I prefer New one because it regulate the high voltage because it happens to me I thought the controller has damaged but it worked correctly with out damage after resetting the panel

Chai, you didn't mention how loud the must inverter can be when the fan kicks in. I bought the must charge controller last month, and that thing is loud. It's a factor to consider if you don't have a separate room for your setup.

Hopefully you can create like a handout or pdf file on solar energy installation

My solar system powers my 6 foot fridge freezer and chest freezer when it is cloudy. I take them off when it is 5:30pm on cloudy days. It depends on the installation and adequate sizing.

I enjoyed your explanation and I concur 100%. However, I think you should make this into a proper RUclips video rather than shorts. For me, I oversized my charge controller which I used to harvest power from 8X350Watts panels and 4 220ah 12V batteries. My inverter is a 3Kva hybrid but I don't use the onboard charge controller. My flooded batteries are 4yrs old and I'm still rocking them.

Someone that was able to afford 8 units of tubular batteries could not afford a better charge controller. That's probably a 40A or 60A Chinese generic controller. For installation like this he'll need about 100A to 120A charge controller to take care of battery charging during the day and day running loads. Also, there might be insufficient solar panels on his roof. At least, I've been running off grid on solar power system for over 4 years now without PHCN connection or backup generator.

In actual sense, inverter is just an integral part of a UPS and can do much more than what inverter can do, in fact you've not been fair to the inverter by comparing it with UPS because it can do much more than inverter. If you use a real UPS in your comparison (not the toy used in this video), the inverter don't stand a chance at all. Note that there are 3 types of UPS topologies namely: Offline(Standby), Line interactive and Online, I'll advice you study and use a standard UPS for your comparison. In my field experience, I've witness lead acid batteries lasting up to 10 years in a UPS installations but you'll never see that with inverter installations. In fact, UPS has more functions and superior battery management (ABM) that supersede that of inverter. In addition, UPS can protect your critical loads against the 9 common Power problems like: Power failure, Power sags, Power surges, Under voltage, Over voltage, Switching transients, Line noise, Frequency variation and Harmonic distortion. While inverter can only protect your critical lists against only 3 out of the 9 problems which are Power failure, Power Sags and Power surges.
