Arrma Big Rock 3s BASH + Broken Differential!

Arrma Big Rock 3s BASH Broken Differential!
Its a great video, may i know what kind of tpu for tyres is best to use?
The softer the better, I would think
you should try building the one tom stanton made
Are you talking about the single motor one?
Do you know if Bambulab 95A TPU will work? Thanks
I'm not sure, but if it's not too wobbly it should.
If you wanna be sure it's best to take a stiffer TPU like 98A or 58D
Thank you for showing a 2200mAh li-po will fit! Very valuable info!
Keep in mind not all 2200mah lipos have the exact same dimensions
The diffs were the big issue on mine. Lasted less than a month.
I heard there are actually upgraded replacement parts available by now
Best value rc car on the market
Nice video, i'm quite impressed with the wing. Just a suggestion, how about 3d printing a high downforce wing like the agama beta wing or vp pro? That might test the tpu more, and they make quite a difference to the handling of the car.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I've never heard of those, will have to check them out. :) btw I recently did a video about an active rear wing I built, might be interesting for you as well
Got one for à 9 yrs old girl she gets it tommorow hope she likes it good info thx
I had some of throttle issues, just ended up being the throttle trim, my TX had a very sensitive trim knob and even a slight bump and it would give me throttle lag
Oh that's weird, never had that issue. Probably just bad quality control
Is it to difficult to handle for a 10 years old?
On 2s it should be fine, they can just start with the throttle limit switch set to 50% to get used to it first. I started driving rcs around that age and it worked out well
No, my 6 year old son has this and loves it. Took a bit of practice but handles it really well, especially on 70% power. Really hardy RC car as well as his has been launched of all sorts of stuff and still hasn't needed anything replaced yet.
Wow, very impressive! Thats a sick car btw Love the big wing Looks like a hotwheels :D
Thanks bro! :D
Very professional video
I'm glad you like it! :)
Happened to watch the second video before this one but nice teaser regardless
Thanks, doesn't really matter xD I wonder why the actual video is doing so bad though (worse than the teaser what the??)
One of my favourite creations by you
Thanks man :D
Potevi fare un video piú specifico spiegando come collegare tutta l' elettronica... 👎
@@maggio162011 just plug it into any free channel on the receiver. I didn't show the programming because that's different for every transmitter
@@ValRC1 per chi come me non ha mai fatto una cosa del genere quel video è inutile ed anche frustrante da vedere, vorrei tanto farlo ma non capisco nulla

Impressive, you're content keeps on getting better and better !
Thank you so much, I really appreciate it :D
Who's here from the discord server? Great work by the way! I'll try to build a similar one
Thanks! Hey I'm glad you found your way here - have fun building yours as well :D
✋
Me too!
I enjoyed watching this, very fun! Next iteration could perhaps be a "fan car"? sucking it to the ground?
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Ohh I've thought about that as well, I think it could be really cool but would probably require a super powerful fan. By the way, I'm working on a (sort of) related car right now. It uses an RC Airplane EDF, but instead of producing downforce it is pointed toward the rear, the car's wheels are disconnected from the drivetrain and the car is fan-driven :D
@@ValRC1 You wouldnt need a powerful EDF at all to create tremendous downforce just so you know :). reconsider the concept please and most of all have fun!
Fantastic work, dude! Really well done! 😃 I have a Scy 16302 here... It's a 1/14 I believe. It looks like a 1930s Ford, but with a big back wing! 😂 Perhaps it could be a future project for me! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thank you - it's definitely a fun build! Is that car you have an Onroader or Offroader?
@@ValRC1 Onroader and also a drifter. 😊
Nice
I hat a great video, you should try this with a rc airplane with an adjustable airfoil
Oh wow that actually sounds really cool - thanks for the Idea! I don't have any experience building rc airplanes but def something to try out in the future :0
It's too big and against the scale.
Thanks for the feedback! Tbh it depends what it's used for, I kinda like the look of the big wing and it works pretty well for me
i honestly enjoy this kit...after almost a year of bashing ..the steering links busted..Ackerman went loose..ive change the spur and bevel set from the 1/14 mjx to my 1/16 hypergo since the original ones stripped due to all time 3s load....i did some suspension tuning..400cst oil shocks and upgraded spring from the original with abit harder rate..throw in proline caliber rubbers...radiolink radio. & HW 16BL30 esc....and it runs, responded great on offroad tracks... kindly take a peek....thanks..... ruclips.net/video/IciHSOw-rck/видео.html
Put 1/10 2 wd fronts on truck much better
which ones?
@@ValRC1 jconcepts doubledees
Cool, thanks for the suggestion. What terrain are you using them on?
@@ValRC1 dirt
Please make one with the hole for swing arms. Thank you so much
Thats looking crazy cool!
Thanks! :D can't wait to release the finished video
Did you ever run it across water?
I've never tried it! I'd have to add foam to the underside to ensure it floats when the hover motor stops spinning, and waterproof the electronics first.
Cool!
What filament is that?
It's TPU, I used 95A but the harder the better (98A or 58D would be great)
Awesome! Looking forward to the video, dude! 😃 Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, you too! :)
Cool idea but change the wing, it's too big and stands out too much.
Thanks for your thoughts on it! Personally, I like how it stands out
The radio and reciever it came with is good..the esc is the lagging issue...its either defective or not a good match for the motor...
Or maybe you did get a defective tx and rx with it.
I found both to be pretty laggy
You think Rc company’s wanna be broke once you don’t need anymore parts 😂 they fraud us since the start
True 😂😂
I have tried TPU but it wasn't ridgid enough. What tpu filament are you using or what hardness?
I was using 95A here, have since tried some 58D which works even better for stuff like this
Awsome!!!
What motor do you used?
I had this rc for like 4 month on 2S, and then iswitched to 3S. After just 3 rides the teeth of my gears broke aswell. And indeed, a lot of work to replace. 😥
Aww, I hope it lasts longer now!
Does it mess with the handling or steering, suspension geometry specifically under load? I'm working on a project to 3D print a whole 1/10 scale car, don't know if I should use TPU for the arms as shown here though due to flexing. Guessing that for a lighter car it might not be a problem but for a heavier car not sure.
If the arms are thick enough and you print it in some harder TPU like 98A or 58D it should be fine. There's only one way to find out though!
I am injoy form india 😊❤
I'm glad you like it! Greetings from Austria :)
Subs, do you have model for the front bumper?
Iirc I downloaded that one from thingiverse
Can you share your bumper file?
Iirc I downloaded that one from thingiverse
@@ValRC1 how much the part you've printed weight?
I have both a 16207 and a 14210, and on both the cars are cutting out if I go full throttle and into a skid??? Anybody got any ideas? Just purchased 2 new ones, hope it is the Esc.
oh wow that's really weird, I've never had or heard of that issue. Might be related to the ESC or/and Transmitter. Hope you get it figured out!
@@ValRC1 yeah very weird, removed all ESC wires and changed this morning, let's see if that works.
WLToys is more like the cheap clone of the LC Racing cars, as you correctly mention in the video. Maybe the clones are decent value for money, but the original is more refined. As for reliability, all I have replaced so far are batteries, tires and a steering servo
Nice, glad you like yours as well!
@@ValRC1 Actually ran mine today. Btw, talking about the first generation, EMB-1H series, but pretty similar
I'd thought about TPU for arms before, my only concern is that the flex will put too much strain on the camber and steering links, as well as the driveshaft. Awesome to see it worked out though!
Works great! I just don't recommend it for racing or speedrunning as it does make control a slight bit more imprecise because of the flex
I think the shock towers and the hubs are different
Oh okay, I knew about the shock towers but the hubs as well? interesting
I could help notice you're in Vorarlberg. Great to see someone from the region creating fascinating content! :) Just bought my first simple cheap RC car to get a bit in the hobby. I have couple of 3d printers and a good expertise in the field. It's going to be great. :)
Oh cool, nice to see someone from the same region! :) Awesome, rc models and 3d printers are a great match! I've actually started printing an almost fully 3d printed rc car, gonna have to see how well it turns out though. If it works well, I'll probably make a video about it as well!
Can it can on water
Probably, after adding some foam to the underside and waterproofing the electronics! :)
This channel underrated fr
Thank you, I appreciate it!
@@ValRC1I try to make my videos as good as yours
That's so cool dude. Any ideas on how to improve the rudder so it doesn't get as damaged? Also, do you think it'd be easy to make it somewhat waterproof? It'd be great to see it in some amphibious terrain.
Thanks! The Threaded rods I added in the video actually did a great job at protecting the rudder and servo - haven't broken one since! As for waterproofing, it can be done either by using a waterproof Receiver and ESCs in the first place, or by waterproofing them with some conformal coating. It's probably a good idea to install some foam to the underside as well, in case the hovering motor slows down or stops
@@ValRC1 I'm sorry. I meant to ask for the air cushion / skirt. English is not my first language and I mixed the words. The air cushion showed some damage. It's true it can be "easily" replaced but I was curios to know if there it a more permanent solution.
@@5eurosenelsuelo ohh okay, yes I've heard some people sew them out of ripstop nylon fabric, making it waaay more durable and even perfectly usable on asphalt
What transmitter is that?
It's a Flysky GT5
Kind of expected you to try textures on the 3d printed rubbers
Thanks for your thoughts! The thing is, on a clean road surface slicks usually have the best traction - and even on a clean road these were extremely slippery..
@@ValRC1 oh I see. Maybe try to break that 101km with some PJ1 TrackBite? :0
