Swapping my car to a 5.0 finally
Bucephalus finally receives the engine it deserves as a baseline. From here, i can start using the parts i've always wanted for the perfect setup and fitment in the engine bay. With this engine platform, switching between long blocks will be a breeze since the same parts fit the same way between one 302 and the next 302.

You can re bend the factory ones along the firewall and under the wiper cowl. It worked for me but i have yet to bleed the brakes just fyi
@@isaiah-lava5.086 well the factory lines are already gone, unfortunately. I was going to redo the fittings on them and shorten the lines up a bit too. So i'll be attempting to do that and see how things pan out cause i need to figure out how i'm going to adapt them to an fittings
Boss. Why do you need rain slicks for. People don’t race in the rain that’s how you will end up crashing the car
@@TurvisNeckTattoo or you know, that's exactly why the tires were made in the first place?
Bro😂 I threw mine away. They were trash and they were on my stock 2011 Mustang stock rims.
Slick!
U put all that junk on a motor thats filled with dirt 😂 did u even hear this pos run before u wasted all this time and money 🤦♂️
@@kwmiked at least i got time and money to pursue a project like this. I'd love to see a project you're working on to make me shut my mouth

This is going to be one awesome build.
Serious question Turvi, where are you getting that 600 hp number from? Whats it based on?
@@joejackson9172 ferrari 6.0 engines. A GOOD 6.0 is a GOOD 6.0. The sbf has already been proven to make high hp n/a in nascar and drag racing
@Diamondsintherubble but....your combo isn't a Nascar or drag race setup. You need really good heads, high compression and a relatively big cam to get that number N/A. Cubic inch is also your friend.
@@joejackson9172 well i have ootb vic jrs that need to get set up and a 251/256/ @.600 cam laying around. But i'd like to redo my build for more cubes and rpm. I even got a full stroker kit with forged pistons and rods. It's a 352 (347 with 4.060 pistons)
@@joejackson9172 with a stroke of luck, hopefully i can land the job i want after the end of the year and shell out some serious cash on a different engine setup. I'd love a scat featherlight crankshaft, titanium connecting rods, 4x holley 2bbls to be like boosted webers, and a set of heads from ultra pro machining. Hopefully i can squeeze the hot setup into a stock roller block but it all comes down to valves fitting the bore, no other reason

@@Diamondsintherubble So it's for Alex...
Did turvi just admit that he is a troll?
@@TidesGate i didn't say that either
Let’s go
you are going to smoke Alex from a dig and from a roll !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
@@anthonymontoya6950 he can have the dig. I'm never going to risk my axles or transmission on that 😅. I'll take him up on a roll race but i'll never EVER do a dig, no matter how much clowning and name calling is involved
If you setting this up to be a carb car, find a 79-85 mustang to at get an idea how everything is plumbed. If youre lucky you can get the factory Dual snorkel intake for carburetor engines. Lastly, Dude limit them short cuts. You shortcut your way through this build is the quickest way for this to bite you in the ass. Dont play with the brakes, Electrical or fuel
@@bla9ckcob5ra i was looking at the vortech carb hats or a factory air cleaner just to have a single set up for now. I'm really focused on the throttle and choke for the moment, the rest should be pretty easy. And i don't want to make any mistakes with a shortcut on this build. Yes some things can be overlooked but for example the bolt around the timing cover is something i can't ignore without consequences

@@joeyg1170 ?
Inside joke. On one of his lives his chair was squeaking and everyone thought it was his smoke detector lol.
Bros gonna put 220 to the flywheel and think he's badass.
9 volt batteries get expensive but keep plugging away youngster👍
7:40 💀💀 "new part with gunk" literal material falling out. I'd start with nylon brush pipe cleaner before going abrasive on very Malleable metals. Please go slower with the build it's a junk yard engine... Make a list, check clearances, prevent rework.
@@nerbon7164 i'll take note. Thanks for the tip
Your neck may say #2 but you’ll always be #3 in my book. Mr Roush himself would envy this build.
lol that offset oil filter adapter is an oil cooler.. gonna want that if it’s a GT3 car.
@@kilometers1115 hmmmm. I know i'm going to want one but i'm not quite sure how i'd like to plumb it. I know i'm doing the diff and trans in the side quarter scoops but haven't figured out how i want to do engine oil yet

Instead of working on that boat anchor, you should work on throwing some batteries in that smoke detector.😂
@@radioactivefabrication i straight up don't feel like it
Do yourself a favor Turvi and get a roll of NiCopp brake line. It won't rust, easy to bend, no coating to remove for flaring. For making the bends, you can use a coat hanger for the mockup
Thanks for the tip! I'll have to practice more with my roll of brake line, i think i need a bench vice to help. But i didn't think of a coat hanger for the mockup. I was gonna hot glue cheap pipe cleaners together to see but i like your hanger idea a lot better
You’re doing more than most Turv big props but I can’t stop laughing when I heard the smoke detector 😝.
