I did a report on that lighthouse in the 4th grade. It came from Cape Mendocino. Before it came here that life house saved a keepers family during a major storm before it was moved to shelter cove

Great trip and interesting challenges! Our AWD Transit could do those trails but we would be busy laying down the traction boards and rock stacking. Too much work.

Red 4runner should replace running boards with zero-degree rock sliders. I'm surprised they are not broken yet.

I’m 59 and lived in Vegas my whole life. Those trails have been on my bucket list. This has definitely got me motivated to do it and soon.

I have a great idea - I should start an overlanding channel and film the most common Anza trails like 1000 other youtubers.

The wash board road is worse between Ubahebe Crater and Tea Kettle Junction. Great video! I think I've been to all of the trails except Steel Pass and the Dunes. I guess that's next!

Another great video. I'm planning on doing 7 days in March, starting in Trona Pinnacles, hitting some of these same spots, and ending in Alabama Hills. This was almost like a preview. 😄

We love living in the Sierra's. It's also central to so much more. Travel in any direction for a few hours to enjoy whatever you want. Thanks for sharing the trails with us!

are dogs now okay in that wilderness area? I was there over 20 years ago and we got kicked out because my friend had their dog with them. (Sinkyone Wilderness State Park/Needle rock. we stayed in the barn.)
