser? Not sure if this would be faster or suffer from the same lag.
Can you do PWM with setup like this to control servos?
Unfortunately not.
Nice Idea! Thx for sharing.
Nice and clear!
awesome experiment👍🔥
I save all my old phones still use them as media players As well as a screen and battery for OTG raspberry pie use
I needed this when I was building an arduino gauge for my motorcycle. I wanted to Bluetooth data to my phone and tried to write an iPhone app to display it, but I couldn’t figure out how to make them talk once connected.
ขอบคุณมากครับ
Pretty damn smart. well done and well explained too. Bookmarked +1
Can I use old phone into Instrument cluster for my electric bike with my actual digital and analog pins...
First cat filmed by a mouse sensor 🤣 But seriously, with the interpolation, the pictures actually look better than a capture cartridge I had for my Atari ST. I think its resolution was 64x48, but without interpolation or any sort of scaling (on a 320x200 screen), it was hard to recognize anything. It probably didn't help that the screen could only display 16 shades of grey.
I think that having 64 instead of 16 shades of gray makes the difference there.
@@DoctorVolt I think you're right.
I'm American, how can i buy it?
nevermind, i found a supplier
I like the "easy" button. :)
Make things beyond the routine applications and there are many many more ways to use 555. I made a phase sequence indication for three phase supply and its ok. may be making a true sine wave inverter using pwm function is a good idea.
Awesome! I'm looking forward to see your next video!
Ayyy!! Thanks brotha. Thats awwsome.
thank you!
You never cease to amaze me !!
Excelente! Parabéns! Very good!
