Can’t you sand & stain darker? Why would anyone get rid of this?
Thank you i think I’ll be able to do it now😊
Thanks, I'm inspired!
Love the accent wall!
Looks amazing!
Nice I know this is an old video but TY very much for doing it / you steps are exactly what I got / I will do the same thing TY again !
Glad my video could help!
Looks good
Great demonstration. Thanks!!!
Great video. But how do you remove parquet without damaging it?
I'm not sure if this is possible sorry.
My toxic trait is I think I could do this as smoothly and easily as him 😂 great tutorial
Thanks but not much to learn from this ... all done wrong having watched other vids.
What paint beside white can use is brown good???
You can use any color you want. Lighter colors are more common.
Thank you, makes me feel confident I can tackle this myself. Nice and clear!
Any updates on it?
@deanbellamy7614 the deck still looks and feels just like new!
I need to do this but I dont even have the confidence to try and do this by myself
@ThePrincesselise06 just take it step by step. Start by doing what you can and your confidence will increase
Pretty good looking job. Stairs are a real pain considering their use and obviously you want them as safe as possible 👍
Glad you didn’t cut out the “oops” 😅. So cute. Also great video! I am literally following your step by step refinishing process on my 100+ year old stairs. Thanks!
@lc3722 good luck with your project!
This is a good idea, my Concrete Stairs somehow is too low as well. Like it is so dangerous stepping out when there is a big drop.
Great Job!
Thanks!
very good work sir!
Thanks sir!
Dad at work😊
Thanks!
😍😍
@@livesimplynutrition thanks!
Did you use a waterproofing sealer when finished? If so what brand did you use? (the brush on you used at the end of your video : ) Thanks in advance!
@d.s.6882 hey, I can't remember the brand but I would recommend using an oil based waterproofing because it's easier to put on and you won't have to pressure washer to take it off
Hi, I'm following your directions to build a memorial box filled with new dog toys for people (in memory of my dog). Your clarity and directions have allowed me almost complete this project, and I'm a novice--Very well done! As I'm a novice, I cannot wrap my brain around your bottom frame involving 24 inch cuts. When installed with pocket screws to the front and back, I have the total bottom being 29 inches long (24 inch cuts, and the addition of 2.5 inches from the front structure and 2.5 inches from back structure). When the 5 bottom boards are screwed in, they will have a width 27.5 inches long (5.5x5). In my mind, there will be 1.5 inches that will not be covered on the bottom. I'm missing something in my calculations, right?
Good job bro! Enjoyed the vid
At first I thought you were doing piano stairs... I didn't like that. now I see... you're just smort. I'd have done all of the stairs and then just.... Not gone upstairs for a day...
Interesting. Thanks for sharing. NL
How do l know how much carpet l need
@@kolaabe I would recommend searching stair carpet calculator on Google. Or take measurements and ask the carpet store.
Doing every other step was a great idea. How long do you have to wait before you can walk on the steps the after the first coating?
@@tavonb6478 I recommend doing th 2nd or 3rd coat of polyurethane before you walk on them. I waited 24 hours after my final coat before walking on them.
be nice to see Carpet and underlay in my hallway and stairs soon,I have laid a stairs carpet before,Know the easy ways of fitted it down
Great job 👏🏾
What tool did you use to paint the white steps?
It's called an edger paint brush
I have to do the same exact thing to mone, thanks bud.
I want to do this as well for my stairs. I’m glad I found your video, very helpful. We have what I believe is golden oak. I would like to make them more of a Smokey grey look, do you think that’s possible? Thank you in advance.
It may be possible. Make sure to sand down any previous stain and apply the right stain that matches the color you're going for. Make sure to test a small area first and let it dry to see if you like it before doing all the stairs.
That is beautiful!!! I think I may try that in my home!! Looks very clean!
What size is the deck?
How deep did you dig for the blocks?
Each hole is a bit different because the ground wasn't leveled. However, I would recommend going about 4-6 inches deep.
Love the final design!
20 years from now... Whos the moron that covered these perfectly good concrete steps with rotting wood..
thats gonna sink into the ground over time
I did something similar 17 years ago, my dad said the same thing. It hasn't sunk at all lol
Hi. This video and detailed explanations, step by step just encouraged me to build an outside storage box. Thank you for making it so clear and easy to follow. Just to tell you, I am 75, and you gave me he courage to build exactly what I need. 😊
what if the concrete is all crumbly underneath
Hey, I wouldn't attempt using this method if the concrete is crumbling as it won't last and be unsafe.
Hey watching this video because I’m interested in just doing it myself. What did you apply on the floor after removing the parquet flooring before applying the new floor?
Hey! After removing the parquet I added an underlayment before installing the laminate flooring.
What is it and thank you for your immediate response.
Do you have the video about how you placed the underlayment?
@@TheDehelwitya Here is a video of me installing underlayment and laminate flooring: ruclips.net/video/I6H14BBI5zs/видео.html&ab_channel=RenoForLess
Great video. I need to do this to store outdoor cushions. What's that device called that you used for drilling diagonal holes?
Thanks! The tool is called a pocket hole jig. Good luck!
couldn't follow with the irritating music.
I love your deck. What a beautiful deck you have there.
Did you manage to do it all in one cut or did you have to do more?
The stairs was done all in one cut (cut a little extra so you can trim afterwards). The landing above the stairs has it's own piece.
@@renoforless I suppose the best place to cut it as I'm going to have to is just under the lip where you can't see it. You know the rounded part at the tip of the stair. I was just looking for help on how to cut it.
@@paulanthony5274 Yes, that's correct. best to cut it right under the bullnose (rounded part) of the landing.
I'm going to do this, plus the attach tiny patio (so tiny that one chair would block the doorway). Very excited, your video was a very helpful guide
Best of luck!
Hi, what is the name of the grout you are using, and where can you get it please?
Hi, I sued a pre-mixed grout from Home Depot. I can't remember the exact brand but I believe it was Simple Grout.
Hi, your video is the best i have seen on here , i have subscribed and liked, thank you, you have done a great job, i hope mine turnes out like yours 🙂
