Testing the Aerogarden Seed Starting System
I always enjoy doing experiments in my aerogarden, so I was excited to pick up one of these seed starting trays for it! I planted biquinho peppers, Swiss chard, and kale in it earlier this season. Here is a video of how it went! Happy to say that the plants all ended up thriving after transplanting them to soil.
When I transplanted them, as always, I used DYNOMYCO Mycorrhizal inoculant. You can find it at this link: www.dynomyco.com/JACKSPEPPERPATCH
Use code JACKSPEPPERPATCH for 10% off your entire DYNOMYCO order!

    Re: tomato leaf disease; I grow my tomatoes in a similar fashion to you but on a Florida weave system, and one of the best things I have found that you can do to prevent or delay disease is to prune away the lowest leaves about once a week, and thin out any really dense foliage to promote airflow at the same time. Constantly removing old, weak, damaged, diseased, and cluttered leaves really delays total infection. I also remove all dropped foliage from the garden bed to keep disease levels lower in the soil, and I mulch heavily to reduce soil splash-back (which causes disease). I also water at the base of each plant and avoid wetting the leaves as much as possible. I stop pruning away leaves once they get too tall for me to reach, and then I let the plants go completely wild until our Canadian winters kill them before the disease can. I picked up a lot of these tips from working with roses before I started food gardening, as they are also very very prone to leaf disease as well.

    • @jackspepperpatch
      @jackspepperpatch 11 дней назад

      Hey! It could be a few things. Was the top drying off before you used the fertilizer? If not, it might be nutrient burn from using too much. Also, not sure where you got the manure from, but it could be herbicide damage. Another commenter pointed out that if the cows were fed crops treated with herbicide that some of the herbicide can actually pass through them. If that’s the case, it’s probably just a waiting game for the plants to grow out of it.

    Hello. I live in Ukraine, Kiev. I have been growing plants for many years. Including hot peppers. Spider mites attack weakened plants and they love dry air. It is necessary to wet the leaves so as not to create favorable development conditions for the tick. But there is another problem that I encountered this year. The tops of my pepper leaves were twisted and deformed from the humus of vermicompost, which contained herbicides acting on peppers and tomatoes. A cow that ate grass from a field where herbicide treatments were carried out. Even passing through the stomach of a cow, the herbicide retains its properties. Herbicides may be present in soil where mulch has been treated with herbicides. Be careful with this too!

    People who neg on sauce-makers who cook their fermented sauces sing loudly about destroying the beneficial microbes, but, by eating healthily and having other fermented foods such as gherkins or sauerkraut in your diet completely cancels this argument.
