  • Today I am back with another build video. This time we are ditching the old way of powering our guitar controllers by the use of 2 AA batteries and swapping it for something a little more modern, using a RC car battery of course!
    Parts used:
Gel Blaster 11.1VDC Batteries w/ Charger (I know not RC car batteries but close enough, lol)
    DC Voltage Regulator
    On/Off push button Switch
USB-C port (made with solder points for hobby projects)
    18g and 22g wires.
    Part 2 out soon
If you are interested in getting a GH controller made by me, feel free to reach out at either one of my go to ways

Look into other battery options, but other than that good luck! These things still work well but others have suggested better options and just wanted to mention that for your build

    Love the videos!
They’ve been informative as a first time modder with zero experience in any of this stuff, but is it possible to do a tutorial for modding the SG controller? More specifically just whether or not you can have a quieter strum bar and how mech frets would be installed to it. I’d love to see something from you about that controller. Sorry for the paragraph, keep up the great content.🥲

I'll get around to it. Wouldn't be too long to make honestly. I'd say 3D printed frets would be in the equation but other than that it will he straight forward. Or alternatively shameless plug I can always make custom stock frets to fit for a decent price. As for the build itself I have just the idea for what you're looking for!

@@ninjapwnsatlyfe Oooh I would definitely pay for custom stock frets that would fit the mechanical switches. That's the one part of the process that always confused me. You even replying helps me as I haven't done anything like this before, so anything more I appreciate times ten.

Hey I have a very pretty interesting request for a guitar refurbishment, I was wondering you are available taking in a guitar I have for repair. If so what would be the best place to contact you.

I have a suggestion on battery. You can use 18650 battery like what I do with my sunburst wireless x360 guitar. I cannot buy wireless receiver for pc so I use ps4 controller for wireless and use usb c breakout board. 1 18650 battery can last for atleast 3 days for me because I remove the led bar. I might add back the led to the upper strum bar. In my country, broken ps4 controller is cheaper than wireless receiver for xbox360. I really like to watch this type of videos. Nice video!

I'll look into it! Most all of my builds come from random ideas and I don't usually do an awful amount of research but I always love feedback and suggestions. Also as for this battery I am using here I have over 17 hours put into it so far and have no needed to recharge so I'm happy about that

@@ninjapwnsatlyfe I have a janky mods before I use the ps4 controller like the zero delay arcade encoder knockoff. It works but the polling rate is garbage and sometimes eat my input. I haven't tried arduino and pico modding tho.

Hi, I’m considering doing the same thing to a World Tour ps3 guitar.
Did you use a step down module to reduce the battery voltage from 3.7v down to 3v, or did you connect it directly to the board? That’s mostly why I haven’t done it, im worried about the .7v “excess”.
Thank u in advance if you reply!

@@juanpg5749 ps4 battery is the same voltage as 18650, so I don't need to use a step down module. Native ps4 guts into xbox360 sunburst. No additional mod required. You can also run it wired if you are a leaderboard or cared about spamming. Ps4 wired is decent too.
