what if i cant keep the throtle at the 80% bc my leg shakes ?

maybe I'm weird, but I actually prefer moving the wheel with my hands, as oppose to letting it slide. I find catching it kind of inconsistent, and I still let the wheel move itself, I just am immediately able to pick it back up when I need to turn, as oppose to catching the wheel (which sometimes is turning pretty fast) and then turning it. I use a very old thrustmaster t300, that had multiple owners, but it kind of feels like the ffb can be inconsistent sometimes, so this def helps me a lot. A few more things to note: I use paddle shifters and e brake on the steering wheel binded to a button to drift. I’m also maybe intermediate lvl, I can drift most tracks without crashing multiple times. And lastly I used to use other mods but tried the death wish garage mod pack and the cars there I feel are some of the easiest to drift. (No ffb changes needed on 100%)

quick tip for newcomers sim racing is simulation racing meaning its not the real thing if you want to improve your real life driving skills as a racer then you need a very expensive setup but if you just want to try out something new buy whatever is in your budget and has positive review no need to spend thousands on setups to begin with although i would recomend if you have a big budget get your self a good quality rig to put everything on and dont leave it on desks if want to take it seriously .after all its just a game if its for fun dont spend your entire budget on something that you may regret

I bought g27 years ago, from guy who used only few times, before his kids were born and he had no time for using it. I bought it for very very cheap price in great condition, so if you start and dont have money, you can try to look at second hand market.I mostly played Dirt Rally 2 and it was ok after I set it up.

I have a Thrustmaster TX 458 Ferrari Italia Edition of which the steering wheel has the 9'o'clock and 3'o'clock sides with some high quality rubber which has strong grip and that makes the wheel slightly complicated to slide in the palm. I'm a beginner still so I wonder if this is problematic or I just need to practice more?

I’ve just ordered the kit so I can start racing in 2 more days. I bought the TM T300 for £250 and the Playseat Challenge X for £180 both on sale. I think that’s a good starter pack. Thoughts anyone?

Really disliked my G920 until I calibrated it. Now I see no need to upgrade. Put steering limit to 180 and calibrated 100% brake power right before the brake gets extremely hard to press in. The result is an insanely sensitive driving experience that is full of feedback. I can drive the way I want too (even if its not right)

Hey idk if this is a stupid question but how do i deal with the weight transfer? like i can drift around the corner id say 60-70% of the time but sometimes the car will want to transfer in the other direction and i cant for the life of me figure out how to stop that, help would be appreciated, thanks!

In Australia I feel like the belt drives are still alright. I just paid $470 (AUD) for the Thrustmaster TX Leather which is identical to a T300RS besides the 900 degrees vs 1080.. Moza R5 is like $750 with no clutch, or the Fanatec Bundle is about $640 without a clutch or even a table attachment, the table attachment alone is an extra $50. Once you get the clutch/attachments etc you're pushing almost $300-400 more.. At $470 + $250 I got a SHH Shifter as well and I even have a clutch.. I'll get a DD eventually, but as someone new to the hobby it was a bit scary to jump in looking at $900 or so to get everything + a shifter.

There's one thing I don't get, why it seems to me extreamly easier to drift stock cars like the supra or the RX-7 but I have a lot of struggles with drift cars like the E30 drift or the AE86 drift? I though Drift cars were easier to begin. Can anyone give me some tips? I started playing 3 days ago

It can get quite expensive really quick. few K's later would make me think hum maybe I can build a real car for this amount of money. Maybe some of yall got it like that.

When I countersteer my car keeps going the same direction I was already going it’s just so dumb also my camera is so stiff

My wheel doesn't counter steer like urs does without ur hands. Mine just stays in the position I turn it even with the force feedback.

it's better to build yourself stuff... great video, decided to drop buying comercial solutions because of this video and some others, diy was the call here.

I built mine around 5 years ago and the last 3 days for the life of me i can no longer get it to show up on ets2 it worked fine and still shows up on my pc and i can go into the windows setting and bring up the option to test the box and all the buttons work but in ets2 i have no option for it anymore. And im completed stump so any help would be appropriate
