Nice video, i'm quite impressed with the wing. Just a suggestion, how about 3d printing a high downforce wing like the agama beta wing or vp pro? That might test the tpu more, and they make quite a difference to the handling of the car.
Thank you, I appreciate it! I've never heard of those, will have to check them out. :) btw I recently did a video about an active rear wing I built, might be interesting for you as well
Actually, I'm working on an improved design rn :) this one was great already but there is still room for improvement. Filament used is 95A Sainsmart solid color TPU
@@ValRC1 great. is there a chance you share the stl on printable or so..... I need one of those myself... I am fed up with buying wings on regular basis....
@@wkatt3573 ohh wait a minute, this is about the wing. lol sorry most comments I get are for my Wltoys TPU Arms, which i'm actually working on an improved version for. The wing is pretty much perfect in terms of durability already tbh. I'm thinking about uploading my designs on cults3d for really cheap, to get a little bit in return for all the work that went into them and enable other people to print them out themselves. Would you be interested in that?
Hello, great video! That wing was amazingly strong! I have a question that I thought you might be able to help me with. I have a Traxxas Bandit that I speed run and it is almost to 160kph. It needs a front spoiler to do this and I have had several printed in PLA but as soon as I even have a soft crash, they break. Do you have a recommendation on what kind of plastic to use? I was going to try something besides PLA but I am also trying to not make it too expensive. It needs to be able to stay ridged as it will get some downforce pulling on it but I al also looking for something that doesn't break as easy. If you want to see the spoiler I have been using, it is time stamped in this video. ruclips.net/video/vQqq5Cvch68/видео.htmlsi=oZj__BVhNYj3WThh&t=449 Thanks so much!
In this video I used TPU, but that probably wouldn't be too optimal for speedrunning as it is pretty flexible and can deform under high loads. If it needs to be stiff, Polycarbonate (hard to print, toxic fumes and expensive) would be optimal, but PCTG might work as well. Nylon is a solid middle ground between flexibility, toughness and stiffness but again, a little bit harder to print. Maybe you could also change the design if it breaks at a weak point / mounting point?
@@ValRC1 I was talking to a buddy to see if he might be able to help me improve on the design and make it a bit stronger. I really appreciate the advice!

The man, the myth, the legend, FlexiVal lives on
Lol
perfect Design. could you let me know the filament brand and type you used.... there are so many on the market with different flex characteristics...
