Swift Carrera 184, new van, new channel, the wait is almost over
Good morning Andy, as you know we are in our van on a weeks holibob and keep looking at your videos. I don’t know if we’ve missed any but we have a very noisy fridge that hums loudly. It seems more so during the night and goes on for hours, and wondered if yours or anyone else has the same problem. We know that a compressor fridges are a bit different as all others we have had just hums quietly in the background. I am so desperate to look in all the doors for the insulation problems as you say the lack of, but the side slider and the two cab doors must be insulated but am finding that there is slight condensation and drafts in those area. Just got to be brave and take the panels off (gently) to check. Could be a video, on how to do such a thing 😂😂
Hi Lee, when we get in bed, I always put the fridge on "quiet." In this mode, the fridge compressor slows & the display shows an ear 👂 To get the fridge in "quiet mode" you simply scroll through the user menu by pressing & rotating the single dial on the fridge. As for the insulation, I still plan on removing the plastic pannels on the side sliding door & both cab doors so I can check them for insulation or the lack of it. 👍
Thanks Andy, that’s improved the noise a lot. First time we’ve had a compressor fridge, all our other motorhomes and caravans came with the 3 way type, no noise 👍 Happy New Year to you both 🍻🥳
@LeeLorrie, just 1 thing to note, after about 8 hours or so, the fridge defaults back to it's standard settings, so you may have to select "quiet" 👂again at bed time. Enjoy the rest of your stay & have a great new year 🥳
@ Thanks Andy 👍
Hi Andy, Great modification 👍 Can you still gain access to the boiler tap? Thanks Lee
Hi, @LeeLorrie. To access the yellow boiler drain tap, the board does need to be lifted a little so you can get your hand in. Luckily, lifting the board is a simple enough exercise. Removing those drawers has really opened up this space for larger items such as bedding etc etc 👍
Because we're newbies looking for places close by to build our confidence. Also have a similar van to your's albeit a 2004 Swift Carrera 122. Disappointed with some of the features, you need to compromise. I have garaged it for a month or two and found it necessary to buy a 1200w generator and a Jackery 1000w Explorer v2. When there is no snow I will take it for a run maybe a stopover. I've wintered it as advised. But now the engine battery has gone. Invested in a intelligent battery charger and so it goes on. It will be a pain removing batteries and charging at home. For info mine has two batteries from the factory just as poor as yours !! Because of our newbie status we need all the essential extras as we have none. Having said all that love it getting out and seeing your adventures. Best of British
Hello & thanks for tuning in. We're relatively new, too (12 months in now). Yes, I understand that the later 2024 Carreras have 2x leisure batteries & it still isn't much of an improvement. I believe they should have come with lithium batteries as standard. We're planning to upgrade ours to lithium at some point in the very near future. When ours isn't being used, I turn off the leisure side of it at the sargent unit (System shutdown) button. This saves the leisure battery from discharging. We love ours, but they're all a compromise 👍 Best wishes, Andrew & Tracey.
@@thomsonsUKtrips Thanks for your reply. But lithium needs a bit more research as it needs more than just a battery replacement, there's extra equipment as I understand...cheers👍
Sorry just a quick one having underslung tanks in the new year for gas bottle replacement...worthwhile. Space and off-grid advantages 👍👍
I'm looking into the whole lithium can of worms now. Many battery manufacturers claim a straight swap & many owners claim a B to B is needed. It is thought our smart alternator may cause added issues too 😲
We currently have a single refillable Safefill bottle located in the gas locker but I've also been looking at a larger underslung tank as this would be very beneficial 👍 I could use the empty cold gas locker for my Guinness 🤣
How about Whitby ?
@alancasey2650 Hi, Alan. Yes, Whitby is a good suggestion. We did plan on going to Whitby for Halloween 23 but didn't get delivery of the van in-time, then Halloween 24 I was working. Hopefully we'll get there in 2025 as it's somewhere Tracey & I haven't been 🎃
Evening Guys, Well, ya looked reet Settle'd there 😅. You are right it's a lovely little north Yorkshire village but not much there 😩. Just like Jo must have mayo with everything 😮. Have you tried Barnard Castle it's lovely not sure about pub stops seeing as we are in a caravan 😊 so can't use them. Have a great Xmas and see you in 2025. ☃️🌲🎁. Take care. Paul and Joanne 👍 ❤️. If any other people read this, spread the word. Let's get those subs up 😀. X
Hello, Paul & Joanne, thank you again as always for your fantastic comment. Tracey has Mayonnaise on her cornflakes 😁 We've driven through Barnard Castle many times (years ago before buying the FUN-Bus). Thank you for that recommendation. We'll have to venture there at some point in the near future. Best wishes, Andrew & Tracey.
I will never buy a Swift MH. Not happening. The public need to know how awful these MHs are, and then they'll stop buying them.
@bigtoe333333 I believe some manufacturers may well be better than other manufacturers, also some vehicles may well be better than others. I also believe many of these snagging issues are common place right across the leisure vehicle industry. The whole industry needs a massive shake up. Brand new vehicles should not leave the factory like this, unbelievable eh 👎
@@thomsonsUKtrips , tbh its convinced me to buy German. They seem more solid, with beefier fixtures and fastenings that seem like they wont just fall off on a weekend trip. My biggest headache at the moment is deciding between the extra space of a MH, or the extra freedom of a 6.4m van conversion. I love space, but I also love an easier drive!
@bigtoe333333 Thank you for watching & good luck with your lengthy search for the right one 👍
Wow, cats go too!
😍 Festive Feline Fun 😍
Hi, firstly thank you for the 2 videos about your snagging list. We purchased our Swift 184 2Wks ago, and guess what we have a list of 10 things we found wrong with the van, and we haven’t even gone away in it yet 😩 one thing I spotted was the mirror in the wash room, it’s already coming unstuck at the bottom, might be worth checking yours? Most of our issues are minor things, but this shouldn’t happen when you’re paying £70,000 for a van. When it goes back to the dealer, I am making sure they check the insulation on the rear doors, that’s a joke after seeing yours, I’m sure it’s the same all round the vehicle. Swift don’t care about their customers, they just leave it for the dealers to get earache from the customer 👍 take care both, and wishing you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 🍻
Hi Lee & thanks for tuning in. We still have 4 of our issues that will hopefully be resolved soon. I hope to have a 3rd update video at some point in the new year. I have heard reports of the washroom mirror becoming detatched. Thankfully, ours looks ok. Many of the comments we're about the insulation in the rear doors or rather the lack of it. Unfortunately, it's not just a Swift issue, I believe all these snagging issues are common place throughout the whole leisure vehicle industry. It is half expected to have a snagging list as long as your arm & it's almost normalised across the leisure industry. Motorhomes, campervans, caravans, and statics all appear to accumulate many snags. When you finally get away in your 184, I'm sure you'll love it as we love ours. Wishing you safe travels, Andrew & Tracey 🍻
Hi Andy, We are away on our first trip away, we arrived on Christmas Day, on full service pitch, and guess what 😩 the shower tap is leaking Badly so we can’t use the water, because the pump won’t stop 🤬 lucky enough we are close to the shower/Toilet block, something else to add to our list, including cupboard door that needs replacing. Hope you and Tracey had a lovely Christmas 🍻 looking forward to your 3rd update in the New Year. Take care Lee&Lorraine
Hi Lee, sorry to hear you're experiencing further issues. Is there anything obvious you could do regarding the tap ? Is there a connection maybe that you can tighten up to stop the leak ? I'm going to contact both Swift & the dealer in the new year to see if I can put an end to our snags. My biggest annoyance currently is our pathetic factory fitted leisure battery. When off-grid, it barely lasts 24 hours. We've had a great Christmas here at the châteaux 😁 Best wishes, Andrew & Tracey.
Appalling quality and inspection. Even with all the snags rectified this has cost you time and you should recieve compensation.
Thank you for your comment & I like your thinking 👍
Glad you both had nice weekend in York love to both xx ❤
Cheers, Ann, for tuning in. Best wishes ❤️
Evening Guys, It's always sunny this side of the big hill 😅. You are braver than us two, wouldn't even think about York this of time yr, market or not, too busy for us. Sorry you didn't get your sausage 😮. Wraps looked nice though. Chester used to have a great Xmas Market. Glad you had a nice time though, see you on the next one 😉. Take care and travel safe 🙏. Paul and Joanne 👍 ❤️ PS tree up 24th down on 26th, Xmas spirit, bah humbug ☹️ lol.
Hi Paul & Joanne, I think you're right, it's always raining over t'hill, in't NorthWest, you know 👎 York was a tad busy. Tracey wanted a foot-long sausage, but we couldn't find any of that length 😩 Those Yorkshire pudding dinners were nice though 😋 Our Christmas tree gets put up on the 1st of December & lasts the whole month 😀 best wishes.
@thomsonsUKtrips Thanks, Feeling sorry for you, You deserve more views and comments, people don't realise how much fun you two bring. ❤
@Meggy6571 awwww, thanks for watching & thank you for your kind words 😍

@thomsonsUKtrips thank you so much
Just found your channel,I feel so sorry for you.Send it back,it's not fit for purpose, I'm buying a second-hand Hymer. The German people would not accept this poor quality.Push for a refund.
Hi Tim, thanks for tuning in & watching part 1 of our snagging videos. Here's part two if you fancy an update 👍 ruclips.net/video/ynXjytleSV8/видео.html Many people say the level of quality & level of detail isn't what it used to be on newer motorhomes.
Fun watching pigeon on Andrew head😂😂😂 look like Tracey enjoy feeding the pigeons xx
Hi Ann, I'd forgotten I had no hair & the fact that birds have sharp claws 🤣 Tracey loved the pigeons & doves but wasn't so keen on the geese pecking her knees 😄
This I not a criticism of your van, just an enquiry. I am reviewing vans at the moment to buy brand new. Have you checked the level of insulation? Is the van meant to be insulated? I recently saw a video were the owner took a trim panel off, and it was nothing short of a joke, 2 pieces of ill fitting insulation, and no vapour barrier. It may as well not been insulated. Do you use your van all year? How does it perform condensation wise?
Hi, firstly, thanks for tuning in & thank you for your enquiry. The video you watched was actually our video on this channel 👍I have since put up a "part two" video where I fitted more insulation in the rear doors, as many comments mentioned the insulation. I've put a link below 👍. We do actually use the van all year round & it has always been toasty warm. The whale heating is very efficient. I'm not sure how well the van retained the heat though, as you saw, the insulation did look to be sparsely placed. Swift claims these vans are insulated to EN1646-1 grade 3 classification for heating & thermal insulation. Here's "part two," where I add more insulation to those rear doors. ruclips.net/video/ynXjytleSV8/видео.htmlsi=HL-eHPs1vitdvu1W 👍
Andrew you are an 1D 10 T, but you made me laugh
@alancasey2650 as long as you're laughing, my work is done 🤣 thanks for watching, lol 😁
Hi Guy's, A cheeky weekend looked like fun. Not sure we could have done the bird feeding. It's funny to watch though 😅, especially the fact the pigeon slipped off someone's head 😊. Boat and a pint 👌. That park was proper dark sky stuff. According to Google the pub is permanently closed, surprised at that 🙄. Travel safe looking forward to the next one. Paul and Joanne 👍 😍
Thank you as always for your comment. Tracey loved feeding those birds 😀 How much fun can you have for a pound 😁 Let me tell you, putting the food on mi bald head wasn't the best idea I've ever had 🤣 I have a decent Celestron scope, unfortunately it's permanently cloudy 😨 I too would be surprised if the Kirkstone Pass Inn was not to re-open 😢 such a shame, but I guess it's a sign of the times.
@thomsonsUKtrips 👍🥰
Thanks 🙏
Trains, rains and wind farms Sounds like a movie 😜 Thanks 🙏 from Australia 🇦🇺
😍😁 great comment 😁😍
Wild guess but does the van have those plastic panels on the side of the body work likely they have removed that plastic to paint and broke the clips poping them back in so water leaks in behind them panels it's common gor ford tranits sprinters etc they forget to put silcone around the holes before putting them back on so water leaks in and over time rust the body from the inside out
@Johnkol88 The van body does have plastic down the sides but I would have guessed these plastic panels are lower than the seatbelt. The dealer is going to investigate as to why the seatbelt got wet when it next goes back in for further warranty work.
Should of rejected the van
Hi Kendo. You are required to give the manufacturer/dealer a reasonable amount of time to make the vehicle right. Cosmetic issues & minor faults are not enough to trigger your right to reject. These sort of issues should be dealt with under the manufacturers warranty.
I was based in Driffield back in the mid 80’s and loved York.
York really is a lovely city, there's loads & loads of history & plenty of interesting places to discover around every nook & cranny 😀

I remember you having lots of issues in your first video.I would have given the van back. I’m not having a go at you, but your drilling holes so the rear bed fits properly, your buying paint to sort the issue out. I would have thrown the keys back at them buddy.
Merlin, I understand your point entirely. I've bought insulation, too. As long as Swift continue to replace the rest of the items that aren't up to standard & we end up with an error free van, then I'll be happy 👍
Love the Carrea range, we ordered a 144, but it never came so went for a Consort Reef, great vans and customer service is brilliant 🙂 Glad your getting it sorted, hopefully all will be good in the end.
Hi, tylerstravels. Thank you for tuning in & thank you for your comment. Maybe you ordered your 144 around the same time as us as when we ordered this 184. We got to a point when we didn't think it was ever going to arrive. At the time, there were delays in chassis from Fiat, then delays in manufacturing from Swift. I believe many of our snags came from this being one of the very first off the production line. It's great to hear your Consort is good un. I'm hopeful all will be good with ours in the end, cheers, Andrew & Tracey.
Glad your getting some progress
@davidstonehouse6647 Yes, we're certainly going in the right direction. 14 down & 6 to go. Thank you for tuning in & thank you for your comment. Cheers.👍
Wow. Considering how expensive these new MH cost people i find it unbelievable to find you have experienced so many faults within weeks of sign off and purchasing. I say sign off, clearly that could not have been the case in your instances. Strikes me your particular MH must have had a quick visual only Quality Control type of inspection prior to you driiving off the forecourt. Any reputable dealer worthy of our custom would and does im sure have a proper Checklist both Internal and External of fhe MH. Indeed the odd human error and omision happens even if occuring by a reputable dealer and we would all accept that. But your 20 point snag list was imo beyond any acceptable standards set by a dealer. The MH was not fir for using so I would have returned the MH and insisted a new one ordered which they sign a statement of assurance with you stating they will do the full pre Sale Checklists both Internal and External of replacement MH. In the meantime you get given free of charges a similar as new MH during the interim period you are waiting for the acceptable new MH. May sound OTT to some people but I would on the original MH be going away on trips always with a niggle int he back of head that something is going to go wrong - rather than relaxing and enjoying the adventures. Well done getting 14/20. You are much more patient and tolerant than i would be in your position keep pestering them till you are total satisfied and then hopefully you enjoy yourselves.
Thank you for your comprehensive comment. These leisure vehicles are quite a high value item. Therefore, you'd like to think more care & attention would be given during the build. I'm hoping we'll soon have an error free van. Best Wishes 👍
When I saw that you fixed the bed and moved the brackets, they were well within their rights to void your warranty. I'm glad they didn't, though, because they could have if they wanted to.
😮😮😮
That would have been a shocker with our long list of snags 👎
I would have took it back and said see you in court for a full refund, and then built my own.
At least if you built your own, you'd know what was behind everything in the places where you're not meant to see 👍
@thomsonsUKtrips and alot cheaper. I bought a van myself a van and building one. Yes there is the time factor and the type of finish you don't get from building yourself one. But I couldn't part with £90k to buy a new one as it's only camping. Basically, you drive somewhere , have a bit of fun, sleep in it and drive home.
Thanks for posting. I looked at upgrading to the Carrera from our Elddis CV40 (which has had a few issues but not too much). I spoke to one sales guy at a show and he told me on average the Swift Carrera's have 70 issues which sort of made my mind up - it's still a lovely van though. Having successfully returned a BMW to a dealer because it was faulty from new I'd always suggest rejecting the vehicle ASAP and particularly highlight the not fit for purpose items. Give them a specific date to put it right by (not your problem if parts are not available) and give it back if they don't sort it. All that said, try and separate the aggravation from enjoying the van. All the best.
Wow, 70 issues 😵💫 that's bonkers ain't it. Good advice, thank you. Yes, we still do love the van, minus it's current faults & we're enjoying our travels. Best wishes 👍
Have took delivery of new bailey b62, already been back for warranty work, common theme to your own, just poor workmanship and low standards , also more issues going back again, not what I was expecting when I bought it
I think it's human nature, when we spend a few bob we expected everything to be right. Unfortunately, it's almost half expected & fully accepted to have a snagging list as long as your arm. Definitely poor workmanship & low standards. It is a shame, but I believe it's the same across all manufacturers.
Thanks for sharing. There's a lot of shoddy workmanship on the part of the manufacturer. No attention to detail. All about the money eh!
You're not wrong Alan, thanks for watching 👍
The van needs to go back in sooner rather than later with the water ingress issue. I wouldn't wait until it's meant to go back in with the other warranty work
There's definitely no sense of urgency, that's for sure.
I would and have done in the past rejected a motorhome as unfit for purpose. As for solar and power ( we full-time ) you will need a minimum of 400 watts of solar, 150 amps of lithium a decent b to b charger .
Hi & thanks for your comment. I think we're going to be going down the lithium route. We're just considering the different options at the moment. Thank you for your info on specifications 👍
You deserve a medal for your patience with Swift and the dealer. Glad you got a lot of it sorted. As regards the battery situation, we have 2 x 90 ah batteries and a compressor fridge plus 200w of solar we can do 2 days off grid but have decided to upgrade to lithium after 2 years of slight battery anxiety🙂. Not really necessary but the batteries will only deteriorate. Happy travels!
I'll happily take the medal for patience 😉 our list is shorter than it was, so I'll take that for now. We're going to go all out & also go down the costly route of lithium if all that gubbins is a possibility on our van, we may as well have it right. Thank you for your comment & best wishes.
Good to see part 2, also good to see progress, like most others have said these products should not be handed over like this. Customer and dealers having to put up with such poor workmanship. Chin up keep at them and thank you for highlighting this
As always, thanks for tuning in to "part 2." I'm sure they'll be a "part 3" as soon as I have any developments. Yes, 14 issues down & 6 to go, so I feel we're at least moving in the right direction. It really really is madness, isn't it that the quality control is almost nonexistent on such a high value item. Thanks again & best wishes.
This doesn't seem like cosmetic issues and minor faults, Insulation missing, bed not built properly, drain channel over rear doors blocked with mastic, probably at factory, fridge box broken, screws missing, and the rest. This seems more like bad build quality. The dealer should have checked these things before the handover.
Their build quality and quality control certainly needs to improve, doesn't it. They are supposed to be insulated to "Grade 3" the highest industry standard 👀 The rear channel is shocking I must say 😮
Good luck, whatever you decide to do. Clive.
well your getting there with it mate, keep at them and get it all sorted, really is a nice van.
Cheers, Andrew, yes, 14 snags down & 6 more to go, I am hopeful we'll get um all sorted. We do love the van. Thank you for your nice comment. Best wishes.
Hi you've done well, and got 9ff lightly with only 20 warranty isuses, Im not saying its right, its damp right disgusting. But it seems you have an understanding dealer? We purchased an Elddis CV campervan in 2021, I appreciate we'd been through the pandemic, but that doesn't give Elddis the excuse to have zero QC on their products, as for our dealer they were as much use as a chocolate fire guard. We've had 35+ issues, some like you door and pilar trim coming off, many Ive rectified or replaced my self. Major ones for us were 2 water leaks from heki an areal, we've had a new fridge, waterheater, tap, circuit board, control pannel, and new charger, the list goes on, we did reject the van but our dealer was having none of it. Good luck hopefully now you can enjoy your van.
Hi, Philip. I'm sorry to hear of your 35+ issues. When considering this Swift Carrera, we had the Elddis Accordo 135 shortlisted as a potential candidate. I'm lead to believe you are required to give the manufacturer/dealer a reasonable amount of time to make the vehicle right. Cosmetic issues & minor faults are not enough to trigger your right to reject. These sort of issues should be dealt with under the manufacturers warranty. We had to wait almost 1 year for delivery of this Carrera due to post covid & delays in manufacturing. Best wishes & happy travels 👍
Sorry to hear of your problems. If it was me, with so many problems II would have rejected the vehicle. I have just taken delivery of a 2024 Swift Voyager 594 automatic. A few snagging certainly no where near as many as yours. Good luck Clive.
Hello, you are required to give the manufacturer/dealer a reasonable amount of time to make the vehicle right. Cosmetic issues & minor faults are not enough to trigger your right to reject. These sort of issues should be dealt with under the manufacturers warranty. Hopefully, your Swift Voyager will be almost right straight out of the box. Best wishes & happy travels ❤️
These manufacturers just dont care! Its the same in every industry. After what you have exposed I wouldn't buy a Swift campervan or motorhome. In fact I wouldn't buy anything new , I'll get a 12 to 18 month old van. Thanks for sharing.
Throughout the whole leisure vehicle industry, these snags really are normalised. It's almost half expected to have a snagging list as long as your arm. You'd probably be better getting a used one with all the snags ironed out 👍
Hi there thanks for posting the video re your snag issues really helpful to know as we have a list of our own Can I ask re removing the back panels to add more insulation how to they come off ?
Hi, each rear panel is held on with 12 "fir tree panel clips." You will need a car trim removal tool & even with the correct tool, the clips are quite brittle. Therefore, will almost certainly need to be replaced. Luckily, they're very cheap on eBay etc etc.
Wow, sorry to hear that,
I guess as long as Swifts 3-year warranty is right, then I'm sure it'll all work out in the end.
Really informative as always, thank-you. Especially as we are weeks away from picking up our 2025 model year Swift Carrera 132 Auto. We live in the West Midland, close to a Company called ‘Blue-Fix’. For around £1500+ they do a complete lithium battery upgrade and fix, with appropriate batteries, Solar panels & the other gadgets for your individual electrical requirements. They can be found on RUclips and by some RUclipsrs who have used them. We plan to get our Carrera to them as soon as we can after pick-up, to sort out our Van’s electrical system, so we can off-grid for up to 5 nights on electric. Sadly at the Swift price-point of Vans, the electrical systems supplied, are not really designed for off-grid, only electrical Camp site plug-ins. We are looking into other major upgrades too, I won’t list here. We deliberately planned, Instead of buying a Van at £90,000, we went for the Swift Carrera, as it’s a nice looking Van, but a Van we could upgrade. It is currently costing with market conditions strained for manufacturers and dealership’s £5000 off from the advertised brand new OTR listed price. So it is costing us £72,000. We are then spending the other £18,000 on upgrades we could have spent on another Van/Manufacturer, to get the Van with upgrades we wanted, instead of buying at £90,000 and then still having to do upgrades! Plus Swift is British & I’m a big believer in supporting British products and British workers, regardless of some peoples views on Swifts quality. Your information you have provided on ‘snags’ has been extremely useful & if I run into you in the future, I owe you a beer, possibly at the Rob & Lynn 2025 Race for Dementia charity event they run. All the best for your future CamperVan trips 👍 🍻
Thank you for your comprehensive comment. Best of luck collecting your Swift Carrera 132, I'm sure you'll love it as we love our 184. Thank you for the info reference "Blue-Fix." I'll be checking them out for sure. We wish to do more off-grid as we prefer this way of travelling. We find campsites a bit too regimental, a bit too clinical. I'm guessing we're both of an age where we can remember when it was drummed into you to "Buy British." I'm also guessing all leisure vehicle manufacturers have quality issues, British or not. Yes, maybe we'll cross paths at some point in the not too distant future. If we do, then don't hesitate to say hello 😁 Best wishes, Andrew & Tracey.
Hi, Well, that certainly is an eye-opener. Nice that you are getting things sorted though, can't believe the dealer said your bed was now ok, think they missed the point you had fixed it yourself 😮. We have often wondered about body claims and who's responsible as with the seat belt issue. Not sure where you purchased the van from, but overall your dealer seems quite good from the vlog. Will you be keeping us up-to-date regarding the other issues 😳. Looking forward to your next vlog out and about. Take care 🙂 Paul and Joanne 👍 😍
Hi, yes, the dealer said it was ok now 😮 I said we had carried out a temporary repair, so we could use it & I wanted it replacing. Fiat Professional body shop did say they could look at it for me, but any cost would have to be paid by myself & it would be up to me to be reinbursed by Swift, ur no thank you. I'm sure they'll be a "Part 3" 😉 Our next travel vlog will be next Tuesday 5pm. Thanks as always for tuning in, cheers, Andrew & Tracey.
Essentially, a motorhome is a van chassis that someone has stuck a box on top with a thousand things that might squeak, rattle, leak, and roll. All for the price of a half-decent German family saloon.
That's not a bad analogy, John 👍
Thanks for your videos, enjoy following you both. Quick question… Do you have a TV in your Swift Carrera? I’m trying to work out, best size TV to fit in the rear lounge/bed area, as waiting to pick-up in early 2025, our new Swift Carrera 132 Van. Can find no measurements on Swift website, that shows width & height, that once mounted on the white mounting panel… =would fit under lockers =fit above any seat cushions =not stick-out into passage way from lounge to kitchen/bathroom area I was hoping for 27 inch TV, but suspect this will be too big. Any views, knowledge, measurements you may have would be greatly appreciated. One other quick question (apologies). When buying Van, did it come with summer tyres fitted, or all-season? I’ve found your Van information videos really helpful. Thanks. Good to see your having fun in good old UK.
Hello & thank you for your comment. Yes, we have a 12v 19" Cello smart tv mouted in the front dinette on a "mounting dream" swivel bracket. However after a year of ownership, we're planning on moving it into the rear lounge as we've found we usually watch it when in the rear bed on long dark nights & we haven't been watching it much at all over the summertime. I feel 27" would be far too large as the measurement between the wall & the passage way is 23". The vans come fitted with 225/75/16 Michelin Agilis Camping Tyres. Hope this helps. Maybe Google this tyre for more information. If you have any more questions, then just ask. As always, thanks for tuning in. Best wishes, Andrew & Tracey.
