Pochita represents 'the fear of oblivion'. You could say that the first death a human faces is it's separation from the mother's womb. It is the first time one is required to continuously draw breath in order to survive, to feed, to live as a separate being, and eventually, die. To be severed from the mother is to become mortal. My theory is that the 'chainsaw' doesn't represent some obscure, all-powerful concept higher than all other devils, but rather simply 'reminds' them of what this universe's version of 'separating from god' is. To have been separated from all-life, and gaining a semblance of death by becoming reliant on a human's fear. A violent, bloody affair, much gnashing of teeth, so traumatic they have no memory of what life was like before that event (same as how a baby has no memories of being inside a womb). Pochita induces 'fall-from-heaven' PTSD in devils.

Fun Fact: The reason why there's a sword for the darkness devil is because back in ancient times, the darkness was used to conceal people to kill others who were in the dark. The main weapon they used were bladed weapons, most commonly a sword. Over the ages it's assumed a person in the dark can easily stab anyone. Also just my theory is that Pochita could be the extinction devil; a chainsaw is always used for deforestation, and in return species go extinct. Its not the fear of a chainsaw but what it causes in the grand spectrum for different species

I do like the theory but I think I might have another one what if the chainsaw Devil is for humans but a completely different type of devil for devils bc he got more abilities what if humans see him different to devils. What if to devils he is the devil of forgetfulness bc devils fear being forgotten and I think it happens bc the chainsaw devil just hates devils so much that there fear also makes him stronger . They actually talk about this in the manga and they concluded that its likely chainsaws did a lot more than just cutting down trees but we just dont remember because pochita ate away at himself to save us from his own horrors until only chainsaws remained.

I like the mutilation devil theory. Unlike alought of other weapons, chainsaws can mutilate a person purely by coming in contact with it. Consider also that when a body is severely mutilated, it becomes unrecognizable from what it once was.

I think wobble is beyond’s daughter, it’s obvious if you look at bill’s motivation in protecting the Queen. Even if he did not know there was à succession war he was tasked by beyond to protect Queen oito. Also all the original bodyguards in room 14 are already dead, so if the curse to kill wobble was going to activate it would have already happened. Beyond is protecting his daughter in the middle of this power struggle.

When I saw that devils can die I assumed pooch just evaded death and stack the XP when greater devils get killed & de-leveled then CSM kills other devils he gets that sweet Xp-Boosts. so basically survival accumulating XP & getting luck as others die raises him & on top of it CSM is killing other devils boosting the fear level

my boy terror is my favriote new character introduced and he's my personal pick or who I HOPE wins. i think his dark and dualistic personality is cool and fun to watch he'd irooniclly be a great king even if insanely unhinged.
