Goddamn, this damn guitar had me up till 5 am fixing the whammy. I don't know how or why but the potentiometer would just go all over the place. I was able to fix it but I can't explain how. I was about to pull a whammy from a different guitar but I didn't want to lose the chrome aesthetic. I love these videos man. I'm literally glued to the screen and re-watching all your videos, just looking at all the different modifications you're doing to the guitar. They especially help when I mod some third-party guitars. I do agree most third-party guitars look ass, there are a few that look alright and even better after you paint them. Personally, I love the Starpower/Select, it is my absolute favorite on flying V. My palm rests over the button and can be activated with little pressure from the hand. I had this one Painted (Black body, Red plate) and modded for my Nephew. I do plan on replacing the neck, maybe one from the wireless ps2 guitar as the head will still point to the heavens like on the original. Edit: I wouldn't recommend the wireless ps2 guitar neck for this guitar. It looks cool but it doesn't fit. It required me to drill holes and sanding down the neck. Lets just say the neck it now permanently attached to the body. You can make it work but it damn it's a lot of work figuring stuff out step by step.

Amazing work, man. I love these breakdowns. I don't know what's up with these Gene Simon's guitars, but I actually have another I was working on that's like the polar opposite. Basically, the neck it really thick, almost 1.5 inches thick. It looks like they took a different direction designing the wii models.

My explorer still works fantastic, but I've been getting into doing really fast trips, and other higher-level tapping stuff, so I was wondering what kind of upgrade I can do to my friends to where I'll be more likely to hit more notes consistently? Is it the mechanical frets?
