When we use the term world I would imagine we are referring to the planet that we are currently living on. Currently the top competitors in the US for pickleball are the best in the world. That is a literal fact. There is no where else in the world that the competition is higher for pickleball.

And some people complain now at rec play, if you're playing with one, even if it's not officially banned there.

Well unfortunately I’m out of luck I guess…the seller didn’t get it from a retailer… so I’m just stuck with it.

@@santis9467 if I were to guess that is why Joola flooded the third party market with paddles, never seen a major manufactures newly released paddle hit the bay so fast, they were on there the day of the release, that’s the only way they will make any money on Gen 3 paddles, no warranty, no returns….

Usa pickleball regulates pretty much every tournmanet if you want to have a legit one and recs all over the country are banning the paddle as well. Passing on a free full refund is unwise. With all of these points yes the paddles are useless as of this point in time

it's not amazon, it's the seller who sold through amazon who isn't legit.

You should never order through Amazon for paddles. I don’t know why people do this besides Amazon prime shipping but that is the ONLY benefit. Doesn’t help small paddle businesses, you’re likely to get the “muts” of the batch, and it’s dependent on seller you buy from

I purchased my paddle on 6/4 and literally the next day they released this statement. I went back to Tennistopia where I got it from and they said I need to get the refund through Joola… I emailed Joola and still haven’t heard back I’m not sure what to do anymore. Should I do a dispute?

it was plastic wrapping. you are talking about the chip which is the white panel glued on the paddle. Plastic wrap does not have electrical wiring and Bluetooth connection...

I thought the same and figured will all the money on the line this would have been "worked out" with the paddles put back on the list. I would have lost that bet.

The plastic under the grip is the plastic we were ripping off in the video. The white piece is the chip to renew the paddle

@@Professor_Pickleball I see. The manager at my local store was actually just saying that plastic wrap is meant to be there on purpose in the other one's he has seen and replaced grips on.. I've only seen mine because I just took the grip off my hyperion to replace it and it had that same black plastic wrapping yours had. For the record, my bevel is also that manilla white color, whereas all the other gen 3's in his shop had a black bevel. Unsure if they've changed production in different batches or what that is. But I haven't experienced the squeaking. It's felt great so far!

It's funny you mention golf, because golf clubs are tested with the exact same coefficient of restitution test that pickleball is adopting. Every sport has regulations about the equipment it uses. Even running and swimming have banned certain types of shoes and swimsuits.

The problem with your statement, Pickleball has moved away from Wooden paddles a long time ago. No doubt sports evolve, however, at who's expense? There are inconsistency with both parties that effect the consumers currently.

Men’s tennis is boring more now than with wooden racquets. Watch Jimmy Conners or Jon McEnroe back in the day with wood racquets. Tons of more skill and patient and placement of the ball.

If you play tournaments l, likely only able to use it at a local ppa tour tournament. You can still technically play with it at rec, but people might now not want to play you

Definitely not a fun experience

I haven’t used the gearbox power but I hands that the magnus has more control and pop than it, power wise it’s very marginal. Haven’t used the dbd but I used the ruby as my main paddle until recently and since dbd and ruby are basically the same the only leg up the ruby has over the magnus I would say is drops and hand speed.

The paddle is one of the best on the market IF it has all the consistent features it should have, if you do get one just expect complications with consistency with the added core crushing you will likely use the warranty as your best friend
