Jack, you can make wine for cooking from chilli pepper. As for me, I am trying out making a fermented soya sauce base out of habanero, but haven't gotten the right flavor profile yet, not flowery and umami enough.
Great update! I’d love to see you pickle some more, but with a more flavourful brine recipe, and then try them with things like pizza, sandwiches, cheese, etc.
I want to try a traditional Biquinho pickling recipe with some of them, but I need to find some cachaca first! It’s a liquor from Brazil. Until now I’ve just used my standard one with white vinegar. On top of pizza would be a delicious way to have them.
@@jackspepperpatch That sounds super interesting, I hope you can find the liquor, I would love to see a cooking/taste test video of the traditional pickling method!
@@jackspepperpatch Aku akan memperbanyak bibit dan menjualnya Jack. Akhir-akhir ini aku juga menambah koleksi benih cabe " hollow's eve, black chupetino, red fire dan ada beberapa lagi Jack !!
Nice first harvest. I looked them up after your last video. Perhaps I'll give them a try next year! Maybe you can make a sauce with them and add some other pepper to spice it up.
I’d recommend them! Thanks for watching. I’ve thrown these in a couple sauces before and they were good! I think I put some in my Louisiana style sauce that’s on my page.
have u noticed plants are limited by pot size? i have 2 bequinhos one in pot one in soil and the latter is much larger as a plant mine also grew rly slowly to begin with
Definitely. They’ll normally only grow up to be about as big as the pot below them is. I’ve got some good examples of this in my “August Pepper Harvest” video.
@jackspepperpatch yea my plants are healthy. They get sunlight drom about 8am to 5pm. Lots of my peppers aint producing. My overwintered peppers especially.
Those peppers are perfect for popping on a skewer and grilling whole.

It seems like it took my ghost pepper plant forever to start flowering. I should try to plant the beginning of next year. I like the way they look.
I bet they do look gnarly! They will probably really take off now that it’s the hotter months.

Maybe add some to a jar of dill pickles I think that would be very pretty.
Hello blogger, is the fruity flavor similar to that of the Aji Charapita? Have you ever grown Aji Charapita?
