2018 M240i with the very same issue (even the tailight response after some spanking lol) . Went to the dealership and they tried to reset the firmware, didn't work. I'm going to try this this weekend. Thanks man!

I own a 1999 Z3 Coupe. You need to adjust your door latch. To open your driver door, push in on the top of the door, just above the handle, before pulling on it. It will open easily.

Did you have to apply a lot of force with the screwdriver? Cant seem to get the actuator twisted out

Just installed mine. I can only hear the whooshes when im driving. When parked/neutral and reving i only hear it sometimes or none at all, did you notice the same?

I dont understand when people make claims that its a reliable car and then they say they have 60k miles on the car...I mean there are already some cars that have reached 1 million miles....i mean I would consider that reliable or even 500k miles but I have yet to hear anyone saying their b58 has reached 500k miles and still going.

Personally, asd sounds in 240i, 340i are pretty enough to make your ears happy. You bros are just spoiled man😢😂. And ya, mines F30/B48. Also, it’s best that you don’t mess up the parameters, originally done from where it was built. ASD settings has huge effects with your xenon/led headlight beams. Model=correct beam pattern, Engine=the length of your light beam reachability. Power=the brightness… if you change any of those parameters, the sequences of adaptation in your headlights will get changed as well.

Anyone know what kind of 0-60 times you'll get with a non x-drive on stage 1? Seems like stock vs stock the x-drive is 2-3 tenths quicker but there's lots of conflicting info

For the “take off in second gear” function, does that apply to when you’re driving the car fully manually with the paddles or does it shift all the way down to 1st gear still?

You may want to transfer the plastic lug from the back of the old radio. It serves as a rear support and I had some rattling with my new radio until I transferred it. My new radio was shorter than the OEM one so I ended up 3D printing a longer one. I hate rattles and having a M Roadster it was a challenge to eliminate them.

Crucial detail missed in this video! The orange wire labelled “car light” or “illumination” should NOT be wired! It should remain unwired like the two green wires shown in this video. Wiring that up made the radio reset every time I turned my headlights/high beams on. This radio stays constantly illuminated, so having the illumination switch wired up caused issues with the radio and other car electronics until it was undone. DO NOT CONNECT THE ORANGE WIRE ON YOUR E36 BMW!

Ran this unit in my old e36 but though the sound quality was not the best. Switched to an alpine unit on my roadster this time around, doesnt look as good but sounds much better imo. great video!

I did this job today, thank you for the very helpful video. Unfortunatly the job didn't go smoothly for me. I dropped a couple of the metal retaining clips down the back of the engine so I need to buy new ones. Secondly I used aftermarket parts, and the car now runs much rougher than it did before so i have to source some OE ones.

After getting the dp + dual resonator delete can you still hear it? Was wondering if it’s still worth to get after modding the exhaust system for just sound or does the dp overpower the intake sounds

I’ve always said this “the worst thing you could do is not drive a car.” That’s why I stay away from old cars w ultra low mileage. I have an M Coupe (55k miles) and E36 (115k miles) both w the S52 engine and this has never happened. I drive them regularly and spiritedly. If you don’t already know, the S52 is an amazingly reliable and sturdy engine. Drive it and enjoy it! But drive it.

i share the same sentiment, the sense of speed is screwed in these cars, im in a 50km/h backroad i push the pedal a bit and im directly at 120 and need to dial it back hahaha, its impossible to drive these cars to their full abilities without being a public danger. How is your new shoe feeling right now on backroads, do you get snow in winter? is the rwd experience that much different? sometimes i get the devil you got too and makes me wanna switch to a more old school one, rough one hahaha

Nicely said 👌, my vanos actuator also acting up from time to time. I got the drivetrain malfunction and took it to the dealer for diagnosis they recommend swapping intake and exhaust solenoid and see how it goes.

Even the 2015-2017 n55 is insane with a simple $700 bootmod tune…. 0 to 60 in 3.7secs. I’ve worked on these and aside from basic maintenance (usual chargepipe etc) , I seen most go 150k+ miles

B58 2020+ the most reliable cars…
