    Very informative video! Showing the cutting/leaf for propagation, along with the water or soil method, was extremely helpful. I was searching online specifically to find out if just a leaf could be propagated. All videos were useless until I found yours. I realize this is an older video, but I wanted to thank you for sharing your knowledge in such a clear and easy way to follow. I love Coleus, and I'm so excited to start my propagation journey! Thank you!

    When propagating in water, how often do you change the water to keep it clear and clean?

    • @Mrtinyfarmer
      @Mrtinyfarmer 2 месяца назад

      I think best and optimal condition is to change water every two or three days but Coleus are so resilent and they can survive and grow nice roots even if you don't change the water. Just keep in mind to start with the clean glass or jar for the process.

    • @Mrtinyfarmer
      @Mrtinyfarmer 2 месяца назад

      Thanks for your comment, maybe I didn't provide complete info in the video (too shorts) but this is not corn. Following is more detail about it. Corn plant, also called cornstalk or mass plant (Dracaena fragrans 'Massangeana') is a flowering plant in the Asparagaceae family, originating from tropical Africa. Its common name comes from the resemblance of the main stalk to a corn plant.

    • @Mrtinyfarmer
      @Mrtinyfarmer 2 месяца назад

      Dracaena (apartment corn plant) belongs to Asparagaceae but its not eatable like asparagus. This plant has Saponins which is toxic for pets and not very good for human stomach😁🤦🏽‍♂️

    How do I clean its leaves from dust? Should I spray it with water?

    • @Mrtinyfarmer
      @Mrtinyfarmer 3 месяца назад

      Yes you can, if there is too much dust showering your plant is working just make sure drinage is good and roots remain healthy. If dust is not too much spraying it with water or using soft damp close should work fine (if your plant is not too big).

      Normally yes, sometimes you can keep them for while by prunning and keeping them in proper condition. Never I was able to keem them for longer than few months or maximum one year after flowering but you can keep non flowering plant for many years (I have five years old plant).
